    I normally do it after trimming and then I heat the edges but I’ve also done it before trimming also. I put my blow dryer on hot and it also helps lock the edges down.

      Oh, you are talking about heat sealing the edges to help lock them into place. We do that as well! 😁👍🏻

      I use a hairdryer to get the water out and then I go back over it and heat seal it with a heat gun but on the hairdryer, I put it on hot with fan on high

    Hello
    I just came across your channel and I am very happy about it
    I have a question: Do you use water and foam or special materials for installation?
    I will be very happy if you tell me completely what materials you use for installation

      Welcome to the channel! Here is a video I made that goes over all of the solutions I use during my installations. czcams.com/video/xGjn2rwh-W4/video.html

      Thank you, it was very informative
      Another question: How to use these substances?
      What I noticed is that water and foam solution is used first, and after leveling the ppf, water and alcohol solution is used to create adhesion, did I understand correctly?@@EncorePPFtint

    • @EncorePPFtint
      @EncorePPFtint  Před 4 měsíci +1

      @soutdavood2537 Yes, that is pretty accurate. The slip solution is used to help allow the film to slid around more. In a lot of flatter areas, you won't need any of the tack solution. If you get an area that won't stay down or you stretch to an area and want to make sure it won't move once you sqeegee it out, you use tack solution. 👍🏻

    Have you tried a hair dryer to blow the residual water away? I use one on ever part and it works amazing!

    • @EncorePPFtint
      @EncorePPFtint  Před 5 měsíci

      Interesting idea. I have not tried that. I normally just use the air compressor. I'll have to give that a shot.
      When exactly do you use it? Before trimming the PPF or after?

      @marcclayburn6565 Před 5 měsíci +1

      I actually have one coming in this morning. I have done a few of them so far but I do the mirrors a little different. I am going to try the way you did them, it looks a little easer as well as less likely to get imperfections.
      Thanks for the video 😁

      Awesome, let me know if this makes it easier or harder. I'm interested to know. 👍🏻

    What film line did you use on this? Do you use different films depending on the amount of stretch needed?

    • @EncorePPFtint
      @EncorePPFtint  Před 5 měsíci

      I try to only use one material. Different materials need more or less soap in the slip solution. Once you do this for a while, you really learn how to work with a material. Switching products really throws off your installations and the time it takes. 👍🏻

      This PPF is PremiumShield, NextGen. We are sampling a couple of other products that we might switch to. PremiumShield is a great product, but the company that bought them (Eastman) isn't giving much focus to the brand. They are really pushing dealers to switch over to SunTek or Llumar.

      @@EncorePPFtint I remember you mentioned using Nexgen on other installs. I'm not very happy with it compared to their Elite SH because the adhesive is SO aggressive, even with a "rich" slip solution. Which leads to frequent stretch lines. Any experience with that? I see you tack down edges/corners and pull on the film and I'm sweating over here. Is it inevitable on some installs?

    • @EncorePPFtint
      @EncorePPFtint  Před 5 měsíci

      We use the NexGen on all of our installs. I'm used to a pretty aggressive adhisive. Coming from 3M (early 2000s), VentureShield (many years), and SolarGard (over 10 years), it's very close to what I'm used to. I will add more to this reply soon.
      What soap are you using and how much?

    • @EncorePPFtint
      @EncorePPFtint  Před 5 měsíci

      Also, what parts of the vehicle are you having the most problems with? As far as the pretacking (aggressive adhisive) goes?
