    Extremely valuable video. The Revoice workflow isn't intuitive and you can't "discover" how to use it just by throwing yourself at it and figuring it out. I'd be lost without videos like this. Thanks

    Also a Melodyne user from the early days. Just purchased a license for Revoice Pro 4.2 and learning all its functions. No one actually owns anything these days, just the right to use it. A very complex vocal solution so there is a moderately steep learning curve. This tutorial was very helpful, but at times a little too fast for a new user. I have Cubase 10.5 but the ARA2 function is relatable. Time will tell if the Pitch tuning and other functions sound transparent in a mix. At this point I am much better at getting better results in Melodyne but from all the tutorials I watched the results seem very transparent without artifacts. Of course most people who listen to a final mix have no clue pitch correction is even taking place although it drives me nuts listening to some of todays pop music with pitch correction being used "subtly."

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I hope you're able to speed up your workflow in Revoice Pro and find the results are better than what you were able to achieve before. If you have any questions about anything, please get in touch.

    Love vocalign , I own this and have never used it, it’s too convoluted, confusing & difficult to use, way too many steps to get things going. Feeling is the same with other clients and producers.

      When was the last time you tried it? There are major improvements to the workflow in the newer versions, and an entirely new Getting Started system built into the application that walks you through the most common use cases.

      I agree with Joey. If you need to get a Masters Degree just to tune and align a few vocals quickly, the whole point of the software is gone. Too many steps, right clicks and key commands. Steep learning curve. Dark and unfriendly interface. It seems the opposite to Vocalign, which is lightning fast to implement.

    Question. On the 2:23 you are talking about processing outputs. On my Studio One I don't have a drop down menu, I however see it automatic assign to the template I copy from this tutorial. Is there a away I can make that option appear? Also inside Revoice when you right click on the audio it doesn't show the option to create a warp region.

    • @synchro_arts
      @synchro_arts  Před 4 lety

      Hi there, the video is referring to creating output tracks in Revoice Pro to accommodate the processes that will take place. However, the latest version of Revoice Pro can create output tracks automatically and so there is no need to do this. I hope that explains things for you.

    Great Software, to bad it take me longer to set it up than it does to use my Studio One time stretcher feature to do it myself... to many clicks makes this useless (might as well quantize it yourself.)

    Just curious, why make a stereo double of the harmony? If you're panning the original harmony and the double, wouldn't you want a mono? Or do you delete the original and use the Dual Pan or Binaural stock S1 plugins on the stereo track to pan and give width?

    • @synchro_arts
      @synchro_arts  Před 4 lety

      Great question and the answer is no, you can decide when creating doubles in Revoice Pro whether you want them to be mono or stereo.

      @@synchro_arts Which part are you saying no to? The real question is... Why did he make a stereo double of the harmony, so he ended up with a mono and a stereo of the same harmony? Why not make another mono and pan them appropriately?

    • @synchro_arts
      @synchro_arts  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Ky, Revoice Pro is a different kind of solution to Melodyne and many of our customers own both. The advantage of Revoice Pro is that you can do many vocal production tasks in the same package, which many people like from a workflow perspective. I recommended checking out the 14-day trial and then you can decide for yourself.

    It's unbelievably fiddly, and not explained well by any of the Syncro Arts videos. The users can only find bits of their workflow answers after watching many videos and keeping notes. The reference guide covers everything and yet explains nothing. Oh yes, and something really important not mentioned anywhere: Its darn impossible to finally render the processed tracks into your DAW (Cubase in my case). It seems that processed material is permanently held hostage by ARA2 and ReVoice pro. Oh and do not even dare touch the source audio events after processing. All work is lost because ReVoice Pro (apparently) loses contact with them WITHOUT ANY warning. No one tells you that. Etc etc etc
    It's a great pity Syncro Arts let down an otherwise pretty effective software by not explaining it properly.
