My name is Jess! I had a daughter (Lilia) at age 18 w/ my high school sweetheart. We mutually split up & co-parent to this day. I met someone new, got married, had twin boys (Kyson & Kaden) and another son (Landen). He cheated, we split ways, & he’s not around much. After juggling life as a single mom of 4 for some time, I met Chris, he had 2 sons: Caden and Tommy, who eventually became my step sons. After Chris and I got married, we had our 7th child together, Addelyn. also, i dont even KNOW how many years i've been hollering about how incredible lilia would be in theatre - to see it finally happen is a dream because SHE IS SO BEYOND TALENTED ITS INSANE!! SO so excited for her future if she continues to do this because boy HOWDY that kid is a star.
Honestly, Lillia’s stamina blows me away. The ability to sing in such an upbeat energetic way while also dancing, very impressive!
Lilia killed it!! She is such a natural on stage. I hope she does more shows in the future. Maybe she could try out for shows at a community theater if there’s one in your area! I loved doing summer productions at my local theater while in high school. I was Miss Rooney, the teacher in a play based on the Polk Street School books by Patricia Riley Giff
I work at a theater and we’ve done elf twice and buddy is NOT an easy role. So proud of Lilia! She killed it!
House cracks are normal, they are from it settling. The ground is always shifting, however by watering your foundation (the cement slab under house) you can prevent huge problems. Also the toilet noise is normal right after flushing but if it constantly makes that noise it's an issue inside the tank. Blessings to y'all 💕
Sometimes I watch your videos and I cry happy tears because honestly you are giving your children such a good life. Even with having split parents, you make it work. I couldn't imagine my parents getting along or having a step dad that is loving. It's such a beautiful thing to see.
Lillia is a NATURAL actress. For her first time in a musical, she did AMAZING. I can’t wait to see where she goes from here!!

All the cracks are from the house settling. As the weight in the house changes, people, furniture, etc. the house will continue to settle. I think weather plays a part in that as well. Lilia did an awesome job!
Thanks for showing us so much of the play. I got so into it that I almost forgot I was watching a vlog. lol Lilia did so amazing. She has always had awesome stage presence. Whenever she is dancing she is always going full out & is the best one up there. I've thought that & said that since she started dancing. I knew she would do awesome in Elf. Congrats Lilia! Cracks in new homes are common. They occur because the ground moves and also because the house settles on the foundation.

Second this! (From an Architect) The toilet may need a new pump thing because the gauge isn’t aligning with the water level. Not an issue expensive item if this is the issue 😊
I agree! And the new construction behind your house could cause some extra vibrations that make the cracking worse.
Jessica, regarding your house issues, my husbands literal job is fixing issues on new builds. He works 70+ hours a week and we live in a small town so that should tell you something. The problem is that these builders don’t care about quality just quantity. They’ll cut corners to get these homes built faster so they can get their money after your closing. They’ll also hire their own inspectors and refer you to them but in the back end the inspector doesn’t really look at the house properly. It is absolutely NOT normal to have cracks this soon after it’s built. That’s a foundation issue and needs to be addressed before it gets worse. The builder should be required to fix it but a lot of times it doesn’t work out that way.

Yes, cracks are not normal on a new build like yours.
As a former theater kid Lila did fantastic! I didn't have the confidence in my preforming at that age! She should do it for as long as she can and wants to it's a great way to make friends!
She has hope to be on Broadway.

I played Emily Hobbs (the mum) in elf jr about 3 weeks ago and it was really fun!! Im so glad that I got to see Lillia in her school version of elf!!!! xx
I would love to see you talk with each of the kids about what they want to do in the future. What hobbies they want to try, schooling goals, job aspirations. I would love to hear what they envision for their lives!
Lillia looked AMAZING on stage! I have been doing musical theater since I was 6 and I don’t enjoy anything more then it. I hope she sticks with it! ❤ ⭐️

I LOVE having gifts under the tree so I wrap as I get them. My memory of when I was little that they put gifts under the tree whenever, except the gifts from “Santa” that showed up for Christmas morning.

The Dollar Store has the BEST wrapping paper for the price that I’ve seen ! I get wrapping paper for each kid similar to you & I went a few days & I got ELF , Grinch , Paw Patrol , LOL Surprise , & Disney cartoons all for $1.25!!

Go ahead and wrap early. Make a list of all your gifts and put a number next to it put the corresponding number on the present as you wrap it. That way you'll know what it is by just quick glance and you won't have to pull your wrapping paper apart looking

Jess about the cracks it’s no big deal there just surface cracks from settling and vibration from construction close by. Easy to fix but can look ugly especially on plaster on inside walls.

Good job Lillia!! Ok so my mom always wrapped our gifts right away and put them under the tree. I tried doing that but my kids got to much anxiety about them being there, my one son did who is on the spectrum so it became a magical Christmas morning with a bunch of gifts under the tree. Hey Jess! The wall cracks would most likely be from the foundation and structure..... Meaning that when the house was built.... Most likely they hadn't used a thick enough concrete block beneath the house. Let's just think about weather, corrosion and the land movement.... This will impact the concrete foundation, making it shift, sink and slightly rise. Unfortunately our building foundations nowadays aren't the best although I'd definitely mention it or make a query!
I personally live in a house that has major construction issues due to the weather conditions... Although this house is over 50 years old.

Jess something that could help with the problem of wrapping things then not knowing what they are is this app called Santa’s Bag. It lets you list all the presents and who they’re for. You can add things like prices, stores, the status of the gift (if you still need to get it, if it’s ordered, to wrap, wrapped, etc) and you can also take pictures of them so you know what gift goes to which person (if you were to get matching shirts for the boys but slightly different for example) and you can also take a picture of it after it’s wrapped so you know exactly what present is which. I’ve been using it ever since last Christmas and it’s extremely helpful.
Here’s a great hack!
Wrap all the presents, then on the bottom write with pen or sharpie a tiny number and make a list on your phone of the numbers and what each present is next to it. 👍🏻 time saver and life saver

Jess, wrap the gifts and put a sticky note on each wrapped gift of what it is. And obviously you’ll know who it is for by the gift tag. That way you won’t be scrambling to wrap all the gifts right before Christmas. ☺️ And Lilia did an incredible job! 💗 I could totally see her doing Broadway shows when she is older.

For Christmas when I was a kid presents were wrapped and placed under the tree from the moment it was put up. If you peeked and found out what you were getting it went back to the store.
I do a similar thing with my kids, but I don't wrap the moment I bring stuff home. But I did finish wrapping all my gifts and putting them under the tree tonight! And yesterday's I mailed off all the gifts for people far away!(mostly grandparents!)
Every tear I take my 2 kids and they get to buy a gift for each other and anyone else they want to buy for. And Christmas eve I always let the kids open the gifts they got for each other so they can enjoy watching their sibling open and enjoy the gift they picked for them. It's too crazy Christmas morning for them to get that opportunity.
Also in our family Santa comes and leaves unwrapped gifts that has a tag with your name on it. With billions of kids in the world Santa's elves would waste sooooooo much time and paper wrapping! It's better for the environment if they just don't wrap.

It's because the base of the house isn't settled for a year. In good building practice, the base should stand for a year before a house is put on it. Ground moves slightly and that's why the cracks. It's quite common for fast builds

For the Christmas presents just put a tiny number on the back of the gift in a corner and then write down on a paper what gift is wrapped with that corresponding number. I usually keep that paper well hidden in my underwear drawer under everything 😂
