If fuses are good I would check wires at the driver door jamb behind rubber sleeve as well. And then do a soft / hard ford sync reset and possibly update the ford sync by downloading newest software on the usb
Bro just saved me! I had almost given up and was going to replace the deck and then I saw your video. Worked perfectly. Thanks man you got another subscriber!
Hello kind sir. I appreciate you so much for posting this video. I hit a bump a couple days ago and my radio stopped working. It’s powered but it doesn’t come on. Only the display works and it’s on the main screen. Nothing else. Any suggestions? 😅
Try pulling out the radio unit and inspect all the wiring and connections behind it. If all good then try tapping on the radio while it is out and see if the sound comes back. Also you can try removing the SYNC fuse for few minutes and reinsert. That will reset the complete system. Hope this helps
@@QuiteAlrightwas your radio just having no sound at all for anything? Mine would come on and off and sound staticky and then it just quit. No noise for FM/CD or Bluetooth?
@@tracemiller1519 If you are having this problems first I would suggest disconnecting the battery for 15 min then reconnect and see if that will reset it. If not then do soft and hard Ford SYNC reset. Here is my video on how to do it: czcams.com/video/CzgOi17MV1w/video.html If still not good vehicle will have to be scanned with higher end obd2 scanner as radio has its own module and follow up on the codes. Hope this helps
If fuse would be bad whole radio wouldn't work. So most likely there is some kind of internal problem within the radio / dashboard. Possibly wiring or the button contact switch. You would have to take it apart to see whats happening and then try testing each non working component separately
That's probably what the issue is. And I've also read online that when some of the buttons don't work, the battery may be the culprit to the problem. Thank you very much! 😊
Try to remove Ford SYNC fuse for few minutes then reinsert it. It will be fuse #9 in the passenger compartment fuse box. This should reset the SYNC and hopefully fix it. If it doesn't help it you will have to take it to Ford dealer as they can access that module and scan for codes and go from there
Hmmm hard to say. If all the fuses are good try disconnecting negative battery terminal for 15 min and then connect it back on. That should reset it. If that doesn't work it will have to be scanned by the higher end scanner for any possible codes as radio has its own module on this vehicles
@@QuiteAlright thanks I will try all the above. I'm having a hard time removing the fuse because the box that covers it has been lost so I'm guessing there the mini fuse?

@@mr3pointshooter1 I don't believe it is connected. First try adjusting the dimmer switch and see if that fixes it or even playing with the vehicle settings in the menu. Thanks sound is not coming out of my speakers. I'll be checking the fuse. Well done.

If the fuses are good, what is the next step?
Probably pull out the radio unit and check all the connections in the back and wiring
Hoping this is what’s wrong with mine, had to go in that fuse box before it was a bitch to get to! But thanks for saving me looking thru the book😂
No problem and good luck

How do I take the fuse out!!!
There is a fuse puller on the back side of the fuse box cover. If it is missing you can use small nose pliers or anything similar
So mines just saying "audio off" with no option to turn audio on
