Make sure all the cvt people switch over to amsoil CVT fluid, or at the very least do a few drain and fills after getting ktuner. Then keep up with the cvt fluid changes. Do them often, especially if you're out racing , beating on your car, or lots of digs. If you're over 30k miles do a CVT fluid drain and fill FIRST before installing the tune.

@@breezy_2522 that was an analogy since we have the 16 civic it has a cvt transmission instead of a regular transmission so the cvt trans fluid is made for the cvt while regular trans fluid is for auto or manual cars with 5 or more gears. Youre good with regular oil bro.

BUYER BEWARE! If you have a 10th gen with a manual transmission, plan on a stronger clutch after 10,000 miles of being tuned. Less if you have aggressive driving habits. If you have a shop install your aftermarket clutch, plan on at least $2,500.00. Also, between 45-50,000 miles after the tune, you may end up lifting the head and/or burning your head gasket. That repair will set you back between $3,700 to $4,200, depending on who does the work, and if you decide to go with ARP head studs to hopefully prevent another head gasket failure. With more speed requires better braking. Plan on at the very least, aftermarket rotors and pads. Finally, with more power requires better traction for acceleration and stopping/cornering. A good set of Michelin Pilot Sports can set you back another $$1,300-$1,400.00. You do the math and decide! I love my 10th gen Si, but had I known all of this, I NEVER WOULD HAVE TUNED MY CAR. @rpeterson189 I just bought it so mostly styling I already bought a front lip and black door handles (car is blue) I still need window visors. But is there anything cheap performance wise too?

One thing about all civics especially the turbos is they will catch up even if it take a little minute lol but tuning is better lol

Every package is labeled with a number. Once you get to the house you look at your device and it tells you the number box you need for that house. Thatâs why you need to load your truck in groups based on the number on the box so you know where to look in your truck for the box you need.

you can do it fairly easily just by popping off your dash and buying some dashlights on amazon or wherever. you can find videos all over for any type of car

Im about to tune my honda civic lx 2019 with a thorton chip tune. Ive had a whole new exhaust installed along with a high volume intake. This will def help correct? Just wanna make sure before i install the chip.

I wouldnt mind something like this for my CRV, but wouldnt even think about it with my CVT. CVTs are problematic when stock. Now if you have a traditional automatic or manual an extra 30HP would be sweet, though the stock turbo is known to fail due to overspin, so Id be a bit leery about pushing 24psi out of it on a regular basis. But with this you would be good to go on a stock clutch, dosent look like a bad deal at all!!

Search for some mods on CVT up to 250 HP and more.
You can change the tunes on the fly so none of that
CVT's aren't problematic. The problem is the owners that think a dayli car is a race car. All cars don't came in their maximum and Bluespark says, CVT's only in map C, to stay reliable and don't damage anything but its all about the driver to and the maintenance of the car.

A 2015 might have different tuning options, this is specific to 10th gen civics and every engine has different tunes.

Iâve got a 21â 2.0. Depends on what you want, for looks Iâd 100% go for a front lip, side skirts, and/or rear diffuser. Not crazy expensive but makes a huge difference. If you want performance, Ktuner is the way to go. Really wakes the car up. Lmk whatchu decide to do bro bro
Hey I have a question, I have a brand new 2021 honda civic hatchback sport and I got it last week. in the gas cap it says âUnleaded fuel only, Premium recommendedâ. Is unleaded and regular the same? Because I didnât realize this and I put regular on it

I put 91, even u can put 93 octane. Its better for acceleration and drives better imo.

@@nashgamalinda5383 I would just wait untill its about 1/4 or 1/8 left. Mixing the two isnt going to damage the car. But youll feel the diffrence.
Get it low to like 1/4th. Swap. You're gonna wanna roll premium for this tune.
Or an Si if you wanted a great, fuel efficient daily that can grip to corners and is pretty decently fast for a FWD and not pay the money for a Type-R which is NOT a good daily. And the 10th Gen Si can be modded very easily and quickly with just 5k

Eventually, you will. The torque is crazy down low and the stock clutches in these cars are a joke. I had to do mine after being tuned for 11,000 miles. $2,500.00.

the real question is how much hp can you comfortably push without lowering too much in reliability

Why cvt can't handle the power?
@@wasaiteam cvt stands for continuously variable transmission so theres no gears, if you just step on it, youre going to have high rpms that dont drop back down until you let off the gas, so from what i know (take with a grain of salt) if you decide to put some power in it and try to constantly do digs then the stress is heavy on the cvt, people also dont do the trans oil changes as often as needed though đ
@@yDaltAlc mine have 7 gears that I can use on the mod "S" but even on the normal mode when I step the gas I can ear and feel the change of gear and the rpm drops when shifting the gear. That's why I was confuse and done the question.

Why not leave it stock so that it retains its value 10-15 years down the road if you decide to sell it? That's the biggest thing I hate about looking at used Hondas is some turd has put an aftermarket exhaust system on it, chopped the suspension, carbon fiber hood, and done a bunch of other stuff to it that looks tacky and doesn't add any value to the car.
