as a former professional chauffeur, THE GREATEST DAY EVER: driving Black Sabbath (Geezer to the show. Tony to the airport) they were amicable and kind, I had dinner backstage 5☆ restaurant prime rib. and watched the show from 20 feet away on the side of the stage.. GREATEST DAY EVER \m/,
Sick

Wot and you are a female..........That is great to hear i daresay because of indoctrination they would be polite and kind Looks like we've killed of the female driver concept then!

Yes sir!! Good song!
There will never be another band like sabbath
im afraid of in 30-40 years rock will not exist :( kids this days arr broken
30-40 years? It barely exists now.
as a matter of fact, that statement applies to any band in the world
(just to mess with you XD)
you are right.
BULMA CAN BITCH
Never Say Die is one of the happiest sounding songs!
Bill Ward the fucking drum god!
Amen👊
I am one of those who loved this entire album. I hear this song, and it makes me wish the feeling I get,and this music would last forever..And After Forever... Love Sabbath...
+mhadman It's their second to worst from the original lineup. Not saying it's bad either. For their standards I'd say it mediocre at best. The title track is the best song.
DcsOrCity Music is subjective. You decide what you think is best by your own personal criteria.
I understand the dynamics of the group , what they were all going through , but I take each album on it's own .
I don't bother to compare or contrast. To me, that's a waste of time. Whichever album I decide to listen to is dependent on my particular mood.
I honestly don't look at any album as better or worse. I look to what my mood calls me to put on.
Not saying you're wrong, just saying everyone has a different listening experience, and if you're being honest with yourself, how can that be wrong..
I am a huge fan of Judas Priest also.. From their first album to Screaming For Vengeance in 82. They changed direction and it didn't really appeal to me, but I don't think the rest is terrible, its just not for me. Everyone has their own taste. If a band doesn't expand and change, they can become stale..
I don't begrudge the change. It natural. You don't see many bands these days that have 8 albums or so that are track for track, fantastic. Part of that could be the human brain's " hardwiring" after an age, as some studies suggest.
I am veering away from original post a bit.. Some late night rambling..
Well said. I saw Priest on the Screaming for Vengeance Tour (awesome) and just saw Sabbath in Tacoma a week ago. There will not be another Sabbath.
DcsOrCity I saw the Screaming tour in upstate NY. Iron Maiden opened for them. Great show.
I didn't get to see Sabbath till the Born Again tour. The Deep Purple encores were a kick ass treat. Another great show. Never saw Sabbath with Ozzy, but saw Ozzy solo with his first two tours, and years later in the early 90's I believe. I saw Dio solo, and he did some Sabbath durring the show which was pretty damn cool.
I have been lucky to have seen most of my favorites. Sounds like you have too..Hard to pick a favorite..
mhadman except .. swinging the chain
I was 13 years old at this time! And I was a true SaBBatH soldier then! And still am! Don't you EVER ! ever ask WHY!
I was born in 79. I wish I was this age in 78. Oh well I seen him live two times. 03 and 06. I'm happy with that.
Tony said you got to love the old chap you can't say God is f****** dead Ozzy for the album 13 years after this when they probably thought they would never record together again
Why the fuck would we ask why
We’re here for the same reason you are
Never say die
Cheesy 45 It’s really sad that you’re literally listening to the song right now and you didn’t get the joke.
Bill Ward. Such a boss
Looks like a viking though
He just CRUSHES the skins from the opening of the show to the last drum beat. Love it. I had this concert on VHS. Time to re-order on DVD.
@@Redwood65 what year iZ this? Do you know? 🤔☕🥁🌃
@@brianjezuit4085 The video description reads: June 19, 1978 I used to have this concert video on VHS. Bought it sometime in 1986/87 I believe.
@@theoagos0318 Bill Ward, dreads hair look like Korn vocalist.
Bill Ward is my favorite drummer ever.. he is so entertaining to watch.
Sounds just like the album. Amazing. Ozzy's vocals are unbelievable.
God I love Bill Ward... amazing
The most underrated album in the Sabbath inventory. Great album opener! 🤘🤘
one of my favourite black sabbath songs.
Fitting what Ozzy said right at the end of the song because they were on they're last days at that time together. Long live Black Sabbath.
At 5years old i'd watch this on vhs with a tennis racket guitar... my mum let me swear to sing sabbath bloody sabbath...thanks mum! I've been playing guitar 37 years since! You can't kill rock'n'roll!
