Getting The Best From Your Car Cleaning Chemicals | Wowo’s Review Pt2

- In this the second part of the review of Wowo’s Automotive Detailing chemicals I look at how the lower end of the dilutions work for the snowfoam & shampoo and question why the dilution instructions are so varied, I hope it gives you some sort of idea of how to get the most from using them to still enjoy using them but get more out of the products.
IT’S IMPORTANT YOU WATCH PART ONE FIRST SO PLEASE CLICK HERE TO WATCH • CLEANING A FILTHY SUV ...
This is part two of a series of videos I’m doing from Wowo’s Automotive Detailing, a brand I’ve wanted to try out for a number of years and finally get the chance to use the products, I’m really excited to get using them.
The products in the video were sent free of charge by Wowo’s to see what I thought of them, it’s not a paid advert or a promotion on their behalf and the video review is based on my own opinions on the products, it is GENUINELY my OWN opinion.
Wowo’s is a car detailing brand established in Scotland back in 2013, expanded rapidly with the help of The Rag Co in 2019 to distribute the brand across the USA but sadly the brand folded but now IT’s BACK!!
New Owners and a new location , still based in Scotland so I’m really excited to be bringing a series of videos to you showing you the features and benefits of the products , as well as some of the downfalls.
That’s what a true review is all about!!

Excellent video as always. I to am enjoying the range. The shampoo is outstanding for user experience I love it. So so so slick
Thanks Steve, have you found it enhances gloss or beads when it rains too?
Good review Graeme👍. Allthough you're washing an allmost clean car, I like these video's better than those "disaster detail" video's of which you know they are fake. If they are real, ok but lately........... Point is, that sort of video's are the ones that score the numbers. I prefer channels like yours. Keep doing what you do💪
Thanks mate, yeah I know what you mean. Every month there’s a new ‘Found under a landslide 75 years ago’ and it rinsed clean 🤣
My brother came over yesterday for a detail & I was expecting a very dirty Fiesta, only thing he said on text was it hasn’t been cleaned since August so I was expecting a really grubby car but it wasn’t 😖 on camera it looked reasonably clean , used a bit of a mix of chemicals on that one so look out for that ‘disaster detail’ 🤣
@@GMDetails 😂😂😂👍
Hi cracking video Good interesting stuff really helpful tips and tricks hopefully when we get some nice weather I can get out and clean my new car it's a big shame that they have got a lot of the wax on the plastic trim looking forward to the next one
Thanks Craig, quick tip for you is get a pencil eraser and rub the plastic trim where the wax is , it’ll get the nasty white residue off no trouble at all 👌
Never heard of this product until now so cheers for posting. I'll probably but something from them in the future to support them but rather confusing info from this company on a few of the products 🤔 It would be good to see this MG's plastics enhanced and protected with something like Solution Finish or similar...
They still have their 50% off Black Friday sale on if you’re wanting to try something but postage prices are not cheap under the free delivery limit
I have Solution Finish in the garage I usually coat it with Monstershine trim wax a couple of times a year, could be a job for the summer 🤔
Thanks for another great video review mate. It's so great to see a review where you can gleem so much info out of it about a product and brand so you can decide whether it's something for yourself or not. There's lots of pros and cons clearly articulated here.
I really am baffled by the shampoo though. Odd dilutions listed that appear incorrect and a manufacture that doesn't appear to know it's own shampoo content. We've been here before with another certain Scottish chemical manufacture that didn't seem to care about its contents and user instructions😵💫🤔.....let's hope Wowos is more interested in the feedback than the other was!!!
Can't wait to see how Crystal Sealant performs moving forward. Keep up the great productions mate.👍
Thanks Andy , yes that other brand that will never feature on this channel because of it 🙄 I was really disappointed that I was given conflicting advice from Wowo’s , there aren’t any other uk reviews on CZcams for the brand either which I think is odd too, they’ve been around 10 years !!
Maybe Scotland is a weird mysterious Area 51 for detail products that never get shown, serious lack of Angelwax on CZcams as well 🤔
It's all very odd mate. Like I said in my comment on the first video the brand seems to have a good base but it needs some refinement on instructions of usage but it looks like they maybe need to understand it first. Possibly something to do with the ill-fated link up with the Rag company
Ha ha yeah 100% all americano interference 🤪
Designed to help them use foam lances for their ‘soaps’ etc , meh
I bet that's exactly what those instructions are for....lance applied
😱
Interesting video mate. After commenting last week I decided to take advantage of their birthday discount and popped down to collect my products yesterday as they are local. Didn’t pick up the shampoo and I’m disappointed I didn’t now I’ve seen this weeks episode! Will see how I fare with them.
Aw man Gaz!!, I did say on the first video to wait till the second 🤣🤣
Sale still on if you want it 🤣
@@GMDetails and just 15 min along the road 🤣👍🏻
Great video, Graeme 👍🏻
Bit weird about the shampoo but a win on the wheel cleaner 🤷🏼♂️ maybe as you say, it’s a label info thing which WoWo’s need to revisit
Thanks Craig!, well tbh, you can count on one hand which brands offer products where everything is pretty much perfect for every product 🤔
Awesome video mate! I love the WoWos shampoo......but I'm also intrigued about the pure shampoo situation 😂. I think we need to do a test on a few dead panels and figure out if it's creative sexy beading or not.
