I’m so glad I booked it when I did got a ocean view balcony for 2 people at 3k. I sailed last week and loved it! I want to go back on but cant justify spending twice what I paid.
Taking the family on b2b over Christmas and New Year’s!! I’m sure it’s going to be crowded with families, but I can’t wait 🎉🎉 so excited for all the water slides and new shows!!

The ship has a crew of 2,350, and a capacity of 5,610 passengers at double occupancy, or 7,600 passengers at maximum capacity. Really about the same as the Oasis class, which I never feel crowded on. Will be sailing Icon in 2 days! Thanks for the video!
we went Feb 10. What a great ship! Running at 80 percent passengers for a while. Enjoy! Loved it so much we already booked Star of the Seas!

While Icon looks amazing, and maybe for some it's worth it, I just can't get over the price. Especially when for a similar sailing during the same week you can get a Jr Suite on Wonder of the Seas for the same price as an INTERIOR CABIN on Icon. The dates are within a week of each other and itinerary is the same.... yet you're getting a much bigger room, oceanview balcony, some of the other suite benefits like priority check-in, etc.
Icon is an Icon for sure, but the price when you think about the above? I just don't know.

I just started watching, we went on the inaugural, January 27, but we didn’t pay more than any other Royal ship, we booked the moment the sales came out, had a balcony for less than 4k. BTW, it was never crowded anywhere. We found many quiet places, loved the ship, we’ll go on it again with grandkids, we have them from 22 to 7, we think they will all enjoy it!

Was surprised at some prices that it costs for the cruise. But l don't care the price it cost for vacation if I want to go I pay for it. Know someone who brought 2 pairs of red bottom shoes and can't wear them. People like what they like. Shoes,purse,clothes,jewelry exct. Each to it's own.
Hey guys. The FOMO was real watching you guys and everyone on the press cruise and the inaugural. It looks like an amazing shop but $10k on the cruise and flights and that only probably includes the drink and maybe picture package. No shopping, excursions. Or air flights yet coming from NY. Would want to try at least 3 speciality dining with one of them being the Empire supper club. Oh and the Celebration room. Didn’t understand the extra nominal fee for certain quick bites when they had 🦞🦐🍤 and filet mignon daily in the Windjammer 🤷🏻♀️. Royal in general has amazing swim areas and shows. The rooms look nice and appreciate a roomier shower. Oh I see what Alyssa is saying about the bathroom/shower door/storage. A 3/4? Wow. Thank goodness we spend the least amount of time in the stateroom. Getting on the ship quickly seems to be a common review. Thanks for your insight guys. Have a great day 🤗

They had cold lobster and filet mignon last saturday for lunch. The filet tasted good, but was kinda well done. I didn't get to catch them grilling at that time and asked for med. rare. I ate at the dining room 6 times. During Royal Night Thursday evening, which was the steak or lobster, They let me have both since I asked for it ;) also Pistachio ice cream for desert, (it wasnt on the menu)

So if I understand you’re right in this video you were on the water slides on the ship and it was docked it Royal Caribbean private island so you’re saying they are open while they’re at the private island
They were open when we went while docked at Coco Cay. I found that interesting but yes, they were open!
I did Wonder of seas and I said never again. Not cause it was so big but because of the cost of everything. I don’t understand how families can afford the mega ships.

I truly don’t understand the hype behind the pearl itself. It looks like a staircase with unnecessarily annoying lighting. As someone with a vision situation that is exacerbated by certain lighting conditions, that is my biggest concern after price. It looks like a lot of reflective white surfaces with strong lighting- I can see myself walking up the pearl stairs and being like whoops there goes my left eye, que dizziness, faceplant, ouch. You can avoid shows and even buffets with bad lighting situations, but that is like right when you walk on the ship. 🤷🏻♀️
I think it’s an architectural edition to help the ship be larger and more spread out
There are thousands of individual panels inside that move around that makes a pattern, it's actually pretty nice and it's not really strong lighting, was just enough, kinda like mood lighting.

It frustrates me wanting to go on this ship so bad and the people who’s job it is to go on the ship to bring us information, and they get the opportunity of a free room, don’t even know the names of the areas on the ship. Questioning the pearls name, not knowing the hideaway, and not knowing the lime and coconut. How can you have a job doing this and not know those things? At least take the effort to re-record if it was a blooper.
They lowered the price of crowns edge to something like $40.
