Not announcing targets on displacer kitten triggers is kinda wild then choosing 3 different things upon the resolution is awfully privileged…
“A triggered ability that requires its controller to choose targets (other than 'target opponent'), modes, or other choices made when the ability is put onto the stack: The controller must announce those choices before they next pass priority.”
This is extremely important for choke points in combo lines and mtg in general.
That being said, it was a good game and still fun to watch.
Probably wasn't a trigger point for those in the game because it is a very casual cedh game not in a tournament setting.
I was just coming here to comment that displacer kitten targets on trigger. Knowing the target dictates when players will chooses to interact, and what with. If it didn't choose what to flicker until resolution it would be (as we've just seen) totally busted
