I love this list! I feel like this is the only list I've seen that I actually would try all the games mentioned. Plus I love you enthusiasm
I relate so much to the way you play Minecraft. I know a lot of people are all about crazy contraptions or buildings in creative mode, or having a server to faf around with friends, and I've done that a bit. But my real pleasure is to launch the game every six months, and start a "background" run where I play it when I don't feel like playing something else, and I just mine and expend my house, build a progressively bigger an bigger minecart system under the house and adopt animals and stop at some point, and do it all over again months later.
I love that game it's so cosy and relaxing.

I just recently bought a switch lite. Risk of Rain 2 and Neon Abyss has been two of my favourite games, and when I saw it was on the Switch, and I could play them handheld.. There was no question. Then when I further researched and saw Doom, Doom Eternal, the Bioshock collection, AND Dark Souls Remarstered was there in handheld form, I was sold.

You'll have to leave Animal Crossing behind when the next Switch re-model comes out unless they let you take your island with you. Or if you're cool with completely restarting the game with a whole new island and villagers and leaving the ones you've spent so much time with to remain in a permanent stagnant state.
The support team back when the game was initially coming out said they would allow players to at least switch consoles 1 time. They said they could do more, but you would have to ask them and see what they say.

It's a great ho,iday purchase if you find yourself down that road! Still blows my mind that you can play kn the big screen then decide you wanna chill on the couch in your living room and just take the console out and start playing right where you left off in handheld mode. And handhold mode makes some games look even better

Favorite games for me includes: Marvel Ultimate 3, Let's Go Pikach!, Civ VI, Collection of Mana, Smash Bros, Street Fighter Anniversary Collection, X-Com 2, Octopath Traveller, Star Wars Pinball, Regalia, Slay the Spire.
I feel the exact same way about Dragon Quest 11! I’ve never played a DQ game before this, but I’m 80 hours into this one and loving it. I’m normally not into turn-based combat so much, but in DQ it’s fun.
Even when I’m done, I won’t be able to sell it. It’s just been too enjoyable, and honestly just looking at the case brings me a little pang of happiness.
