I really like the esthetics of the DeepCool coolers. I replaced a Thermalright Peerless Assassin dual tower with a DeepCool AK500 on an i9 10900k and the thermals are definitely not as good as the Thermalright, but the difference is negligible.

It was $99 dollars a few days ago and now it's $140 with a 7% discount on amazon. The BS marketing and these tech reviews that egg the buyers into wasting their money on literally crap for the price. I bet if they did a fan review price per performance this crap wouldn't be on the top 3 to buy.

Thank you for this Deepcool Assasin IV vs Noctua NH-U12a review. I have been building computers for an AI developer who works from home in an area with slow internet service. While coding can be done on a laptop, testing is done on a PC that I assembled with a 13900k CPU held down by a Thermal Grizzly Contact Frame and cooled by a Noctua NH-U12a and a 4090 GPU. With FurMark running on the GPU, the CPU was under 90 C while running Cinebench R23 doing a 30 minute stress test in a 25 C ambient. The multi thread score was just over 38000.
Intel XTU makes getting the most out of CPU lottery and cooling solution a lot more time efficient. Cooling solutions also need to be efficient over time. Dust decreases the cooling efficiency and dust increases with fan speed (air flow). Dust will accumulate exponentially with time. This means that an initial temperature margin will be needed to compensate for the inevitable accumulation of dust.
CPU temperature will increase exponentially with frequency. The CPU and its bios will use a higher frequency and voltage (turbo boost) on a core if the temperature and voltage and maximum frequency will allow. This seems like a good idea but it depends on the cooling solution. This turbo boost can use more of the thermal budget than the ideal heat/work ratio. A quick indication that the maximum frequency is too high is that the Windows Task Manager reports a CPU speed much lower than the maximum frequency. The best indicator is the Cinebench score at your target CPU temperature.
The best PC motherboard fan curves will remove the heat with the minimum air flow. This will make less dust and noise. By adjusting the exponent and maximum frequency the curve should look similar to the table below.
    CPU C 40 50 60 70 80 90 94
    Fan % 10 22 35 50 68 90 100
The number, size of the fans, and fan speed of the fans that help remove air (exhaust) should be sized to maintain positive pressure in the PC case from filtered air.

@@samsonadeboga223 those coolers for workstation cpus like the nhu-14s are only that good on those cpus, because of the very large die area, so the heat can transfer way faster, on a 13900k the die is very small, so the thermal conductivity of the integrated heatsink becomes the problem, because it cant transfer the heat fast enough so no matter the cooler it will overheat

I commented on another one of your videos with my YT account at work. I've had the Enermax ETS-T50 on my i9 12900K for 2 years and recently I took a fan from Cooler Master Hyper 212 and put it on the back side of my Enermax. It made a huge difference. I then bought the Noctua NH U12A. You're not going to believe this but my Enermax beat it by about 200 on CB R23. I put my Enermax back in and now it tests the same or better with multiple tests.

My most recent build was again a Noctua, the NH-U14S-4677 for my Intel Xeon W7-2495X 512GB RTX-3090 system. This cooler is amazing, and the massive heatspreader keeps the Xeon cool. 4677 processor installation was quite different though. I bought the Chromax-White Heatsink Cover for it as well, to match my white Corsair 5000D Airflow case. It looks great. Even if someone comes out with a cooler that outperforms Noctua, it will be tough to switch. I have Noctua in all of my computers. I stopped using water about 10 years ago when I had a leak in a $6000 system that corroded the main board and case. I'm too paranoid now.

If rear fan on your case is set to exhaust (frameless side facing towards the cooler) and frameless side of the CPU cooler is facing towards the rear case exhaust fan....isn't that an issue?
I say this because I recently switched the CPU fans on my Deepcool AK-620 Zero Dark because I was doing the same thing you were showing. So now my middle fan is set to pull air from the RAM side, and my rear fan on CPU cooler is set to continue that path (rear fan on CPU cooler has the framed side showing towards the rear of the case), and then that has the rear case continuing that flow.
So using the following character I will demonstrate my point (II will represent my RAM on the motherboard and < will be fan direction and [] will be cooler fin stacks).

So far Jonsbo is the only company that did the design so the front fan fits, im very happy with my Jonsbo HX6250 (I have Noctua NF A14 INDUSTRIAL fan on it too) 3000 rpm haha but stock one wasnt bad too, did you ever test Jonsbo HX7280 maybe ? Im still waiting for something better, in my opinion Deepcool didnt rly do a big thing with this one.

@@mk45232 Full speed 3000rpm is just silly, i have it setup to 2k rpm max, regular a14 goes 1500rpm.I use regular ones as intake, and industrial on cpu.

I have a Jonsbo U5 case with 6 Jonsbo ZG 120 ARGB intake and outtake fans. Also on the CPU (13900K) is mounted the Noctua NH-U12A All Jonsbo coolers are set to the lowest speed and my system is perfectly cool and quiet even when several hours of rendering are in progress

Deepcool is really great brand, i use personally Deepcool AK620 for my i9 version non K, and its working amazingly good - ofc in big Phanteks Enthoo p[ro case - small form factor is just bad for cooling. Throw away AIO, air is the way. Thanks for good vid as always~!

Yeah Performance it's little "disappointing" I guess, but wasn't bad. BUT design it's so COOL and CLEANING, esthetic so 🥰😍🥵and finally 100% compatibility with all RAMs if you liked so much RGB. And if you wanted "more perfomance" we can add third fan 120mm, and "limited" RAM just a little and "increased" the perfomance.

Noctua gives 189pts compatibility/perf for the NHD15 and the 13700 series.
169pts for the NHU12a. Which is logical because of the smaller fans

Let’s not forget water cooling still needs fans so beside the fan noice u will also hear ur pump… next build I’m planning Marx with a huge cpu cooler and 4 x200 mm case fans 😂
