  • The passenger motor mount (PMM) is a almost a necessary upgrade for your MazdaSpeed 3 due to being so torquey. These tend to blow up at a certain mileage, which can also make a mess in your engine bay. You need to get this mount for your MazdaSpeed 3, trust me you won't regret it!

    I really enjoyed this vid. Thanks for sharing. One question: Have you upgraded the other mounts or just the PMM? Do you recommend doing any specific one before the others?

      The RMM was done on this as well, I prefer to do that first unless the PMM needs to be done

    I have rmm and pmm on my mazda 3 and it definitely helps me shift better. But now that I am getting older, and since I don't drive as much anymore. I am going back stock on the pmm in the future.

    I got the 3 jbr mounts for almost 4 years and no regrets that's really good ones

    I changed my rear mount to an 85 because that's what I could get for an upgrade and wow does my sedan shift better. Passenger side went to OEM new for now, not sure what the transmission one is like yet

    I replaced my rear mount when I did a new clutch/lightweight flywheel. It made a world of difference. I haven't replaced the other 2 though. My only concern with your method is that I heard it can crush the oil pan gasket and cause an oil leak. I thought about using an engine hoist to hold the motor in place but fuck this looks so simple I might have to try it.

      I've done this across atleast four of these cars with no problem!

      @regisnator My 3 1.6 is slowly needing a new clutch plate. What is your review on your lightweight flywheel and what brand is it? Might consider getting the same if the reviews are good :P

      @@DevilGaming-jp5qj South Bend stage 3 daily kit w/ flywheel. One of the best purchases I have made for this car. Just make sure to break it in proper. Plenty of reviews out there on it. ACT has a nice stage 3 combo kit with self ratcheting that is very popular too. If you dont like chatter avoid lightweight flywheels, though.

    Would you replace the other mounts to get a complete change in response? I bet brand new motors mounts all in do something special. Kinda like bringing the infinity stones together

      You'll get a change in response just by doing them one at a time, officially if you do all three it will be planted the best

    How long do they last? Just recently got a 2007 mazdaspeed same color. Previous owner put in a new one in about 6 years go probably 50k miles.
    Will be following this continent for sure!

      I'd look for bushing cracks, anything that doesn't look like it's in one piece anymore. Also, if you find a lot of play in the bushings that can also be a telltale sign

    Have a 2008 automatic, shifts hard between third and fourth at high RPM. could be motor mounts possibly be the issue? The engine has so much torque!

      More than likely a transmission issue. Most mount issues will be between gears 1-3

    I have jbr passenger and jbr transmission and cs rmm with a balance shaft delete and the vibration is honestly a lot lol I don’t mind it tho

    What was the point of reusing the ground ?? When it was connected to the old passenger mount ? I'm confused about that why isn't it being put on the new one

      Grounding is grounding, where it's re-installed is the same as how it was prior

    I hope you see this bro. I have a really bad sound when i accelerate in my 2006 Mazda 3 i 2.0 , it shakes my steering wheel like crazy and i replaced my front struts and coils can you help. if you have a email i can send a video to.
