I feel like swing bins are more annoying as they often get something stuck when it gets half full because it needs to swing.
Could you rewatch your initial renovation ideas video and comment whether you actually ended up implementing these plans (or not) and why (why not).

You can use the following method to get rid of paint smell: put an onion cut in half in a bowl of water and leave it in the middle of the room
It is very effective.
Dont waste your precious candles

and that wont make the room smell of onions?
Apple cider vinegar works as well!
The onion tends to absorb the odour as opposed to releasing it - I've used this when polyurethaning floors and it really worked well

As well as doing all the normal house videos, I feel like you should do a video with your sister on how to organize kitchen cupboards. It's needed!

I absolutely love love that you call your box room the ‘little room’ !!!! That’s what my nan use to call it and it brings back so many memories (also sounds super cute!!) xx
We have a sofa (specifically designed to be used for dining table) at our dining table in the kitchen and it’s life changing. It looks so nice and it’s so comfy! It really has made the kitchen more of a hang-out place which is nice and social 😊 would 100% recommend
Oh and one more thing - as nice as a bench looks at the dining table, it isn’t very comfortable because you’ve got no back support. I do think it looks nice, but maybe not the best thing if you want the kitchen to be somewhere you spend a lot of time in being social. 😊

shammo5 It’s a norwegian brand called Ygg & Lyng. I don’t think they do international unfortunately. But I tried googling "dining sofa" and I found some, most of the ones I found were danish brands (Bolia, sofacompany), probably because of my location. Google and pinterest are probably going to be your best friend if you want to find one! 😊
shammo5 ooh actually, I found some on west elm and they called them banquettes, so maybe that helps :)
i really wanna see some kind of ''how to make your house a home with small decoration details'' or tipps on how to make a room interesting and different only with small details. And both of these ideas for every room individually, so maybe you can make a series out of it

This is a random comment but I think that you should replace your knife block with a wooden one because since you have the dark cabinets, you have the grey wall, and you have black appliances, you need the warmth of the wood to add more visual interest and break up all the black as it looks too 80s. You can buy empty knife blocks everywhere.

Your house is looking really nice, the kitchen is amazing.
If you really look at the Hello Fresh recipe cards you see that they are great at writing it so you can re-create it later on. I suggest you keep the ones you really like so you learn to make them and eventually you start to learn how to just pull a meal together more instinctually.

For example, who are the people you need to think of/get in touch with and how do you go about starting a renovation. This is something I’d love to do in the future but it’s rather daunting. For your paint smell, I was told when we were trying to sell our uni rental house to stick a load of part-baked cinnamon buns in the oven as they make the house smell like a bakery 👍🏻
