I brought this 1964 Buick Electra home and Sam HATES it! It's rusty and crusty but it's a classic that deserves to be back on the road. After 25 years of sitting, the engine is in rough shape. This might be a good candidate for an engine swap but what do we put under the hood? We need your help to pick a power plant! Loved your wife's response, blunt and to the point...made me laugh. Maybe she just want's you to concentrate on her 55 pickup. I'm not a 60's Buick fan either but it's still a good find and well worth saving... so good luck with it. Cheers

Sam’s 55 is still going to be the priority but I’ve been waiting for parts so I should be back on that soon. Hopefully I can get this engine free and send it down the road running and driving.

Nailhead is a good motor $$$$$. Ls is the way to go if you’re going to do it yourself….

Bro. Nice that it’s complete but why a Buick?!?! But, if you must….Rebuild the motor and trans. Like machine it and stuff. Leave it complete and original. I’ll Prime you a tarp for a trunk pool party🌊

I’d like to keep the 401 nailhead. If I can get it to break free there just might be some hope for it.
