I love the metal cast duplicolor line of paints. The blue and purple are my favorites. The copper is nice too.

Did you heat treat any of these parts, or does the vht paint work well without it

Filtered air recycler in the booth to cut down on that fog bank that rolled in during clear coat. That fog drys, clumps and gravity kicks in.

Question: the paint will handle a torque specs when installed, example; i planning to paint a cross member on my car and the torque specs a re 54 ft lb, you think that the paint will handle or it will crack/flake ??

Looks great but I always thought epoxy primer was a sealer, you should always etch primer over epoxy before base coat.
Epoxy is used more for sealing bare panels if not painting straight away.

One question why do you prefer to paint parts (Rattle can or Spray Gun) with them on work bench instead of hanging it or using some kind of stand?

Sometimes it’s easier, if I need to hand a part I will, but my two saw horses and big piece of wood have been treating me well

You aren't the only one who does this. 😉 I did the entire engine bay of my Saab with Metalcast (I used Green, did a mix of 5 coats), Super Gold and Hi-Temp primer, White and the exhaust manifold is just in clear, no paint....if you think Metalcast runs, use White Knight Super Gold/Super Chrome, you'll learn what run truly is!! 😱 Dupli-Color are awesome. I use their paint-match cans all the time. 👍 Go and check out that range, it works really well.

Sounds like that blue would be a cool effect lightly over a silver design.

Another CZcamsr that does not know how to hang the part first. Is it just too hard to hang the part from a wire? Do you even go back to paint the part that you missed?
