Glock has competition from all the major manufacturers that is just as good or arguably better than the Glock. My first pistol was a G17 back in the late 2000’s. Then got a G19 for edc 10 years ago. My G19 hasn’t been in the rotation for 3 years! Both have been put out to pasture. The PDP, P365XL, P365XMacro, and Delta X have replaced them. All four are better than my G19. Glock hasn’t come out with a pistol as of late that’s compelling enough to buy. I still have and use my AR15’s though.
Wow I’m amazed that they got it to look exactly like every other Glock I’ve ever seen. It’s like walking in a mirror maze I look shorter or taller at times but it’s the exact image every time
Can’t forget the part where they took off all the functionality upgrades they’ve spent the 40 yrs they been around developing to make it a better system like the light mounting rail, night sights, slide nose taper, ambi slide release, an better grip texture 🤣
Always thought that was ridiculous. With today's technology though, we are getting there. There are MANY non-metallic or non-ferrous materials (not containing iron and not having/causing magnetic flux) we've found that are stronger than steel/metal. Some are made of carbon and boron and we're also coming up with extremely strong epoxies and plastics/polymers.

I adore Lenny, his knowledge and enthusiasm about this handgun platform is second to none. Hearing him struggle to find the differences between the 17 classic and current generation did make me chuckle though. Glock innovation.

If you can get one at or around the normal retail for a standard 17, its worth buying... But paying 7-800 bucks for one, is just about ridiculous.
I'm no Glock fanboy... but think it's ridiculous when people hate on them. They wouldn't be one of the most trusted and used guns in military and in the public if they weren't good guns (that people find Worth buying and trusting). I love many other guns and would equally trust my life with them... but it don't really make any sense to shit on Glocks though.

Been shooting my gen 3 for like 15 years. Probably 50k rounds and not a single issue. I can honestly say I have only had one stove pipe in all that time, which is unreal reliability.
Good to hear. Many people replace the Gen 3 ejector with the Gen 4 ejector to get better, more reliable extraction/ejection... but it don't sound like you need it.
Love it Sir. I did buy one in 1986 and have gotten that rifle package you once showed online . At the time I couldn't get one from you so l ordered that frame elsewhere. That is really a fine combination . I now have a G30 & 26 . We had revolvers in the 60's when I policed here in Shreveport, La.

So, if this is an authentic Glock 17 reproduction, does it have the same internals as the original? Specifically, does it have a spring and guide rod that are separate? Does it have the same trigger as the original? Barrel?
@@frostedminibutss7059 They do Tenifer, but it's a gaseous Tenifer and not a liquid Tenifer... so it has far, far less waste and causes far, far less pollution. I'm not certain how effective it is compared to the original Tenifer though. If I'm not mistaken, they can still do the original Tenifer process in Austria, but chose to stop using it when it became illegal in the US. (I could be wrong about that though. Just vaguely remember hearing that).

I want to tell you Sir, I’ve been buying parts from you with great success in my shooting of the G19. I have a wrist injury that affects my handgun marksmanship. By buying and installing your tungsten guide rod and a few other accessories, I’m able to shoot again with decent accuracy and precision. The tungsten guide rod alone has drastically leveled and lessened my handguns recoil. This comment may sound somewhat non important but being able to shoot again like I use to is very important to me!!! Thank you!!!!!!!
I like that they even included the post in the case that sits in the trigger well. Multiple people accidentally shot themselves in the hand putting a loaded pistol in to the case and bumping the trigger. Glock settled multiple lawsuits over this "issue" and discontinued it with the Gen 2 Tupperware cases
I'm starting to realize Glock is like the Air Jordans of pistols and like Air Jordan collectors, most people who collect them don't wear all of them often.
The only differences in all the glocks every made is the gen 3 Has finger Groves, and the gen 5 has some grip lines on the front of the slide with a bigger mag release button. All the rest look exactly the same... 😊
No forward serrations and no finger grooves! Looks like a winner to me! MSRP? I wish they would churn out a bunch of these minus the collector stuff. Hopefully, they would cost a little less and you wouldn't feel like a bad guy for carrying it.

Got the P80. It's my favorite workhorse. Very nostalgic. Brings back memories.
I can almost 100% guarantee that's just a gen 5 g17 without a light cutout and different stippling.
I have an original Glock 17 that I bought in 1987 or 1988. Carried it in Panama while I was in the Marine corps.

Sorry, 1989 was Gen 2. Does it have the waffle pattern backstrap? Gen 1 is same texture all the way around the grip.
