We stayed at the same campsite. Went to the "Milly" for a meal and a couple of drinks not long after we arrived. Had a great meal then our holiday came to an abrupt end as I suffered a heart attack and was air lifted to Inverness. Our memories of Gairloch are a little different. I have nothing but a huge thanks to the NHS services that saved my life in June 2024. The hotel staff, local ambulance staff, air ambulance crew, and the Inverness hospital treated my wife and I so well. Had to watch your video to see what we missed. Plan to return from New Zealand next year to finish our holiday.

I saw Killer Whales on the ferry from Oban to Mull one morning. There were about 5 of them in a pod. It was amazing to see.

Brilliant video, showing Gairloch at its best. We lived for 15 years, just up the road at Kinlochewe. It’s a shame you didn’t have time to go to Badachro, it’s stunning there too. Keep up the good work. Just looked at my wife and she had a tear in her eye. Said it took her back to when the kids were young and they used to play on Gairloch beach.

Thanks a really terrific watch! We drove through Gairloch last May on our tour of Scotland and it was really busy, the complete opposite of what you have shown, the difference a few weeks can make? We are currently touring again & are in Stonehaven on the East coast. Tim, Jane and Archie.

Loch Gairloch is glorious anchored there when I sailed round the UK. Currently in my little campervan in the high coast of Sweden at 63 degrees north. Lots of snow and partially frozen lakes and rivers here! Brrrr.

Absolutely brilliant video. There can be nowhere more beautiful in weather like that. Stayed many years ago on Big Sands Caravan site at Gairloch which has access to another huge sandy beach.

You two (four) are fab, are you still in Scotland? We are trekking round too! Only for 2 weeks and come up twice a year but love seeing the vids you do, xx we are off to lewis and Harris next but can’t get the boat to Skye, driving all the way round! Can’t wait for the next episode

@@Stchristopherofatlantis oh yes we try and go yearly as fort William is where we met sort of but that's another funny story lol.like I said Scotland is good for the soul 🏴💙when Braveheart was filming in Glen Nevis we were actually there we saw Mel Gibson well,the back of his head while in his merc he's really tiny sort of midget size you know 🤣🤣.You have to go to the Queensview in Pitlochry omg the cafe there do the most amazing hot chocolate to die for Claire x
