What is ridiculously funny is that the author of Philipians 2 literally clarifies this concept of "emptying himself" in the second part of verse 7 very next verse, where it is mentioned clearly that he TOOK ON the form of a servant and humbled himself, that Yahweh will exalt him above every name and that every tongue should confess that Jesus is Lord. (Capitalized, indicating that it is the Lord as in God).
If he actually lost his divine attributes, how can he then choose to take on a human form? Why must then he humble himself even though he is already the same as the otber servants?
It is obvious that the "emptying" in verse 7 is meant to be interpreted in a non-literal manner.

This material comes from speaker's corner, London. I see all these guy on CZcams, the soco channel etc.
Don't blame the Muslims, blame us Christians who go there having no clue about Orthodoxy preaching insanity!
Preaching the most crazy things, like Christ lost the key to knowledge etc.
A big damage done in to Christianity by protestant preachers.
Of course the Muslims will laugh, of course they will make a ridicule of our faith if we don't know where to stop, and recognise our lack of knowledge

you say that but I don't see many (if any) Orthodox Christians that do go to speaker's corner.

@@tymon1928 That is true, I live in London but I don't go to the speaker's corner.
That is something very strange and odd for an Orthodox to do.
While even death is common for an Orthodox that kind of debate is not at all.
The biggest fear is the loss of grace, the fact that you might be on your own without the grace.
Anyway cannot quite explain it, Western and Eastern Christianity are so different, as an immigrant in London with an Eastern Christianity background I know both

The belief that Jesus “lost” something from his divinity is absurd on its face, especially when you read the rest of the NT. Demons recognized him as God, Jesus warned the devil at his temptation event and reminded him to whom he’s trying to do mind games, Jesus claimed to be the Lord of the Sabbath, to exist before Abraham, to sit at the right hand of the Power in glory, judging everyone, etc.
Jesus wasn’t less God. His humanity was completely human.

    • @bolshoefeodor6536
      @bolshoefeodor6536 Před rokem +1

His humanity was the fulfillment of the Law, in man. In other words, "fully human" means "man in the full Likeness of God". Humans as we were always intended to BECOME, if we did not fall.

David, would you please give me a link to a video that shows how, when, why Evangelical seminaries, like Dallas Theological Seminary, were taken over? And all the ones teach such heresies as the so-called rapture & the millennial rule?

@@deadalivemaniac ridiculous argument. Why debate if everyone has their explanations for their beliefs? The whole point is to challenge the explanations for the beliefs. Here’s a question for you, why believe in what’s written by any church father?
From Muslim perspective you rely on church fathers just as good as prophets who receive revelation directly from God.
