I love the "E for Eddie" hole ... if you flip the guitar upside down (i.e. let a lefty play it) it becomes a "W for Wolfgang" hole.

The M/W inlays on the neck also look like Es when it's in playing position - super cool

I share a birthday with your dad and had the opportunity to talk to him when I called the studio to speak to Matty back in ‘92-‘93 when my band and his band were sharing a lockout rehearsal studio in NH on Weddington a couple of doors down from Brauer Rentals & cartage. It was only for about 20 seconds but after I identified myself, Ed was so nice! It’s a cool memory I’ll have with me for the rest of my life. Best of luck w/ EVH! I like this guitar..but the bolt-on neck makes it a no go for me. Unless it is 1000 or under,, no bolt-ons for me.
Glad to see they gave these guitars back panels to access the pots. One of my biggest gripes with 335 guitars. Would love to hear specs on these new pickups!

I had same question, I’m a left handed guitar player too. I really like the transparent color of the tobacco & purple.
I really hope so! So few EVH models/colors offered in left-handed. I have a Wolfgang USA, but would love one of these! Gibson has turned their backs on left-handers and hope EVH doesn't do the same.
@@leftygtrplr6184 Yes, I hope that EVH expands their lefty line. I've long wanted an EVH lefty version of the guitar Ed played on the "Human Beings" video. Black finish, maple fretboard with Chrome hardware. I think those would be popular. Also yes, the new SA-126 would be a great addition for playing live with also.
@@brivington2011 I am lucky enough to actually have that one! It cost almost $4k (before the crazy pricing the last few years) since it's an EVH Wolfgang USA. Spectacular guitar that virtually never goes out of tune! Sounds great too.
Humans Being (original version with the extended solos) is also a favorite of mine. Love the solos in it!!

I love his chordal rythme playing in that song. What a great band they were. I'd love to see a pic of that EVH guitar you have...
Ordered one months ago. Great custom Sa-126 pickups. Matte green finish is cool. Versatile and different instrument. Well done Wolfgang. A truly appropriate gift to your Dad and his many many fans. KEEPER !!!

Absolutely agree, I loved my 5150 Standard and I would have modified it to a hardtail but I sold it because I knew I was getting one of these!!! I'm excited and saving up as we speak. I hope I don't regret selling that guitar, I'm just not a FR , locking tuner, fine tuner player. I like a good hardtail.

Monstrous tone on high gain, this thing, and all-around versatile sounding. Slim necks are just not for me, but I already like it and the fact that like Abasi, this is something no one’s seen yet! All best to you all!

Im actually intrigued by that harmonica bridge design. Seems to accomodate low tuning intonations/ heavier gauge strings. Looks slick too
It's a Gibson design from back in the 1970's. Ed had one on the Shark guitar.

What a GREAT idea!!.....I saw Ted Nugent last year(who ironically uses EVH gear, and was a friend of Eddie), but anyways, the hollow body tone was SO insane live, it really got me thinking about this Void in the market for electric Semi-hollows....it's really hard to find anything, unless it's a small niche' company or something custom. Hopefully EVH is starting a trend now....
That's the reason I bought my only PRS guitar to date. A beautiful hollow body that was designed to be a utility guitar. Most people think jazz when I have it, but I use it as a swiss army guitar with the piezo on it to do some great stuff from super clean all the way to soaring leads. I thought about trying to find something in that semmi hollow range, but there was just not a ton out there that caught my attention. The PRS did even though I'm not historically a fan of their stuff. But this... This right here looks super promising

Love the guitars from EVH. In my opinion, this design is a perfect mix for people who like the old school from the 50's but with the power tone and sound from modern instruments. Bravo EVH!

What I admire most about WG's personality and career is that he embraces his father's musical legacy and honors it while carving out his own path and identity; very honorable.
I like it. In a world of superstrats inspired by Eddie's original to single cuts and teles galore, this is definitely different.
I can’t wait to try one of these out. I hope it is versatile enough for multiple genres. The gainiacs get all the cool new looking guitars. The rest of us are laying in the same old grave of “been done” and won’t ever change.

For the regular Wolfgang’s there is new colors every couple years so I’m sure they will make more at some point. Also have seen him play a red quilted maple one, but since it’s o new they have 4 and will prob expand later on
Interesting that the actual model WVH plays for the whole video isn't part of the 4 models announced (Mammoth inlays at 12th, E inlays, gold volume/tone knobs, etc) looks like a fancier version versus the regular "specials" EVH usually does

I don’t know this guy but he may be the nicest guy on the planet. Anytime I’ve seen him on late night interviews, or with his mom, he never has a bad thing to say and is always positive and smiling. I know Eddie could get a little testy but this is a legitimate good dude.

Guitar is dip gives me the vibe if a Gibson 335 , and evh Wolfgang guitar had a baby I love his sound it’s his own not trying to reinvent the wheel of Eddie and great job Wolfgang and the people at evh, to create this guitar hopefully one day I can play this guitar 🎸

I assume these are being made in Mexico but the Mexican EVH stuff is pretty damn nice. I'm yet to get/find one that has any issues so I'm really happy with their QC. I feel like these should've been $1,200 for the base and $1600 for the premium top but it's not too far from what I was expecting. Case looks pretty sweet, I can't wait to try one out and find one that I'll take home or I may hold out for a USA/Custom Shop run. Very cool guitar Wolfy, way to keep your dad's legacy alive and start your own.

I'm so looking forward to these guitars! Please, though, release the bass. I, and I hope others, really want/need an EVH bass. Out of my 10 guitars, three are EVH and I love them. I'm getting ready to purchase at least a couple more and an amp, so while I'm not rich, I am a dedicated EVH customer, and is my equipment of choice. I also already have an amp, the stealth 5150 lunchbox plus a 2X12 cab. So, like I said, I'm dedicated to the EVH brand and want more!

Reminds me of my Fender starcaster. Kind of like a cross between my fender starcaster and fender showmaster super strat. Recently picked up a Kramer pacer classic. It shreds.

Love my EVH Wolfgang. I have the standard koa top, aside from the floyd special the guitar is an absolute weapon but is also insanely comfortable. If the EVH Wolfgang standard came with and OFR or Gotoh ge1996t then it would literally be the best metal guitar on the market bar none. 🤘🤘🤘 thank you Wolfgang and obviously thank you Eddie for these inspiring instruments ❤❤💚💚
