How does general anaesthesia doesn’t stop the heart beating if it suppresses autonomic functions ?
Sir ur explaination are very easy to understand i request you to provide the deep lecture for nootropics.

Sir as i am a begginer in mbbs i have a doubt.
Both general and local anasthesia give signal to cns then why in general anasthesia we sleep and in local anasthesia only particular part will get numb?
Local anaesthesia block nerve impulses going to the brain. They do not affect the brain at therapeutic concentrations. While general anesthesia impacts the CNS directly, either by enhancing inhibitory neurotransmission or by blocking excitatory neurotransmission.
Can we use sedative drug as general anestheics ??if used in higher dose
No... Because they cause respiratory depression. Phenobarbitone sodium is an example.
👌👌👌❤️❤️

You need to read many books and find out which one suits you.
Every book is good, if it is read properly. All the best

Sir,why general anaesthesia increase respiratory secretion
There are multiple reasons for that. They irritate mucosa which in turn increases secretions, they suppress sympathetic system and parasympathetic takes over leading to increased secretions, they relax intercostal and bronchial muscles thus reducing the secretion clearance from the lungs.
I hope this answers.
Best
The enhanced secretions is less observed with ketamine as it stimulates sympathetic system to some extent.
Thanks sir for giving me satisfied answer ,sir please upload how NMDA receptor works and and how it's antagonist work
Surely. Please wait for some time.
Thank you. Keep watching, keep sharing.
