They are not only play power metal but also thrash metal, classic metal, hardrock, ballad.

  • @dregeye
    @dregeye Před 3 lety +17

Most all their songs include individual solos as well as harmony solo(s).
They are 'dual guitars' not 'dueling guitars'. This song's lyrics make clear along with the name of their recent concert release "Five of a Kind" that they are oriented as an 'ensemble' rather than having any 'star' of the group, and they emphasize their unity by all 'caps' LOVEBITES while writing members names in all lower-case.
Their lyrics are consistently uplifting, though not ignoring the failures and struggles of life, sometimes to an extreme extent. Thank you for promoting LOVEBITES !

Check out their Zepp DiverCity Tokyo concert from 2020 and you will see and hear world class musicians that never miss a beat and are awesome. Great reaction guys, these were the 1st all female metal band to play at Wacken in 2018 and they have improved so much from that appearance. The guitar battles are epic but when they harmonize together it is pure magic especially at the speed level they go at. Complication chords and yet they never mess up are always in tune and sound great together.

Yeah guys you just sow the winners of the 2018 year in category for best new metal band. Lovebites are power metal band influenced by 80s metal. Asami the vocalist is a great singer and songwriter, if you want to see how she performed have to check some songs from their last concert Five of kind in Zepp Diversity Tokyo from this year. Songs like Thunder vengeance, Signs of deliverance, Swan song, Dancing with the devil, Holly war. At the moment Lovebites are the best all female power metal band in the world. Their last album Electric pentagram is nominated for one of the best 20 metal albums for 2020 year. The other members are Miho the bassist, Haruna the drummer, Midori the lead guitarist and Miyako(with the black hair)the other lead guitarist and pianist. You should check them live and then you gonna find out what is about. Stay metal.

Domination LIVE 14 February 2020 is easily their best performance (anything from their 14 Feb 2020 Live is unbelievably good, tho). RINNE is their heaviest track so far, while Blooming is their most experimental & creative that showcase their prowess in songwriting and instrument mastery.

LOVEBITES is a great band, what I love the most is their live performances, they sound powerful and always on fire. I think they can fill the taste for people who are more into classic Heavy Metal, Power Metal or Speed Metal. They also approach to Thrash, so they not always sound like the song that you've reacted.
Personally I like LOVEBITES but don't love them. Maybe their style is not my cup of tea, so I can't get too much hooked. But for people who are into them, I really understand why, they're awesome in what they do.

They are the one band that I can honestly say you would be hard pressed to find a bad track. I do not think they are capable of producing one. This is what makes recommending one track over another difficult, but Ill give it a shot. Here are a few to get the ball rolling: Puzzle (live), Moratorium (live), Play (live), Dice, Alone, Real Existence, Secret My Lips, Domination and Renne (reincarnation) I better stop there or else I will name every track they have. • @yang-it-yin7002
      @yang-it-yin7002 Před 3 lety +1

@@DavidKAnderson @David Anderson True! I agree it is a matter of ones own taste. I do enjoy all those other bands as well. They are all impressive in their own right, particulary Doll$boxx and to a lesser degree Lovebites. There is no denying all of these bands musicanship they are all on equal footing. I believe Band-Maid has shown to be more versatile in their songwriting drawing from multiple genres of music from Hard Rock, Metal, Funk, Punk and Pop. Which I believe what elevates their songwriting were it creates a distinct signature of their own. When you hear any track by them you know it is them.
With Lovebites Im impressed with there shredding guitar work and the excellent drums and bass, but I feel their songwriting is good but nothing that stands out as unique signature. They remind me of second tier metal band of the 80's bands like Armored Saint, Helloween, Savatage,ect... All good bands as well but not mind blowing or overly distinct.
Doll$boxx is also great and impressive love that style of metal and are great live. But I feel Doll$boxx are locked into a style where if they were to attempt anything other than that style would appear disingenuous. When comparing bands it is difficult to state one over another without diminishing the band not chosen, and instead of deminishing I rather choose to elevate. The reason I favor Band-Maid is versatility and the way they craft their songs to leave a memorable impression where you find yourself singing words from a different language other than your own.

      @@yang-it-yin7002 well said!
This is exactly what I think.
Speaking purely of shredding solos, though, personally I think young female guitarists like Lina S from France, Yoyo from China, Lisa X from Japan, Hal Ca from ASTERISM or Ayu Gusfanz from Indonesia are more "impressive" to watch than Miyako and Midori.
When a 9-11 years old girl can play songs like Jason Becker's Perpetual Burn or Andy James andy james' angel of darkness etc. at such level, that's IMPRESSIVE.

