- Great Wolf Lodge Poconos is one of the largest resorts in the chain. You have a woodsy themed hotel with all sorts of family-friendly amenities, including a massive indoor water park. This place includes a robust water slide lineup that includes the Hydro Plunge water coaster and a recent 2023 expansion! This video discusses the water park and compares it to the nearby Aquatopia (Camelback) and Kalahari.

Easily the best reviews on youtube. The quality is great and your upload schedule is insane! keep up the good work man
Agreed
Thanks!
This I absolutely agree with
I'm at GWL Poconos with my wife and kids now. Just got in last night. Check in took an hour because it's so busy. Other than that we're having fun. Last time we were here was right before the Covid shut down. Good to know the water park has been expanded since then. I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for the info!
I went here before.
5 star quality material man, absolutely flabbergasted after the experience.
I enjoyed my visit a lot.
Indoor ones always fascinatinated me more than outdoor ones for some reason. Also made more memories at them. I went to the one in Mason Ohio from 2012-2020 and 2022.
Still need to get to that one. I was disappointed to hear they removed the water coaster though.
@@CanobieCoaster I saw online. Since the first time I visited a lot of stuff has changed there.
@@CanobieCoasterI went there a couple days ago to see the changes. Fun experience overall. It was either 2011 or 2012 when I first went
Omg I’m going to that one in 2weeks I’m so excited
Enjoy!
The water 💦 slides 🛝 are awesome 😎. I should go there more often.
It's a great park.
@@CanobieCoaster Yes 👏 👍 🙌 besides there’s another important part of this place. They are the Great Wolf characters and you should see them because they’re calling ☎️ 📞 and shouting 😱🙀 out your names. Wiley, Oliver, and Brinley.
We just got back from this GWL today. Some of the interior in the lobby and stuff looks different. It's worth noting they have different events daily for kids in the lobby that include dance parties and story time with a large monitor behind a stage (right in front of the elevator that you see in the video). Our kids are 2 and 4 years old and had a blast.
That's awesome.
As someone who worked attractions at the Mason GWL for a few years (Magiquest/Arcade lead), it took me until this video to realize the water coaster was gone. It was fun the few times I got to ride it...
I wish I could have made it there before it was removed.
Mason also had theirs removed according to google.
i go here every year and its so fun
Have you been back for the new expansion?
Looks like a decent water park, the indoor ones are definitely the best as it’s not freezing when you get out of the water.
True!
Nice timing ... my wife was asking me about a trip here.
Hope you can visit!
Aquatopia opened in April 2015, I remember visiting it before 2017.
Thanks, I updated that mistake.
I was wondering how are chair availability thinking of going on a Friday?
The Best ❤
It's a nice park.
@@CanobieCoaster Totally
I was wondering because I know a month or two ago the whole Lobby was in construction so i was wondering if you know if the Animatronic band was kept and only moved or if it has been removed like the other animatronic stages in other locations
I was not paying attention, sorry.
Recorded horizontally:)
?
I get ads for this particular location all the time and I really want to check it out. This location is a 135-minute drive from Chesco (Where I reside)
It was a fun park.
8:45 most water parks I have been to due this, but it’s never busy when I go so there is always a mound of tubes.
Usually I see stacks of tubes in a pile.
You should go to the new gwl in maryland. it has a 126k sqft water park and amazing slides.
Maybe one day!
It’s between the Maryland one and Pocono for me. Interesting
The Maryland location is under an hour from me, hoping to go someday, but Poconos here we come this year!
I used to work and the great Wolf Lodge in Mason Ohio. I didn’t know they got rid of the water coaster that’s sad.
I was sad to see it was gone.
The pasta slaps tbh
Good to know.
I haven't gone since the new expansion happened, but just booked 3 nights yesterday and when I got to checkout there was a small print * saying $15 a day parking will be charged at check in.
Have fun! I wasn't charged parking last year as a day guest.
@@CanobieCoasterneither were we, but sure enough they are charging for parking this year on our second trip.
Did you do the alpine coaster at Camelback?
Years ago.
@@CanobieCoaster What were your thoughts on it? I think it's probably the best one that has a computer monitoring it for not having a speed limit and only force-engaging breaks to prevent collisions. Of course nothing compares to Wisp Resort's in Deep Creek, but that one isn't monitored by a computer at all from what I could tell.
i did not know the belt one was only in niagara falls, most of my school went to great wolf lodge for 3 days and me and my friends went on that slide over and over for hours
Nice!
Did you know that a new great wolf lodge is opening at Foxwoods in Connecticut for 2025? It will cost $300,000,000, and feature a 91000sqft waterpark.
Also, I am curious if this your favorite great wolf lodge period.
They've been trying to develop that area for years with some sort of park. I hope it finally happens!
There are actually four indoor waterparks in the Poconos. The fourth one is H2Oooohh! at Split Rock Resort. That one is probably the weakest of the four though as its attraction lineup isn't that big.
Ah, I hadn't heard of that one.
It opened in the fall of 2008
Would teenagers 17 & 15 boys enjoy this place or is it more for younger?
Teenagers would absolutely like it. They have solid wild slides.
I think poconos and Perri ville are the best due to fact their the biggest and their different things
I need to visit the MD one.
Hi I’m New On Your
Channel
Welcome!
im in thailand now
Nice!
As a 2x a yr visitor just be prepared to take a second mortgage out on your house as rooms are over 400 bucks a night and everything inside this place is just over priced. With these new renovations I can just imagine the price hike they had to implement
I visited with a day pass on an offpeak day.
I'm sorry, $150 for an indoor waterpark? How are people actually paying that much?! I know themeparks and waterparks are expensive in America compared to Europe, but a park like this would cost €40-ish max on the busiest day.
It's 150 i belive with a hotel room
They do dynamic pricing. They do the super high prices on holiday weeks to avoid insane crowds.
@@CanobieCoaster is $150 for just a water park ticket? Or is that with a hotel room
It includes the hotel room as well
I feel like you cold have played around a bit with the title of the video and maybe call it Greatest Wolf Lodge?
Good idea!
😅😅
Enjoy!
I went with my grandkids. Not the same resort I visited with my children. Multiple disappointments. Took 40 minutes to check in because they could not find my reservation, even with my confirmation number. The food is really bad and overpriced. They cannot accommodate anyone with food issues-- diabetic, gluten free. They charged $127.20 for towels that were left in the room. It is IMPOSSIBLE to speak with anyone. Every phone number they give is answered somewhere else, not at the resort. The corporate phone is answered by a bot and no humans are available. I left my number for a return call 3 times, no return call. Overall, a bad experience.
I went to great wolf lodge last Christmas and it was a great experience I liked all the water slides and there was a arcade so my family went to the arcade and I got 10 pounds of candy there (I did not get obese btw) and every night in the lobby there would be a dance party and when we got to the candy shop (That was the fist area I got to when we got there) we got a bracelet with our name on it and a cup so we can fill up so candy (Again I didn’t get obese) my rating would be a 10/10 and my family is going there again so I might have a greater experience and we are going to have bunk beds this time (Also I haven’t been on a bunk bed my entire life so it might be fun)
Glad you loved it!
They removed the candy company at mine
