Sorry you're not going at this time. About your 2 weeks in Hawaii on RC I've been using the "truEarth or Beyond" laundry sheets, no liquids to spill and just tear off what you need and they even have fabric softener. Love them for traveling and i now use them at home. Have fun, looking forward too seeing the videos ❤️❤️❤️

I don't know how to truly pack light. I always overpack. I have to sometimes bring a second suitcase. I have packed for a month in 1 suitcase and still needed 2 more bags for some of the other items that I brought along. This was around 3 years ago at this point.
Packing tips....if it were me, I would only pack enough diapers for the first 3 days and pick up the rest when you get to Hawaii. I did 9 days in Ireland last year(with 2 days of travel and I themed everything with a base of navy blue and mix/matched tops) and did a carry on and backpack only .
PLEASE do a behind-the-scenes tour of your equipment! Would love to see it!
Royal does have a “laundry bag” service where they will wash everything you can shove in their laundry bag for a fixed cost. With some skilled packing you can fit an insane amount of stuff in that bag! It’s all going to be washed together so really should be wash and wear clothes but it’s super helpful! But still not much cheaper than bringing the 2nd bag.

Think any families traveling with baby’s or young kids will be with you Alyssa on packing ( and the laundry situation) , its just a shame that Royal Caribbean don’t have a laundry option. Like some of the other cruise lines. Maybe they don’t think its a “ Necessity “ 🤷♀️🤔.

So NOT cancelled, just delayed.
Have packed recently for a 12 day cruise. Didn't worry about an outfit each night. Wore outfits more than once for dinner. Nobody even notices. Hubby only takes 2 pairs of slacks (usually navy and black or khaki) and maybe 3 nicer shirts to wear at night. He'll rotate those on different nights. Since we're not spending a long time in the evening clothes, easy to rotate. I've washed many things out in cruise ship sinks. Also take detergent sheets rather liquid since these are very lightweight. I can see traveling with a little one that the hardest part is taking diapers. Have seen a suggestion where moms will take the diapers out of the package, put only a few in a plastic bag and pack them flat throughout the luggage being able to move them in spaces other items won't fit.
I'm going on my 1st 10 day mediterranean cruise in june. I have a check one for 2st time. We shall see
That sucks! JJ Cruise are supposed to be on the Villa V residences too - I wonder if they got cancelled too!

It was difficult for me to pack for 2 adults and a baby for just 7 days, I can’t imagine for 14 days, and no laundry facilities!! 😮😮 Crazy!

I don't think I’ll ever be able to pack light especially for cruises longer than 7 days.
Pack light? Heck no...recent 18 and 15 night cruises required 3-4 suitcases. Granted two of them contained medically necessary items and machines.., but traveling light is not something I have concurred!!
When we pack for really long trips with our kiddos, i bring laundry strips and wash clothes in the sink. That way I only need a week of clothes.

We took a 3 week European cruise and it was fabulous but packing was a nightmare! Iceland is beautiful!
I'm sure you will get there one day real soon. Good things come to those who wait. I can't help Alyssa with the packing , I'm an over packer. I'm diamond plus on Royal, so we get a bag of laundry each for free.
If it went down to not going over just media and I packed up to “move” on a ship don’t record? Am I right? I know the reason for moving can’t come down to just media. That’s insane.
Have you looked at the website for this ship? I did and GOODNESS.... for a inside cabin it is $100,000 PLUS $1750 per month PER PERSON "Maintenance fees" The balcony was OUTRAGOUS... I assume, they would need to film and keep You Tube going to pay the fees for the three of them monthly. On a ship NO ONE knows anything about. Nope, no thank you hahaha Other Social Media folks going on this same ship have not posted they got cancelled so no clue why they got cancelled.
We only take 11+ days cruises and like getting to the port 3 days in advance (not including the travel day). So traveling overseas to a port I would think Royal should expect people to need laundry service on Day 1 or at least a self service option. Even the crew on our Mediterranean cruise was confused and they literally brought us back dirty pressed cloths 😩😩😩😩. I think our room attendant said they do laundry every 4-days. That's okay if it starts on Day 1 but not when we've been on the road for over a week..
It's been over 30 years since we traveled with a toddler, but you guys seem to have it down with all the traveling you're doing. Have fun on your cruise.
Husband and I can take a carry-on each and share a checked bag for 10 nights. For a toddler, a bag half full of diapers. That would make room for souvenirs on the way home. Several well padded bottles of coconut syrup would be good.
Carnival and Disney has self service laundry, you just told us princess as well! I know.... Royal mannnnn I always like going home with clean laundry. (NCL too...BOOOO). But I have not been able to in many cruises now LOL
16 days Seattle to Hawaii round Princess...with 2+ child/ 2 adults. It is my home port so large suitcase we threw away 😊😂 and 2 carry on! I always throw stuff away on return! You dont need a different outfit every night! Wear it again! Who cares!
Packing tips…bring mix and match outfits. I bring 3 -4 dinner outfits then mix and match. It’s okay to wear something again. Nobody knows except you and your traveling members. I bring 3-4 shorts and plenty of shirts to wear. A couple of bathing suits. For women, an extra bra in case one snaps…had that happen. Walking shoes, flip flops and a couple pairs of sandals. Plenty of underwear, a light sweater to wear in cold places on ship. Can usually get all in and bag is under 50 pounds.
I saw someone on IG post about a portable washing machine they got from Amazon
And it got confiscated by the Cruise line. Said that it would be next on list to nix that item on the cruise line.

