Riding my 16 year old Peugeot Speedfight 2. I like the sound of a 50 cc 2-stroke engine. Everything is still original except for the rear and front suspension.
Peugeot thought that gear oil will last a lifetime so they did not made a drain plug for the gear oil.
I made the drain plug myself because i don't like to take the gearbox apart for only oil change.
Just bought a 2009 Speedfight 2 today! love your film! Now I have to learn to maintain the scooter
Good choice, speedfight 2 is a nice scooter. it's not so difficult to maintain this scooter, you can do it.

Ik bestel meestal alles online, je kunt eens kijken bij bv zandri, cityparts, M2 trading , deze site's hebben eigenlijk alles voor scooters.

I did buy the same Speedfight 2 you have today, the same color and everything :D 2002 mod
I use to have a Speedfight 2004 mod before, and that was a quality scooter....and it did go fast, near 100 kmt.

I think there was no scooter better than that. With manual clock normally. Not electrick.
What is the fuel consumption?
Hello there! Ive Been looking on a speedfight for a while! Dont want to buy speedfight 4 Beacuse its very expensive! So is the speedfight 2 good? What Do u think about it??
Hello Lucas, a speedfight 2 is a good choice. The SF 2 is good quality and is made in France. The SF 3 and 4 are made in China and is not the same quality as the SF 2.
The only thing i don't like about the SF 2 is the single swingarm on the front, but for the rest it's a good scooter.

the speedfight 1 is also amazing...mine is from 97 and very realiable, has good speed.
Removing the restricted plate - doesn't the require change to bigger exhaust?? or??
No it's not necessary, but if you like you can do it. probably the scooter will run faster. It's important to check the color of the spark plug after a short test drive.
Maakt jouw speedfight nou ook zo'n herrie heb begrepen dat dat aan het Peugeot blok ligt maar volgens mij is die van mij erg luidruchtig
Hallo Fenno, ja die van mij is ook luidruchtig maar bij mij komt dat uit de aandrijving en niet uit het blok. Dat ligt bij die van mij aan de vertanding. Ik heb die al een paar keer uit elkaar gehaald maar daar is niets mis mee. Schijnt vaker voor te komen bij Peugeot.
@@JacobAnnema Klopt heeft mijn speedfight ook niks aan te doen
Misschien zelf een aftap plug en een vul plug tappen in de vertandings kant en dan kan je de olie verversen en vullen misschien een iets dikkere pakken voor t geluid peugeot heeft dat niet zo slim bedacht dat gedeelte
Heb Zelf ook speedfight alleen dus trekt echt langzaam op
Bedoel je of die van jou of mij langzaam optrekt? Deze van mij is helemaal orgineel , zo trekt hij standaard op.
For good gearbox change oil after 10-15 thousands kilometers. I don't see why you had to make drain plug, I mean yea it's easier,like first SF had, but push rear brake, pull up and drain oil, job done. Done that so many times.
Of course that is possible, but it is much easier to do with a drain plug.

2006 SF2 is also good, SF2 is normally good quality , but you should look at the state its in when you buy a second hand scooter.
Does it consume a lot of fuel?Is fuel expensive?
No not a lot fuel, and expensive? Depends in wich country you live.

It's still original only the restricted plate is taken off. Top speed is 70 a 75 km/h

Hi, I use 9 gram rollers, and i change them every 7000 km.
