In this video, Kerry 2 Smooth answers your R&B Guitar questions! - Hudba
Kerry, you need to know: I found your channel 2 years ago and just couldnt hang. Ive been skilling up since then and recently came back to watch. I finally can follow what youre doing on screen, and what you play sounds so good, so magical. I love the way you teach and call us up to another level. Thank you.
Been working on this movement from the 7th (II) sliding to the 9th then Maj all week so perfect timing! Now I can start expanding it by adding the diminished and lower 9th (VI) as well so very cool! Even picked up that cool 9th (VI) pinky embellishment at 3:42 slowing down video so that was a nice extra bonus ha! lol Now back to woodshedding to get it all down. Thank Kerry!

Thanks for all your courses, i'm growing in neol soul music thanks to that courses
Heard you do this a few years ago and added it to my repertoire. Thanks for sharing!
Yes brother! Been looking for lessons like this, especially in the midst of this pandemic to accompany my singing and writing!!! Blessings to you and your family sir🙏 🎶 🎵 🪕
I love your channel. Everything you do is so helpful!
Thanks for your sharing of your nuggets Kerry!
Thank you for the tips 🙏🙏
Happy Birthday Blessings to you Kerry! 🎂 🥮 God grant you many more my brother 🙏 🙌
Your channel is awesome because for me your technique is shades of Cornell Dupree & Bobby Womack which is 2 of the best r&b session guitarist: also Ray Parker Jr. & Paul Jackson Jr.
Thank you for posting this - it is really useful. :D
Thanks K2S, that's an awesome move, it will be very useful ✔️
Love that concept! Very nice!
I wasn’t one to ever watch videos but I really enjoy ur videos and I have learned a lot from them. I’m a self taught guitar player and been plying for about 30 years….awesome videos

I need to learn the number system coz that was dope
Love the sauce bro
Bro your channel is exactly what I’ve been needing. These riffs are jems and thanks for sharing! I totally get it. You’ve got me passed this threshold I’ve been at just from watching a few vids. Can’t wait to see what else is in there later. I’m gonna work on that minor 11 for now instead of dim for the 7. It’s a shape I never saw. Peace
Great!
Gadamm🔥❤

Happy Birthday my man
I just watched your videos for the first time and I now know why you added smooth to your name😂😂🔥
Off The Hinges! 😄🙏❤ 🙌
Ooooooo. I like that
That (jazzmaster?), has great tone!
What’s the transition you do when your descending from that minor 9. Are you able to elaborate more on that on tomorrows live?
Nice nice nice
What gauge strings are you using on that jazzmaster?
Can you explain the other movements too?
I want to learn this so bad, but I'm struggling with just finger placement for the notes.
Hey brother I just had a question. When you slide up from the f# minor 7 to f# minor 9 is it still considered f# minor 9 even when the f# note is not there to articulate that specific triad?
What's up bro Is your website more for intermediate or can a beginner start there I'm not a total beginner really I've been playing for a few years and I'll focus more on Minor pentatonic am my chords are crap
In the words of Borat 'THAT'S NICE!'
Hey Kerry, my name is Thomas Knight and I have been following your page for about 3years now. An honestly I been playing guitar since I was 12 and I became a professional at the age of 17, around 1980 and we didn't use the number system back then. I understand the process of the numbers system. However, most of the musician now a days is big the numbers system, and my question is how did the numbers system come into play with everyone from keyboard to guitar and Horn's. Everyone, that is my question??? When did the numbers system come into play for us as guitar players.
A lot of black church musicians use the number system. That's where I first learned and heard about it. I played piano for years before learning the number system and once I learned it it was easy for me to learn to play in all keys. I'm new to guitar and I'm still trying to memorize the notes on the fretboard but I can play in any key once I find the 1 because I know the numbers.
@@christopherreed6809, thanks bruh, I'm getting alot better at working the numbers system in all keys. It truly keeps us on our toes as far as a theory point of view, I've been playing gospel and I get a chance to work with the numbers by doing that. So, yeah I'm getting a complete understanding of what I'm suppose to do.
Teach me the number system...need to get that down bro!!!!! you bad ass..
Hia!!! That was awesome - and have already been messing around with the ideas you shared. Loved it - please come and visit us if you are ever in the UK!! Would love to have you on MY channel!!! lol - It would be amazing!!
Hello Kerry, I have two questions. Do you own a 12 string acoustic? Also, how much is the monthly fee for Kerry's Kamp please?. I'm on a course right now,not music, I should finish it in a few days, then I might join your Lamp
What are some bands/artists to listen to /learn songs from if someone wants to play this kinda music ?
Yo.. new to CZcams . Give me a numbered progression and I’ll compose around it to gain and apply the sauce
Anyone ever tell u that u look like Winston Duke (Umbaku)?
Get a drum track and snoop and let's take it back to the 90's.
is it bad to play one song over and over again until memorized? or should I practise three songs a day switching between each song?
PetertheGreat nope not at all.
@@Kerry2smooth good I was worried if its was bad for the hands
Try to training slowly you go quickly i can't understand how you teach
Whomever put a thumbs down needs a few paper cuts...

What gauge strings are you using on that jazzmaster?
