Never Say Die on the Top of the Pops in 1978
One of the most underrated Songs/Albums of Sab or better: one of the most nderrated Albums of the 1970ies...
Most people hate the album never say die but I always dug it.. A couple of clunkers on it but still
Brilliant band
...it will sell good on Mars in Year 2914...
Excellent album - listen to it all the time since released - still have original vinyl
This album is under rated IMO
This and Technical Ecstasy
I agree! I feel like I'm the only one.
This was the first record I bought when I got my turntable set up back in like 2010.Got it for like 5.00 at a local used record store.
Its my favorite with Sabotage, i dont like paranoid or black sabbatb that much as the mainstream does
Yes this and Sabotage my faves
This has got to be one of the most upbeat sabbath songs.
It's a good one. Energy charged
The closest to "Poppy" Sabbath ever got, and it's still a fucking banger.
Another great song from Black Sabbath - love it - the whole album
Yep, this and Turn up the Night maybe?
It's upbeat but sad at the same time. Makes me think of people I've lost throughout the years.
I'm 57 now and never heard much black sabbath when I was younger. I'm making up what I missed!
Hey, Kyle. Never too late to pick up the Sabbath. On reflection, it probably amazes you the amount of their influence you hear in many other bands you grew up with.
Curious what did you listen to?
It's because they didn't want you too!!
It was devil's music haha
Don’t miss Volume 4! Heavy as hell.
This song had so much punk vibes . Great song!
You know!
So funny to see people dancing to Black Sabbath
I do it too XD im not a real metalhead. Music is music XD
This is old metal, more akin to rock, and more apt to be danced.
This song ain't metal tho. I ain't dancing to black Sabbath (the song)
Go search Deep Purple's Fireball video for more similar fun
@@Arvaniz true. Actually, the memebers of Black Sabbath say that this is not metal at all, it' hard rock
Definitely being played at my funeral.
Why not Fluff?
why not electric funeral? :D
allthatgirlcoronado XManX102 The lyrics just work better in this one for funerals or at least my funeral if I have one. This won't be the only Black Sabbath song to be played :D
Smokey McGanja
well each song creates another atmosphere so ok
ah ok :D |m|
Back in the 1981 I woke up in a hospital bed my head all bandaged up and they told me I was lucky to be alive. Then the guy in the bed next to mine let me listen to his Walkman, with this song as the first. Oh the memories. Ever since that this has been one of my favorite tunes.
What happened to you?
@@bluesalamander5527 I'd gotten hit by a car (I was riding my bicycle to work). It took some years to recover from that after surgery.
@@OldieBugger that sucks man. People couldn’t even drive back in 81 before people could text and drive
@@bluesalamander5527 Well, his insurance company paid me handsomely for years till I got better. Now all I have left as a memento of that incident are a couple of holes in my skull. I was very lucky.
@@OldieBugger it’s still unfortunate that happened though
One of their best albums.
Fight me!!
true
100%
Forgot how much this song rocks just pure raw metal
Tony is a beast on guitar. Ozzy looks awesome in this!
Ozzy sounds stellar Tony of course rules and yes back up off the edge of the cliff and put away the prozac! Wish this song got more love!!
Every albums are great, but even so one could not find my
heart like this !!! Thank you Black Sabbath for creating this pearl
!!!
Never say die, sabbath bloody sabbath and vol.4 my favourites
This is really one of the best songs they ever had...
I absolutely love this song 👌👌👌
Thanks for THIS!!! Me and my Chick, Cindy, saw a new group, Van Halen, open for Sabbath in November of 1978, as I was graciously blessed to see Black Sabbath's, "Never Say Die" tour! Cindy is a distant memory, but Black Sabbath always meant LOVE to me and always will!!!
Got to see the same tour when it came to Long Island
Is Cindy available?
The time puts things in their place... forgotten, criticized, banished but a great work at last... Many of us are his fans
I wonder if they knew they knew they were watching a legend Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath man a great time to be alive
Not to be curt, but this was a song from Sabbath’s eighth album, they probably knew who they were seeing. I’m definitely sure they weren’t expecting the Dio era in a couple years though
Yes we already new
Sabbath where already selling concerts way back then your a little late to the dance
Yes we new that. Thay had been around for 10 years. And where selling out big arenas and stadeums