You da man for that now 👌
Another great video 👍👍
I've used the shampoo through the snowfoam lance and haven't used that much more product, as what was left just went into the wash bucket with 10ltrs of water. However I didn't even think about overloading the wash mitt though. Thought provoking to say the least!!
When you’re rinse bucket has more suds then your wash one 🤣🤣
Great 2 part series Graeme, your spot on with what you said regarding ready to use chemical mixtures, they are a thing of the past! would much rather go spend £1 on elbow grease over significantly more for a RTU APC in a nice bottle. As for this range and my needs, they just don't line up and it wont be a brand i try any time soon, still some development required as well as some less confusing labels.
Thanks Dave!, Elbow Grease has been likened to Autosmart G101 a few times and is a great degreaser APC, I really don’t like when brands take advantage like this and charge a fortune for what’s predominately water 😤
Good to see you had another go with them. God knows how they came up with the dilution rates on the bottle if it was ok at a more normal level too, but now it may also have wax in, all a bit strange🤷🏻♂️
Thanks Nick, yes it’s all very odd, which kinda led me to try the shampoo at a very high dilution to see if it would clean on its own and as many others have said it always needs a contact abrasion so there’s absolutely no need for it to be any more concentrated than a regular wash, same goes for every shampoo I guess in that case 🤔
I think they’ve fallen into the overthinking the product instead of simply
1. Clean car with a suitable pre wash like Awesome Foam
2. Dilute shampoo to 300-1 or 35ml in a 20L bucket
3. Apply from top to bottom with a wash mitt in straight lines and rinse mitt often
I totally agree on the wheel cleaner it is simply the best. As I previously commented I found the prices steep unless I was getting a deal and when I went personally to the factory I usually got an extra discount so it is a shame they have moved to Aberdeen but then again that is my home town and my son is at Uni there so I could still pop in to save postage on the wheel cleaner. There is the Aberdonian in me coming out (tight with cash) I have a pot of 121 wax as well that was hyped up about contact angles but again I only used it once as I then found out about Mitchell & King Wax specialists based in Paisley so I support another Scottish business exclusively now. I still look forward to more products being used by you in future videos to keep up with the latest tips and tricks. I am glad you debunked the shampoo in the foam lance theory as I agree with you and I have enough foam on the driveway and my neighbors drive but I detail his car also so he is ok with that.
Thanks John!, that would be interesting you going to Mitchell & King and both of you are called John 😅
Ive only ever tried one M&K wax and they messed it up 🥴 (M&K) by not adding a scent , customer service was spot on as he quickly arranged a replacement wax later that week.
I haven’t reviewed it as it was a custom made wax so no point really as it can’t be bought now
You have clearly changed your ways moving away from Aberdeen cause you’re buying M&K waxes, who doesn’t love a local brand you’re able to pop into for a chat & a cheeky discount , I used to have Chemical Guys beside me but sadly that closed down 😭
Anyway I love that you’re also supporting me watching my videos and commenting , thank you very much mate 👌
@@GMDetails I really appreciate the ability to pop into M & K and have a chat with John the owner and pick his brain on detailing and waxes and chemicals he has even taken on some of my requests. I class John as a personal friend and will be popping round soon with my new to me car next week if Honda can iron out a couple of blemishes on the paintwork so the base for putting on some of John's incredible waxes. I follow a few of my local (Scottish) CZcams detailers picking up hints and tips to improve the hobby I love in my retirement. I would urge you to try some more products in the line up. Pure & Titan are two of the most standout products and the waxes are superb.
@@johnbrown3951 I’ll take a look mate 👌
@@GMDetails Check out his website shop. You will not regret it but it may hit your wallet. He has also started a 250 ml range as well to try out products.
@@johnbrown3951 prices aren’t as high as they used to be , was impressed by the amazing choices of scents for SPA 😳
Another class, honest review Graeme 👍🏼
I don't get the shampoo at all mate... Either the company didn't read your messages properly or they don't know what's in it - either way that's alarming! Shame is, it actually looks like a really good shampoo, particularly if you use less if the recommended dilutions 🤔
Brilliant editing as alway, love the opening music 👌🏼👌🏼
Thanks Mark!, I’m really surprised Wowo’s hasn’t commented on either of the videos, guess they thought I’d be promoting them rather than an honest review 🤷🏻♂️isn’t that what happens when you are sent products?
The shampoo has 5 chemicals & preserving agent,
Cleaning, degreasing, surfactant, foaming agent and a cling agent
Scent and some dye
Question is , why would you need a shampoo to cling?
I’m actually really enjoying the lowest dilution of the shampoo regardless , it makes my cars pop with gloss and they stay cleaner for a lot longer than any other brand I’ve used to date. Can’t wait to try out the tar remover & fallout remover next 😃
@@GMDetails looking forward to that already mate 👌🏼
Hi Graeme and merry Christmas to you. Cleaning white cars really gives you feedback as to how good you are at cleaning I’m finding now I own a white car. That said I had to pre-wash my car twice last weekend and still wasn’t happy with the results. It must be the way I applied them as they are well respected brands. Moving forward I’m thinking of getting some Autoglym multiwash for the winter as I’ve heard good reports of it. Have you ever used it? If so how did you get on with it?
