This band is who saved me. I was depressed and on the verge of suicide. I had been fired from my band and wanted to quit music because I felt I couldn't do it anymore since my ex bandmates claimed I couldn't do it. Then I listened to Silverchair. After finding out how old they were when they recorded Frogstomp I realised I could still do it. I started playing guitar and singing again. This is one of the songs that tells me I can still do it. Thanks guys. Love and miss you guys from New Zealand.

My brother and I thoroughly enjoyed their evolution. We grew up right along with them. We both consider Diorama to be Silverchair's masterpiece, as well as one the greatest albums ever. People who don't appreciate their progression don't appreciate what a truly gifted musician really is.

dave grohl was recording foo fighters tracks before kurt died. kurt even helped out on some of em. ok, so silverchair have tried different things fair play, and foo fighters have kept to the same stuff. Well. foo fighters are one of the top bands and hardly anyones even heard of silverchair these days. sorry, but i prefer early silver chair stuff cos it was awesome, this is just shite.
Ill admit Young Modern is a boring as fuck album but maybe hardly anyone's heard of silverchair these days because they broke up 5 years ago. Foo fighters now have been pushing out the same power chord stadium rock that sounds like they're standing back to back with their eyes closed wearing headbands during a solo. Kind of cringey in a dad band sort of way.
I really like this song. I was a bag fan of Silverchair and Daniel in their heyday as well. I'm glad the kid is doing something that makes him happy. I always felt happiness was something he didn't come by easily. He's grown now and should be able to do whatever he and the band wants. More power to them and I wish them well. FWIW, I think he has a voice well suited to this type of music.
