    Nothing lasts forever, and people can get burned out doing the same thing over and over. So getting a new flea Market video is a gift.I certainly appreciate them,they are a great source of information. I can tell Frank is a little burned out on them, faking excitement isn't his thing. So thank you Frank as well.Much Respect for,the two of you.

    That Peewee Herman doll is something I still have today. I got it when I was a kid for Christmas back in the 80's and the voice box sounds the same as that one! All sped up. Neat to see it out there.

    Because of Pat I'm hooked on Flea markets now. I get so excited about going the next day that I can't fall asleep. Even if I can't score big on hidden gems, the resellers around me will usually cut me a decent deal with bundles.

  • @PeteSkerritt
    @PeteSkerritt Před 9 lety +5

    While collecting for PS2 certainly isn't either valuable or challenging at present, I've still enjoyed putting a decent (and cheap!) library of games together for the platform. Seeing sealed PS2 games like we saw in this video was pretty cool.
    Very interesting to see those boxed NES games that aren't selling. Pricing has a lot to do with that-- especially at a flea market-- but even in reseller circles. Unless the titles are in demand, fewer people are going to pay exorbitant prices for boxed games.

    • @darthlobster
      @darthlobster Před 9 lety +7

      +Peter Skerritt I am happily collecting for the PS2 at the moment. Nobody seems to be doing so which means that the prices are low and the pickings are easy, and oh God there were so many good games on the system! I'm also collecting for the Wii for the same reason. People think I'm nuts. They are all about that N64.

    • @shinmusashi44
      @shinmusashi44 Před 9 lety +2

      +Peter Skerritt There's lots of valuable games on the PS2. Go look at games from Atlus and NIS. Many of their games go for good money.

    • @RoyStorey
      @RoyStorey Před 9 lety +5

      +darthlobster funny thing is, when i started getting into collecting years back, almost nobody really cared about n64 collecting and you could grab most games on it for cheap. now it's exploded.

    • @karenelizabeth1590
      @karenelizabeth1590 Před 9 lety +2

      +Peter Skerritt The PS2 is the newest console I own. I've been playing it since the 2000s and I've just never really stopped. So weird that its becoming "collectible" now :-P

    • @AndyVoong925
      @AndyVoong925 Před 9 lety +2

      +Peter Skerritt Collecting for the PS2 is really fun. However, in my local area a lot of thrift stores are beginning to increase their prices for PS2 games and systems. About a year ago, I was able to get a Slim PS2 cable and cords, controller and two games for $20. Now, they are asking $20 for just the PS2 system.

    I set up at a swap meet with my dad in Vegas... I had a bin of genesis, nes, and snes titles for $2 each.... I had some kid keep asking if I was a reseller... "Well I bought these 5 years ago, and these are duplicate or games I wasn't interested in, so I guess so". I had no idea being a reseller was a negative connotation... Now I see where he got it from.... LOL... Yeah kid, I get rich off of the 1 bin of $2 games.... It pays my mortgage.... lol

Best I can find is yard sales which barely ever have games these days because most people are smart enough to sell on ebay or price the games at the yard sale at ebay prices. Oh man I would be all over that box of sealed PS2 games. There could have been some really good stuff in there, like the harder to find RPG's. Lately, I've been finding so many sealed Ps2 games at flea markets and thrift stores, dirt cheap too.
    Even the boxed NES games I'd be all over. They're hard to come by, especially in a flea market. At this one flea market near me a booth has CIB copies of stuff like Starfox, F-Zero, Mario 3, Double Dragon 2, but they've been there for months, probably years. Most likely because of ridiculous prices.
