Being able to turn the shower on without cold spray, genius! Love it!
Only British people find mix-taps exciting! So cute. They’re standard in Germany and whenever I’m in the UK I shake my head at the two taps. You did a marvellous job making over this bathroom, Lily! However I quite liked the before as well, it looked new and quite chic. x

Yes, it was a nightmare when I studied in the UK. Separate taps are so annoying! And sometimes they are put into new houses! Why...
I´ll never understand either.
It's because in houses with older plumbing sometimes the hot and cold water don't come from the same tank and only the cold water is properly safe to drink. I had no idea about it since mixer taps are also standard in France but Tom Scott did a great video explaining it: czcams.com/video/HfHgUu_8KgA/video.html
Claudia Kumke in austria you will find both. I find both pretty normal and it’s not hard to simply turn on the other one lol
I really appreciate you trying to show the layout in the after video! Sometimes vloggers just show close ups and it’s hard to get an idea of how it all looks togethe. Also love the bathroom - a Scandinavian minimalist dream!

I love your bathroom. It´s not necessarily my style, but you put in so much thought into each little corner and the purpose behind it. And even though the bathroom before was recently done, you could tell basically zero thought went into that one.
Even though all the finishes are not my taste, I have to say that your structural and line decisions are excellent. Ripples really were very considerate about the little things that can annoy one about a bathroom that looks good but doesn't work fluidly. This design is great, and your line pattern choices definitely keep the eye interested. Thanks for taking us along on this journey with you😁

Love this so much! Before and afters are literally the best. LOVE how you changed the layout of the room - I think it is so much more beautiful and practical now. I love how the bath is under the window and is the first thing you see when walking in. Excited for you to do other rooms as well!

Your spatial planning is brilliant! You really opened up the room. I love hearing about all of the little details you put thought into that really make the room. Definitely inspires me to want to be super hands on with my own renovations (whenever I may get to actually do it)!

Your bathroom is GOALS! It looks so so nice! I also love grey with yellow, personally I think grey is really sophisticated and effortless, yet yellow is kind of happy, thus in a bathroom, which is def one of the rooms you visit first thing in the morning, it may affect your start in the day. Lily, I've said it before, but your taste is impeccable!

That's so true with yellow! In my previews house I've made sunny yellow tiles mixed with light blue. In the dark cold mornings it cheered me up immediately. And because the door had round window in it I've called my bathroom "the yellow submarine" 😁

Beautiful bathroom, love it! I was watching Three Birds Renovations here on youtube and their tip was to rub the dry grout into the tiles (so just the powder) to check the color. That way you get to see it on the wall with the tiles, but because it's dry and in powder form you're able to remove it.

The change in the layout is really smart. I totally understand why you would want to reno the bathroom even though it was alright to begin with, this is sooo much better and now it's all done! Why extend the process if you can manage to do it all at once?
Absolutely love the style and finish you went for! 💕 I’d love to do some renovation on my house but it’s a little nearly new build so no need to. In a few years when I buy a “family” home I will definitely be looking to renovate the kitchen and bathroom!
Love the new layout! So much better than what it was before. I also love the subway tile! Love the look of it and how you had it installed on an angle. Personally, not a fan of any of the rest of the tile, especially having those large grey tiles on the walls, but i'm sure it makes moisture in a bathroom less of an issue to have it all tiled. It all came out great!

Looks lovely. Our bathroom and spare bedroom are currently like some sort of building site and we have to stay in the house while it's done. I think you were so lucky you could move back in with parents while you got the bulk of the work done. I just can't wait to get our whole house done but it's a much slower process as we have to live in it at the same time.
