Hello George! Surely an amazing aquascape.
I would recommend some Serpae and Ornate tetras as they would compliment the red from Ludwigia Pulstris plant.
Could you please comment the track name played at minute 6.11?

I'm totally absorbing all the great tips and tutorials that you do. I'm waiting to get everything on hand, so I can start my first real aquascape. So, I have me a 33 gallon lowboy with all the mechanical supplies. And how I wish I could get Tropica plants but, because I can't , I ended up getting two plant orders... one from aquarium co-op and one from Dustin's fish tanks.. so I have them scattered around in my other smaller aquariums to let them grow in.. that way when I get ready I can put to use what I've learned from you😁 I look so forward to experiencing everything from the planting until the months to come watching it grow! The only thing I still have to get is my hardscape!Thank you for another amazing tutorial my friend( I enjoy being your student so much 😁) thank you so much for sharing! I hope you have a very blessed and beautiful day!👍♥️🐟🌿🌱🙏

Too bad I'm not using insta... would've loved the tropica book.
Really cool that you keep pushing yourself with the choice of plants and the result is stunning. Fish-wise, I think it would be great to add smaller fish to maintain the sense of scale to this scape. How about a nano-fish only tank? The use of smaller fish will accentuate the Malawi cichlids' sheer size next door. I think the Danio Margaritatus would look great with their little red/orange fins that could really compliment the reddish warm tones of your plants/scape while contrasting with the colder blue colours of the Malawi set-up.
Anyways, I've no doubt you will come up with a great idea.
    Have a wonderful day!

After two years of this and my 240 gallon? I'm getting to be a ruthless pruner. No longer do I let the plants grow wherever. I also have no tolerance for dying stems..they start to look bad? I cut them out..or back. I've learned that carpets can develop bald spots as months go by..so I just take trimmings and replant..to keep things fresh. It's interesting to see cuttings thrive as old stems age out. I mean,no changes in water. Yet you can go from thinning to dense with cuttings. Stems that lean across say the Sword plants? I cut them. Makes for a clean neat look instead of unkempt hair.
    Be ruthless!