Merry Christmas Greg! 🎄 yeah white in winter can be a really satisfying clean but totally ruined if you miss a bit 😅
I haven’t tried any of Auto Glym multi wash, I’m quite interested in doing a bit of a comparison with a few non caustic TFR’s I’ll add this to the list to check out thanks for the recommendation 👌
Great and interesting video, nice to see the shampoo doesn't need to be used at a ridiculously huge amount......However......I don't like the fact that u asked them specifically about whether it had wax in it and they said Yes, despite it being classed and advertised as a Pure Shampoo, then when you asked you got that HAHAHAHAHAA followed by them saying it hasn't got was or gloss enhancer in it 🤔 response, so what is it, Pure or Wax/Gloss Enhancer Shampoo, shame that because it's great they're a Scottish company and I'd have probably bought them just for that fact but that element of doubt in their products has put me off 😔
Thanks mate yeah I wanted the lower dilutions to be in last weeks but it was just dragging on, would have been better leaving out the APC & wheel cleaner and maybe doing separate videos on them but hindsight etc 😤
So the shampoo is a complete mystery and there’s NO Wash N Wax shampoo that’s ever left a car beading like this!, we may never know what’s doing it but it’s a very nice shampoo to use , even at 30ml for light dust delivers a good wash.
Completely confusing advice and ABSOLUTELY NO PRODUCT DESCRIPTION on the website either there’s clearly a lot of work still to do by Wowo’s.
First 😏😉🤣
🏳️🌈
Big shame that from WoWo. I heard great things about their Crystal protection on alloys being durable and incredible but what ridiculously poor customer service from them. The poor inaccurate labelling on their own products as well is cause for concern. Clearly they don’t care for their brand. Most disappointing and they’ll likely die out. A real shame as there’s space on the market for a durable long term spray sealant protectant for alloy wheels. Most of the ones I try don’t last that long.
Thanks mate, I actually was starting to think I’d been a little hard on them but these are all things that I look for so I put it in my reviews , nothing worse than not knowing what to do with a product let alone be stood looking up a website for instructions 🤦🏻♂️
And to date no further info has been placed on the website about the concerns I raised either with product use instructions.
I’ll certainly be doing another wash & protection with the Crystal sealant and I think I’ll coat my alloys too if you’re saying it gets a good rap , thanks and be sure to look for that video later in the year 👌
@@GMDetails Nah mate. It’s not being hard on them to expect them to care about their brand and answer customers questions. That’s a basic requirement. You’re spending your hard earned cash for their product. Least they can do is convince you why? There’s loads of products available in the industry. No shortage of competition. Customer service is one way to retain and expand customer service base. I always get a proper answer whenever I’ve called Peter or his customer service desk line at Bilt Hamber. Any query, big or small gets answered suitably. Proper instructions is a prerequisite. It’s a sign of a good quality product but in short supply a lot of the time. Users have to know how to get the best out of the product. Even the experienced hardcore crowd. Taking feedback into consideration and improving things is also a big deal. Nothing stands still and last forever. Garage therapy have been working tirelessly at times to improve their products and become number 1 all around. Same with Bilt Hamber with their new version of Touch Less that is slightly thicker than the first version that came out.
Yeah from what I saw online in forums and various places, people have said it last several months and makes cleaning alloys painless. I’m not so sure myself. I’m naturally skeptical because other spray on sealants I have used which are meant to last a good while, don’t last with 5-10% prewash of Surfex HD on them and some scrubbing afterwards with Surfex HD to bring them up to a good standard. Might be I’m scrubbing/brushing off the sealant. John from Forensic did tests and saw no obvious degradation in LSP using Surfex HD.
Would love to see your experience in using the crystal sealant on alloys. It wasn’t available to buy when I looked for it a while back. I know you like most detailers won’t say no to easier to clean alloys!
Mate I had no idea there was a new version of Touch Less out 😳 I’ll need to try and get some, is it described as improved or is it a case of the newer stuff will just filter through distribution chains?
I’m with you 100% on your comments there about customer service , I seem to be quite unique in including this in reviews as so many Instagram / CZcams reviewers are hell bent on giving a good promotional overview that ensures their relationship with brands to keep receiving free products to use on their channels 😤
Come spring I’ll def be trying Crystal on my alloys so there will def be a full video on that coming 😀
We'll never know. That's poor form from wowo's.
I haven’t heard from them again 😳
@GM Details that's shocking! Well, I just don't think that they warrant my money then, not when the people at other companies I've contacted respond. I emailed Autobrite last night, got a reply this morning, that's excellent service. When there is so much choice, it's important to offer good service.
Agreed!!, I may have to take another look at Autobrite as I haven’t used them since 2014 , actually I still have some of the products which haven’t separated, lost colour or split , credible stuff 🤩