Regarding media - The company is still a business and would like to promote themselves and share their excitement with the world - whether it’s social media or Business Insider. Media wouldn’t disturb residents?

I just been on a 11 day cruise this past January/February and it was my first ever cruise it was Royal Caribbean and I think reason for no Landry room because they because they want to charge more money unfortunately
Currently on Royal and was super disappointed that they don't have self-service laundry. The laundry bag service that they offer for a price does not include pants or dresses and you have to pay separate. Almost, $5.00 for pants for wash and fold, so it gets expensive. Especially if you have children and for a 2-week cruise that's a lot of days without doing laundry. So sent some down but I am washing by hand other items. I hope Royal puts in self-serve laundry again because it is really inconvenient with children.
I don't think the cruise is a scam, but you're whole promotion of going on this world cruise seems scammy. Residents don't want you on there for a few weeks....what residents? You have an agreement with the cruise line. Doesn't make sense, and i'd be surprised if you make it on there at all. I think the whole thing is just a paid promotion for the company.
Unfortunately for us, we are not getting paid. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ this world cruise is a residential ship. People can purchase cabins like a home. We laid out all of the details in our first few videos about it. 👍🏼
They probably aren’t getting paid but the cruise for them would be free. That is how a lot of content creators cruise so often. They don’t come out & say it’s free they say the cruise company invited them (free). The lines do this and many content creators then are giving them free publicity & it’s usually good publicity. There are a few (very) that still are honest on their review but it’s free for them.
I don’t blame the people that paid on for the cruise it would not make me happy that I spent all that money and these guys get it free.

Of course they didn’t and that’s the problem. They would have been using ‘fodder’ of people living in their new home to entertain their fans. Not appropriate.
I only took one suitcase for our 38 day, and I still over packed. 😀
When you announced it, I knew that you couldn’t just move to a ship, a 15 month old baby, no way!
I know Royal doesn't have self serve laundry, but they do have laundry service. If you're Diamond, you get a discount. Unless the self serve laundry is free, I'd rather pay to have someone else do my laundry on a cruise instead of paying to do it myself. 🤓
I saw a video where a woman said that Royal was going to let people use the crew laundry for the world cruise. I can’t confirm. Doesn’t Diamond get two bags on cruises that are 12 days long?
I would never be successful in packing light.
So many cruise tubers said they were moving onto that same cruise ship. You would think they would want media at least on the maiden segment! You never said what you were going to do with your dog while you were gone. If the cruise is only a year, what happens to the people who purchased units? Are they purchasing the units or just paying for the use of it for that year? When you use the vacuum sealed bags, doesn't that wrinkle the clothing terribly? I use packing cubes, too, because it makes packing and unpacking easy. I do not like to under pack! I want options. I usually get dressed up almost every night. Have fun!!

Know it’s disappointing cuz now you’re missing the European segment you wanted. That’s right. In the meantime, Hawaii let’s go 🤗. Yes. No laundry on Royal. Would think 2 cases and 2 carryons for a week cruise much less 14days. The longest we’ve done is 10dsyd and 1 28in and 1 carryon each. My pocketbook and hubby usually has a backpack. Do the Singapore segment. Or if they have a Greece segment. See you in Hawaii. Best vacation of my life 🙌🏼

I feel like the tik tok trolls who decided to board the RC world cruise have made the residents wary of having content creators on board. And they basically manufactured "drama" for views. Thanks for the update. I'm looking forward to what's to come.
Agree. Non creators on the ship have said it's a pretty normal drama free sailing. But tik tokkers have put out such bad press I can totally see "resident" pushback from content creators on other ships.