Bill Ward is a genius! Best drummer ever! And Never Say Die! it's also the best album ever made!
MVDOTTLINGER uh ok :|
Hell yeh. No drummer leaves his mark on a bands tunes like Bill Ward. Best drummer ever Bill Ward.
Not the “best album” but one of 8😉
I do like the live sound and lively playing on this record. Love Shock Wave
Trully, and better than John Bonham...in the same era....
The more I listen to this album, the more I love it!
I LOVE THIS ALBUM!🖤
It's pretty awesome!!!
I don't know why Ozzy hates Never say Die its one of my favorites.
It's the softest sounding of their albums
Johnny Blade is the shit.
Looks like Ozzy left the band while starting the album came back later on despite the band had another singer , the band droped the other singer and they ended up rewriting the lyrics
I feel like he’s confused and really taking about Technical Ecstasy. But he’s got the wrong album
He said it is garbage
Legendary Black Sabbath! 🤟🔥⭐
✌🏼 I’m EFN ANCIENT NOW AND THIS SONG GETS ME MOVING ,GROOVING AND HAPPY AGAIN !
This song is the epitome of my early 20's. It makes me want to get back on a motorbike and ride! *
The album has grown on Me over the years. This song, Air Dance, Johnny Blade, good stuff.
Tony -the riff master.🎸
Critics and the band hated this album. I loved it. Some of the heaviest music ever. Swinging the chain is epic. First time seeing this video.
I recall being genuinely blown out of my damn chair by this one when I first heard it as a kid. Not my first Sabbath run, but it was so bright and uptempo but still so fucking heavy. The rest of the album holds its own weight fine, but the title track just ran away with the trophy at the starting gun.
Always loved this song!
i want this song to have 100 billion views
Soy argentino y está es mi banda favorita
Like punk never happened...brilliant.
Anthony Monaghan that would be so wonderful 🤧
black sabbath wouldn't exist because the stooges wouldn't exist
Ozzie is a legend and the greatest composer I've ever known your my idol ozzy I love you brother
im 4 years late but all black sabbath songs were composed mostly by Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler with help from Bill Ward, Ozzy mostly just came up with vocal lines. He didn't write the lyrics either
@@7MacYou he wrote melodies
@@7MacYou he wrote the lyrics to a few songs but yeah the vast majority was Geezer.
Great clear loud sound for this video.
Heres the original awesome Black Sabbath, ready to musically take on the 1980s, expanding, changing, as this dazzling song proves and yet suddenly never to be.
A~ B~ D
all day long.
I LOVE IT!
Ward's snappin assault get me every time !!
I remember it well. Back they came with avengence. Blowing away disco and punk. Good old metal. Black Sabbath on TOTP's amazing to see. Happy days.
Amazing song and album!!!!
2/13/20 - Happy 50th Sabbath 🤘🏼!!🤘🏼
A lot of people don't understand what this song is about, but here's how it goes:
The 70's were creeping up on the 80's, and things were beginning to change. Some of the older people who were old fashioned started saying that rock was going to die out, but bands like Black Sabbath kept it alive!
Actually, it's Gnosticism
Might choose this for my funeral...... 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Best time for music, best band in the fucking world \m/
Excellent
Sabbath Rules!!!!!!!!!!!!
Back Sabbath!!saudades!!❤️🔥☠️🤘🤘🤘🤘☠️🎸
Black sabath Rock maneiro do bom 🇧🇷🎸🎤🥁🤘🔩👏👏👏👏👏

Proof that you can dance to the Sabbath.
black sabbath is the best
My favorite!

My fav Sabbath album!
I love how they can dance to this. This is the ballsiest song they ever did. The album takes a lot of abuse, but I love this song.
Awesome jam...
the amount of talent.... wow
I love air dance from this Album the sabbs all ways had a sweet nak of turning poetry in to very fine metal .
I like this song!
Wow!!!
Nothing screams TOTP like Black Sabbath.
sensacional- black sabbath..

Kick-Ass Rock and Roll - Hard and Loud! - Never Say Die!
Eu adoro este álbum.
Crushing. Insanely heavy .
Exallant track
This has to be one of the top 10 Sabbath tracks
People going nowhere, taken for a ride
Looking for the answers that they know inside
Searching for a reason, looking for a rhyme
Snow White's mirror said "partners in crime!"
Don't they ever have to worry?
Don't you ever wonder why?
It's a part of me that tells you
Oh, don't you ever, don't ever say die
Never, never, never say die again
Sunday's satisfaction, Monday's home and dry
Truth is on the doorstep, welcome in the lie
All dressed up in sorrow, got no place to go
Hold back, `till it's ready, taking it slow
Don't they ever have to worry?
Don't you ever wonder why?
It's a part of me that tells you
Oh, don't you ever, don't ever say die
Never, never, never say die again
Don't you ever say die
Don't you ever say die
Never say die
Panic, silver lining, writing's on the wall
Children get together, you can save us all
Future's on the corner, throwing us a die
Slow down, turn around, everything's fine
There's no need to have a reason
There's no need to wonder why
It's a part of me that tells you
Oh, don't you ever, don't ever say die
Never, never, never say die again
Utube are you a good person by living waters
I always thought he said snow white medicine.
Very relevant, indeed.
Fun fact, Sonic unleashed has a track titled Rooftop Run and it uses the same chord progression for the main riff in never say die.
aaahhhhh even in the 70's they made bands play to a backing track
You bet they did. But lots of the time they actually had the singer sing, and the band play but not plugged in.
Lovelust
Dallas Texas 1978 van Halen opened up the show and their buddies schools acted like van Halen ruled ."no fucking way"... never say die tour was a bad ass and so was the album thank you very much
bill with the braids!
SALUDOS DESDE BARRANCA PERU
Os Pais do Metal para todo sempre. Sabbath❤
badass
love it..... awesome video :-)
I don't know how this song got past my ears. I just heard it in the end credits of Brütal Legend and am now obsessing about it.
I´m huge Black Sabbath, this is one of the best Black Sabbath album for me..
beautifal.
🔥🔥🔥
Depuis 50 ans que j'écoute du Rock, Il n'y a pas beaucoup d'albums qui m'ont scotché dès la première écoute, celui là en fait partie.
Yeah!! 😎🤘🏼🖤🔥
Great album
This music até in my top 5
NEVER NEVER SAY DIE!!!
Bill Ward again proves he's one the greats carried by a timeless classic band.2023,55 year old genxer, still gets me off.
It's a shame Bill never got the recognition that many of the big rock drummers received. He was an absolute monster behind the kit.
meudeus q som bom
Pls, play this song in my funeral!!
Very good for live show sound and not a another crappy remastering ha ha long live sabbath and 69s rock 70s then DiO Gillian and who else? Can't remember what happened back then
It's easy to dance to and its got a good beat.
Lo presentaron en California Jam? Buen álbum puro Power👏👏👏✌️🇨🇱😷
