I was tempted to upgrade a 14 Pro Max to the 15 Pro Max but maybe not now as they’re still pretty close performance wise with some small camera improvements. The weight reduction on the 15 Pro Max and more rounded edges sound great and will feel better in hand no doubt! The fact that the just released iPhone 15/15+ have A16 Bionic now shows how good the 14PM will be for years to come. Great content as always 👌🏻
Man I ordered mine few days ago, coming from 12 pro, and I rethink to cancel my order for the 15 pro max...it's just not worth the upgrade...talking about your case, absolutely no need to upgrade.

Upgraded from a 13 Pro. Been very pleased with it so far, including it doesn't feel that heavy in my hand either. Although I will miss sierra blue as the blue titanium, although nice, doesn't capture the same feeling I had with the previous.
How are you getting along with a the dynamic island? I use a 13PM, and after seeing the 14P and 15, I still prefer the small notch. I only see it as a stopgap measure until a 100% full screen iPhone is achieved. The small notch also doesn’t get in the way of 18:9 CZcams videos which are slowly becoming more common.
@@madonnasplasticsurgeryI’m using a 15 pro max, coming from a 13 pro. I actually enjoy the dynamic island. The little conveniences it has outweighs it slightly cutting into 18:9 video. I also thought that would bother me since the 13 series “little notch” was very out of the way but yeah the amount the island cuts into those videos is heavily outweighed by the features you gain.

Whiles yes, I do prefer the small notch as its further away from the screen's center, the dynamic island is new to me. Since I did get tired of seeing the notch all the time, so the dynamic island is something fresh to liven up my experience. Including the animations it brings along with it.
The 15 pm looks nice, but I love my 14 pm with it's shiny sides. I have the deep purple. I just got the rebel flex case to show off the purple polished sides.

replace her 12 PM). I stalled 17.1 B1 on it last night and the battery life is much improved. I’ve had no overheating issues with either iOS 17.0.2 or 17.1

Arron, been watching you for years. My friend and i were testing his 15 vs my 12 pro max and noticed that the mute switch is now a button? Just happy i spotted something to share! Going from my 12Pro Max to the 15Pro Max, i want the zoom camera and macro feature. Several other updates since my 12 Pro Max which has been a very good phone. It does seem to have intermittent mic level when i speak on an app with a VU meter. Thanks for teaching us so much. You are making this 73 year old man keep learning, Thanks Again!
Not only is the mute switch now a button, it’s also programmable so you can choose whatever action you want it to perform. You can have it turn on the flashlight, open the camera, enter a focus mode, run a Siri shortcut, or pretty much whatever else you want. It’s a lot more than just a way to mute the phone now
I have 13pro and was pretty sure i would update since I do so every year but I really liked my 13pro i really didn’t notice that much of a difference going to 14. I think I have decided to stay with my 14 (i like my silver and worry about that chipping your 15pm seems to be doing on edges as I tend not to use a case). I do have to say I loved the pics (zoom) on the 15pm. Thanks Aaron.

been using 14 pm 1TB since it came out. my last phone before this was the 11PM.
DEFINITELY the best phone apple has made. unlike others, it has the dynamic island and I love it so far. 15 is also great but looking on drop tests and etc. some of it is even worse than the 14. mine had serious drops and it even got stuck between my cars trunk and had no damage at all.
I don't see a reason to upgrade. I was really looking forward to upgrade it since this (14 pro max) was BEYOND what I was expecting.
I really would prefer 14 pm over any other smartphone. Looking forward for 16 cuz apple really did a great job making this phone, never really used a model like this before.
please be honest, do you really see those features as "features"? At least they should make it much durable since they always do between their models, i don't get it.
yeah the camera and 5x zoom is really good and all but it's not worth it cuz 14 PM's camera is more than I need. I would only upgrade if there was like a MASSIVE difference between them so i really hope they make a big jump with the 16

both are great both something i hated about my 14 Pro max was the battery life. It was noticeably worse than my 13 pro max. with the 15 pro max I think it is slightly better, but i havent really tested it yet

Hi Aaron great video the sponsors you mention do they only work in America? I’m still getting my iPhone 15 pro max because of weight smaller bezels and i think my 14 pro max seems to be acting up since iOS 17. The camera freezes when first opened battery seems to lessen quicker and blue tooth isn’t as sharp connecting.. so it was either an upgrade or samsung fold and I’m still not sure on the folds without dust protection and not good cameras.

I upgraded to the 15 pro max from the 13 pro max, skipped the 14 pro max because I wanted to wait until the dynamic island had gone through 1 lifecycle if that makes any sense. Pre ordered it on the 15th and picked it up on launch day at the Apple Store. 👍🏻

I just got the 14 pro max from an authorised seller that was still selling them , paid €850 , the 15 pro max is €1489 . Didn’t see enough difference to go for the 15 for that price difference

I do wonder about the durability of the usbc connector. I’ve never had a issue with the iPhone connector but I’ve had various devices that use usbc break over the years. The connection gets loose from countless connecting and disconnecting.

