  • I tried to travel from Da Nang to Hoi An using the local transport, which seems not to exisist. I ended up walking and then taking the motorbike taxi.

It does not feel so much logically, but if it’s hot (and I was also still little sick) then it’s a whole different story for sure 🤭

Be careful asking a beer ; "ba ba ba" (a well known 333 recalling the thai 555 ha ha ha) and not "bà ba". ;-)

Thanks for the info, but I do not drink alcohol so I should be fine with that 🙃

ahahah I don't agree to "dont believe locals" but "for bus stops, ask the only one bus driver...not any random passenger or passer by". In thailand, I have done tuk tuk trips like yours because I cannot read thai writing signs and the bus driver was nodding in the wrong direction ;-) I have the problem reading food in 7/11 too...si I am happy to find an hotel with the staff saving me. My advice : ask...any shop staff nearby.

Sorry that you had this experience in Thailand. I actually did not say that I would ask the bus driver. In general my experience after traveling to about 45 countries is that always double check all the information you get. In this case I did double check - first was a shop staff and second was a woman at the bus station. They both said that the bus goes to Hoi An. From now on, always triple check I guess 😂 But that’s part of traveling also and it’s ok.
