Here we have soaps that float, trick soaps, soap on a roll, money soap with cash hidden inside, elegant soaps modelled on a leaf which can be used as a luxury guest soap, soaps that grow fur, and novelty shaving soaps.

I once had a fire extinguisher that did just that. Messed up half of the house with its fine powder - mind you, robotic vacuum cleaners weren't a thing back then.

I believe soap paper was fairly popular in Korea ~15 years ago. Not sure if it still is.
Haven't ever seen it in Canada or the States.

actually, on the swedish soap package it says "saltsjötvål" wich means salt lake/ocean soap. So it probably also float in slatwater
Isak den vise Saltwater has a higher density than freshwater, so anything that floats in freshwater will float even better in saltwater.
Isak den vise it also says that I floats on fresh and salt water in the description on the box
It also works to wash with in salty water. Not all soap does.

i remember back when i was 12 i was very amazed by mechanical pencils they’re so brilliant and its amazing the different designs they make of them so i was amused by collecting them every-time i was at the supermarket i would look at the mechanical pencils

This is hilarious because I made a satire "Hotel Soap Review" video filmed in a sewer in the pitch dark, and one of the hotel soaps I showed was a golf ball soap just like that one (I was on a work trip in Istanbul and stayed in 6 different luxury hotels while there, collecting all the soaps)

The neatest soap I ever got was Macedonia soap. I picked some up during a visit to Spain. It is a little translucent but with chunks of non translucent soap inside it. Turns the bath water white also. Not sure why but it always seemed to relax me when I took a bath with it.

I'd love to be a guest at Tim's house. Everything would be a fun novelty, from the salt and pepper shakers at dinner to the soap in the shower
Ivory soap is what I grew up using and I found out here recently the makers of that soap put a lot of air in it to make it float. If you put it in the microwave it will swell up and you will see the air pockets. Very strange looking but satisfying to watch while it is in the microwave and see the end result!

Lovely video, truly extraordinary the rare soap you collect. Shame I didn´t come across it 6 years ago on it´s release date. You see I am myself a proud Swedish bathe and soap enjoyer. And that soap you used is quite common in Sweden. However, it is most common in the brackish (salty) water of the Baltic sea. Its literal translation as said on the package is "Saltwater soap" and it is designed to work well in salt water. Beyond that, great video. Cheers!

Ivory brand soap is also buoyant. This is because the stirring process used in its manufacture incorporates air bubbles into it. (Floating soap is the perfect thing to take sailing, btw. If your craft sinks, you can easily wash yourself ashore.)

I’m not sure why, but I love these videos. I feel like I learn so many neat things.
Even though you put this video out several years ago, I just came across it today. The furry German bath soaps aren't a new idea. In fact, if you look up fuzzy wuzzy bath soap, it was available in the US in the early 1960s.
I remember my mom buying it for me and me waiting for 3 days for it to grow enough hair, so I could use it.
Wow, I haven't thought about that in over 40 years.