Sticking with 14 Pro. Moving to three year upgrade cycle.
I keep flip-flopping on whether or not to upgrade my 12 pro to a 15 pro max. Would love the bigger screen and better battery but my 12 pro still does the job just fine. Most likely will wait one more year.
The main issue is the heat on the battery while charging, it heats up very fast, and you start to get that notification “charging is pause due to overheat”

I was gonna stay with my 14p but decided I really want a pro max for longer battery life. I half to keep my 14p on low power mode at work so I don’t loose all my charge. Ordered 15pm last week.
I have made my 11 Pro Max last for years now. To be honest, it has worked just fine and until recently, I haven't noticed some WIFI connectivity issues. I'm hoping the jump from the 11 to the 15 Pro Max will be very noticeable. I'll know when it arrives. The Black color was almost a (4) week wait in my area.
You will notice a *big difference, I just got my 15 Pro Max yesterday and upgraded from the 13 Pro Max and I notice a decent upgrade in terms of speed and operation. The battery doesn’t seem to be as good as my 13 Pro Max, but I have been putting it through its paces the first day or so, and apps have been downloading in the background from iCloud. So that may be what is causing the faster drain on battery. But that brings me to the next point, an Apple MagSafe battery is a perfect accessory for your new iPhone and I’m currently using mine right now.
The 11 Pro Max was my favorite! Great battery life, big screen, stainless steel. So good.

What’s your genuine opinion about the quality of the back glass and the drop test results. Reduce in the back glass repair cost is just a mimic I feel.

Just an update have received my iPhone 15 pro max have been using it two days and I would have to say it’s worth the upgrade have not experienced any heating issues. I have used it wireless charging in my 4x4 and at home it would be the same amount of heat as my iPhone 13 Pro Max. Can not get over how light it feels compared to the 13 pro max. Camera is an awesome usb-c is good but forgot how many lightning cables I have 😂 and yes I did try plug in the 15 pro max to the lightning cable. Very happy in general my iPhone 15 pro max was made in china as it says in the usb-c port.
I’ll stick with the 13 pro I have, neither are worth the upgrade for me, since the “upgrades” aren’t things I need or use (I don’t game on my phone, and the camera is nice, but with the 14 pro camera issue, my 13 pro is totally fine. I only use airdrop to transfer files atm, so the USB-c transfer speeds aren’t something I’d take advantage of)

I have a 12 and I am seriously considering getting the 14 Pro or the 15 Pro. My only concern is obviously the heat production and the build. The 14 Pro does most of the same stuff, but I've been going back and forth I can't decide. The 15 has USBC and the cameras bin to 24 so thats the main positive for me. The 14 Pro is more durable and that's pretty much it. Money isn't an object. I'm gonna swap the battery on whichever new one before I get another one, so I'm trying to get the one that's as futureproof as possible.
Just do the 15. Return it if you aren't satisfied. Simple.

I think the portrait 5x is a beautiful camera. Also the USBC is amazing at all the possibilities. Functionality is a +2 for me for 15pm vs the 13pm i upgraded from, but 13pm defn feels sturdier and I miss that. For me it overheats a little when facetiming.
which one overheats? because of the durability issues on the ip15pm i'm thinking if i should just pick the ip14pm
@@rinnegan04 the 15 does supposedly the update fixes it. It seems to be 10-20% improvement after update

I have a friend that went from a 13 to a 15 pro in Blue Titanium. It seem odd numbers have been good (11, 13, and 15) have been great whilst the evens ( 12 and 14) not so much.

As an iPhone 14 Pro Max user the one thing that will make me upgrade is the Apple LOG since i use my phone for my content.
At the beginning of the video, you mentioned the prices of the two are about the same. That's not at all the case on this side of the atlantic, where the 14PM can be bought for roughly 500 dollars less then the 15PM. And for that huge price difference, the 15PM just looks like a bad deal to me.
I wanted to upgrade to the 14 Pro I’m coming from 12 but they discontinued the 14 Pro and just focusing more on the 15 series now 😢
I wanted to upgrade to a 15, but not with those issues. I have my 13 pro max (1tb) for 2 years now. I wonder if I should just replace the battery and keep on using this for the next year or two. Battery life still seems great though after 24 months.....
For what it's worth, I think you have the most solid version of the current iPhone design language. The 13 Pro Max with a fresh battery is extremely difficult to beat!

I did order the 15 promax, but after looking and doing a bit of research, I cancelled, decided to stay with my 14 pro Max just isn’t anything I would call an upgrade, gone are the days of upgrading my phone every year. To be honest you could probably go three or four years now without really noticing anything new. I think we have come as far as we can with mobile phones now there doesn’t seem to be much innovation, a very slight camera upgrade and USB , I’ve only missed two new iPhones since the beginning, iPhone 12 pro-and the 15 pro 🇬🇧👍

I did the same… i have 12PM had a 15PM nat titanium waiting to be picked up since launch day at local Apple store. Just couldn’t justify the purchase. I let it expire. Not enough upgrade and too many potential issues IMO.
If you just look at this review of the 14 pro max and the 15 pro max, there’s nothing in it at all 👍 he seems like the only upgrade is the number 15 😀

Thank you so very much for your content I really appreciate it n so far my battery has been really good on my iPhone 15 Pro n with the overheating it’s not been too bad right now as long as I don’t be on a phone call very long at all n I haven’t been on FaceTime yet n I know when I had my other phone it would get really hot so I’m worried about it getting worse on this phone too

I remember when you use to make videos on the 11 pro max back when it came out and was getting 10-12 hours of SOT. Now you’re only getting 4-5 hours of SOT with an even more expensive phone. Crazy how things got worse over time.

From what i gather the 15PM throttles a lot more than the 14PM, to the point after 15 mins of stress testing its GPU performance drops below my Dimensity 9200+
I just got a new 14 pro max and its working awesome.
Sticking to my 14PM. Not enough changes that make say damn I need to upgrade. Maybe once the add a 4th camera or some amazing upgrade to battery performance. For now I’m good ☺️
Battery comparison could be better so u can test both batteries on the 100% capacity of both, that would be better for the comparison 🙌🖤 hope it helps as a tip
