Great tip for the remote control fix. Never thought of using graphite to renew the conductivity of the contact buttons. Thanks!
You can also apply double sided adhesive tape on a piece of aluminium foil, cut circular pieces off using a simple hole punch and finally apply on the button's bottom side. Will typically last a few months on regular to low temperatures (autumn through spring)...

He is showing how to crimp without a crimper. If you don't have a crimper, you'll have a huge probability of not knowing TIA/EIA-568 standards. and you will copy previous color order ;)
Same. Actually I have had to use similar method like 10 years ago haha I didn't hammer it tho.
@@sarmentinho as long as they color code both sides the same way It will work but is a nightmare to diagnose an issue if something's messed up.
@@vinade2100 Yes, I understood the issue. I myself used a punh down due to not have a crimper at hand. What I was pointing is not to point a detail (cable color order) in a negative way since this is proposed to be a improvised solution ;)
Ugh, came to say the same thing, after building cables for nearly 25 year I just kept yelling at my phone that he was doing it wrong. While you can do it the way he did and probably not have any issues with a short cable like that, it'll be a problem pumping a gigE connection through that cable if their is any noise around. The normal color maps are done to reduce noise and crosstalk issues, which hes negated by using the wrong pattern.

Any pencil lead but soft Bs would have most graphite

Cavolo, lo sapevo che dovevo inquadrare la matita :-) è il culo della matita che ho usato, ma ho carteggiato leggermente perchè troppo tondeggiante. Dovevo riprendere, ma non ho avuto il tempo, stavo facendo il video tutto di fretta perchè dovevo partire per lavoro

Okay, so I just finished watching this like 10 minutes ago and was in the middle of watching another one of your videos, I had to go back here to make this comment because I couldn't keep up with how fast you were putting things together while on this video, from 7:10 onwards, you showed us the casings on that portable screwdriver and hobby knife set, taking them out slowly and then assembling them just to hit the 10 minute mark. No hate though. I just find it funny that you were taking things slowly here while on your other videos, like the one that I just previously mentioned (16 minutes long), I couldn't keep up because it's like on 4x speed. Hahaha!