No matter what anyone says... NEVER SAY DIE!!!
Great vocals by Ozzy on this!!!
I remember when this album was released. My best buddy Iggy bought it first and the day he got it, 16 of us piled into his basement with about 44 joints of shit weed, LOL. I remember hearing this song for the first time. Most of us jumped up in shock and pretty much immediately started air guitaring and head banging. It was the coolest riff I've heard.
I don't think kids do that kind of stuff anymore. Shit, I'd give anything to go back to those wacked out "daze" of yore.
thank f...k for the internet I would never been able to enjoy all this good stuff. BLACK SABBATH lives on
When I was starting my senior year in high school (2004), I bought the DVD this was on and I would put this on to get me fired up for my afternoon classes during my lunch breaks at home (same with The Last Supper, Ozzy at Budokan, and the Sabbath Story Vol.1 dvds). Lot of the time I would air guitar to these songs (I'm pathetic, I know), and I would sometimes watch this track 2 or 3 times, sometimes just for Geezers bass playing.
I love the way Geezer just hammers down on the bass in this version, and the little jam they do near the end. This is my favorite version of the song.
There will never be a band to replace Sabbath! I was born in 1979 and grew up on this and I passed it on to my kids and my brother did too and Sabbath will Never die in my family!!!
Whether you hate this song or love it (I love it), you can’t deny Tony looked like he loved playing it live
70's music is the best.
Ozzy's on his best!
Sabbath Lives On!
Sadly the end of ozzy in Sabbath att that time,so underrated album 🤘
My first concert. I was 14. My friend Vince and I got dropped off by Vince's Dad an NYC Precinct 1 police officer, who passed on this year. For me it was true bliss to listen to Ozzy. Although he was clearly wasted on stage. Making a few mistakes. Luckily the bands had a night off the day before, which probably helped the show's power. Overall the band sounded great with an awesome set of their best. Van Halen was an incredible opener, and stage act for the huge crowd of MSG. David Lee Roth's acrobatics and antics were amazing. The crowd roared with energy at times that was unbelievable, and I became immediately addicted. Sabbath was solid, like the father of metal up there, but Van Halen, had a stage power that drew out more energy. Vince and I were both blown away. Simple, heavy, brilliant. Many critics over the years shrugged at BS and said how can this band do this well. It's guttural bliss. There's no other way to say it.
My friends and i were seniors in high school when this came out. They were in a band, i was a hanger-on. They wanted like crazy to play this song, but no one could sing it.
This awesome song proves how Black Sabbath were about to make a very successful transition from the 1970s into the 1980s and like wow, just imagine the songs from Ozzys solo albums and their Heaven And Hell album transformed into even better Black Sabbath songs.
One of my favorite songs!
Greatest metal band that started it all ! You don't grow out of it you grow into it!
Best band ever!!! People does not understand how much this band hadgive to music
Still cannot believe this was forty years ago, just saying.
Let this be a lesson kids, never take your youth for granted. You can be high as fuck when you are young and still sing 10 times better than when you're in your 60's
ten years and another ten years.. and another ten years :')
Oh dang, this kinda breaks my heart!! Not long after this he got the boot. Well, at least they got back together in the end🤘🏽
Black Sabbath the best !!!
3:32 the best riffs or black sabbath of 1978...great Rock in Roll
I was just about 3 months old for this performance. Thanks for ringing me in!
Very tight performance. Prime stuff indeed.
The REAL music starts here! I LOVE IT!
The Song is not as famous as the others but I love it
i still can't believe black sabbath will retired :'(
Always in the mood for black sabbath. Its my "go to" band when i dont know what i wanna hear. THE BAND that started it all in the real rock and metal world. Thank you black sabbath (original line up) for giving us the music that we live by.
F.Y.I. 2nd band is Pink Floyd the wall is a masterpiece
They definitely didn’t start rock music, the blues started rock music.
A breath of fresh air from the Disco and New Wave bollocks of the late 70's.
I was watching this DVD last night. I am 61, and the Never Say Die tour hit Corpus Christi TX in November 1978, with a new band opening called Van Halen. My chick loved Van Halen and I had been into Black Sabbath since 1971. Every time I watch this video I feel 21 again. THANKS BLACK SABBATH!!!!
We love you Ozzy
Just pure old school rock n roll 👌
Absolutely lifts me up. God bless Black Sabbath.