Welcome to the world of all-female killer bands. Lovebites don't just do power-metal, they do thrash, hard rock, power ballads, and more. Here are a few other bands, just from Japan, which is filthy with all-female rock, metal and punk bands. The first three are for historical reasons because they blew open the scene for girl rockers--the rest followed. (One band here is not all-female so you can save it for later):
Show-Ya (the original female J-metal band, founded in 1981, before Metallica-this is from their 30th (!) anniversary concert-and they are still touring): czcams.com/video/oJ_5Gv3vFjQ/video.html&pbjreload=10
Shonen Knife (The world’s first bubblegum punk band, founded in 1981. They have done several world tours. They also perform as a Ramones tribute band called Osaka Ramones): czcams.com/video/w9LUlYzOiWs/video.html
Destrose (This band was never stable, but has become almost mythic in Japanese metal history, because so many great bands spun out of Destrose, including Lovebites--you will recognize the drummer and bassist): czcams.com/video/7o7fktsBwQg/video.html
Aldious (Glamorous and kick-ass rockers-one of the first generation all-girl metal bands, along with Destrose) czcams.com/video/sfkJT0rra-8/video.html
Asterism (not all female, but will melt your face off- the guitarist Haruka Noma is off the charts talented and still a teen-ager) czcams.com/video/IfxMi0Bx4x0/video.html
Band-Maid (OK, there are 100+ great songs by them. Here is a live clip): czcams.com/video/FHpuEqMAcDg/video.html
Bridear (Heavy, technical-and the tiny bassist also growls): czcams.com/video/LQIDqudG_DQ/video.html
Disqualia (Destrose spin-out, featuring Narumi, one of the best guitarists of this generation) czcams.com/video/-M5zBKrTJRg/video.html
Doll$Boxx (insane mix of metal, electropop, and god-knows what else; a collaboration between Fuki and Gacharic Spin ) czcams.com/video/mu2z4Uf9Tgc/video.html
existTtrace (one of the earliest, progressive, technical, some death-metal and goth touches) czcams.com/video/Oz1Lv8XGBF0/video.html
Fate Gear (super-group, one of the Destrose spinouts-this single video is one of the best in this list): czcams.com/video/tLQbsoKQN-0/video.html
Gacharic Spin (founded in 2009 by a group of high-school friends; very technical, cover a range from punk-pop to heavy metal and progressive) Here is their first video, with original singer Armmy (d. 2015):
    czcams.com/video/vfzIt20_xXg/video.html
Gallhammer (Death punk; this is from their 2007 UK/Europe tour): czcams.com/video/2fTiyOO1nZE/video.html
Galmet (straight-up death metal, but in prom dresses) czcams.com/video/PnvrOLeRt-I/video.html
Ganglion (Metal with a hint of electronica)
    czcams.com/video/q9j4t3Ms-Sg/video.html
Lovebites - you just did Destinies, so here is a live clip that will blow your minds: czcams.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/video.html
Mary's Blood (The first major Destrose Spin-out: Saki murders her guitar without breaking any nails): czcams.com/video/MLM2unV0kwU/video.html
    Mutant Monster (Punk-pop):
    czcams.com/video/Fd6ymMR40NU/video.html
    Narumi (solo prog-rock composition-change of pace) czcams.com/video/cRyCaHjwIgk/video.html
54 Nude Honeys (early Japanese punk, from around 1990-they toured the UK and Europe): czcams.com/video/jHnJSoGN5Mk/video.html
    Otoboke Beaver (thrash punk): czcams.com/video/fkWfFXnLpYg/video.html
Rie aka Suzaku (instrumental guitar) czcams.com/video/m6Z2GD5SqNs/video.html
Tricot (Post-progressive math-rock, very technical, crazy time signatures and polyrhythms) czcams.com/video/P_B_GalsJrE/video.html
Sonic Lover Reckless (Special project of Miyako Watanabe, one of the two insane Lovebites guitarists): czcams.com/video/DXZ-qhxd1VI/video.html
    Have fun!

All-female Japanese (hard)rock & (heavy)metal fan here. Lovebites is my all-time favourite and I think I've pretty much seen them all over the years, starting with the 'godmothers' of the genre, Show-Ya (at it for over 35 years now!). But next time do a live performance of Lovebites, please!
But Ladies Week isn't complete without Girlschool, of course: czcams.com/video/BYNWo93fPG8/video.html

For a all female member band you should check out a 3 sister band from Mexico, Dani guitar and vocals is 20, Pau drummer and vocals is 18, Ale bass and vocals is 15.I would suggest the title track queen of the murder scene.. from there 2nd full album Queen of the murder scene.. A concept album, or the intro to the story from the album "dust to dust". They just went into the studio to record their 3rd album.

Seriously, J-Rock/Metal is dominated by women. Band-Maid is hands down the best band there is. But you must then add in Aldious, Mary's Blood, Trident, Bridear, and so many others. You should also catch Asterism and D_Drive. Instrumental band with Women lead guitarists that will blow your mind.

Great reaction to Lovebites. This band doesn't write good songs. Not one good song in their library. They only write and perform masterpieces. Miyako is the guitarist with the Dimebag Darrell Dean Guitar. Midori is the other guitarist. If you delve into them further you will discover they are just as good if not better live. Miya and Midori both have their own unique tone on guitar which helps identify who is playing a particular part in dueling solos. The tones combine very nicely for the harmonies. Asami does take a little getting used to for her voice since she does have a slight accent. Once I got used to her singing style I really found her to be dynamic and she can hit those high notes. Miho is the bass player and was heavily influenced by Steve Harris. She's great for the band and was co-founder along with drummer Haruna. Not sure, but I would guess that Haruno runs a double marathon every concert on that double kick. Her style is also very precise and she possesses great technical abilities. There are no guests in this band. They all contribute music and arrangement. Main lyricist is Asami with Miho providing some too. Miya is a prodigy and even better on piano.
