26:32 the sound is Susan. She is performing what is referred to as “Agonal Breathing”. It’s what happens when the brain isn’t getting enough oxygen and your body puts your breathing into autopilot.
It is common in those who are within minutes to days of dying.
yeah I saw that in 8bit Ryans vid. It's very horrifying, but I'm kinda glad they put in things that are realistic with death
Also, the "rattling" heard often in agonal breathing is due to saliva in the mouth because your brain is no longer able to swallow on its own as it is supposed to.

@@silveramaryllis In that stage however isn't necessarily agonal breathing. It's called kussmaul's breathing is when a person who is transitioning (actively dying thus transitioning from life to dying to death) breathing at a rapid, deep yet consistent pace.
Agonal breathing or what we often refer to as cheyne-stokes breathing is when a person who is very close to death breathes at a very inconsistent pace and very often have varying gaps between breaths that can last 5 seconds, 10 seconds even up to 2 mins. This is a good indication that someone is close to death is when they engage in cheyne-stokes or agonal breathing. However it's not indicative of a specific time table like everyone else. They can pass whether an hr from that or even last usually 1 day or a day and a half.
@@kameryngreer3098 Agonal breathing doesn't usually last days it can last sometimes like you said minutes, hours sometimes a day and a half. I've dealt with patient's like that before and engaging in cheyne-stokes breathing (same for agonal breathing) is only an indication that a transitioning patient (transitioning meaning shifting from living to actively dying until death) is close to passing. It ultimately depends on how strong a person's heart is whether they have other co-morbidities like a heart condition, fever, diabetes, unclean wounds, etc.
What makes them last a bit longer is whether or not they have a pacemaker which will make them last at best in my experience as a hospice nurse 1 day or 2 rarely 3 but it happens. Again though it can change anytime. There is never a specific timetable on how long a person lasts no matter what estimates other medical practitioners say.

I only learned the context yesterday, because I was listening to RyeToast talk about mics during the podcast and he mentioned "a shotgun microphone". Was pleasantly surprised by the bit here lol
I have this on my second "monitor" (school laptop) and I had to immediately look to my left, just to see a microphone.
I think the reason Bon blends in with the background is the same reason why he knows that a spirit can't survive without a body. I think that Bon took too long and started fading away. He eventually possessed the Bon suit, but he already lost a lot of his spirit. That would also explain his broken speech and why he just introduces himself as "Bon". This spirit might not even remember their real name and only has the barest minimum of who they once were.

Yeah, he used the jacket more often because it was like the ""recording live action takes" outfit. So, when he was filming stuff around the house, he'd also use them to film for GTLive. Now he's just at home, so the fits are more relaxed since GTLive is not a core part of the Theory branding.

Also, Matpat, i don't know if you noticed but the first half with the facial recognition testing, it was mentioned that the Animatronics / the cyber console can't seem to recognize Sophie, despite recognizing everyone else, which may explain why Bon had killed Brian Stells, and Ashley the Clown, mistakening them as Sophie and that same face is actually the same as the face recognization program in the episode.

I'm pretty sure Ashley's death was more because she "saw something she wasn't supposed to and now she's beautiful, she's beautiful, she's beautiful", where Brian Stells was a mistaken death. I believe that's why the clown's "hitlist" names had Sophie in it, even though she has yet to be caught. Bon thinks he got her, and not Brian.

some say MatPat will never make a decision and will keep theoretizing for eternity, outliving Bon (who will die and go to an actual afterlife out of frustration with MatPat) and turning that place into his little Theory Paradise
newcomers to the afterlife will be greeted by MatPat and given his theories on what the best choice regarding afterlife is

25:15 in a previous video (the one that’s all audio logs of Felix with his face and the date) he mentions he was so drunk that he doesn’t remember where they were buried.
That might’ve been a secret video tho. All I know is that a lot of his regret comes from the fact that he couldn’t give the Waltens the closure they wanted because he was too drunk to remember where he buried them.

I find it a nice detail that both the first and last lines of Walten Files 4 are of Ed saying the same line: “Come on, Molly let’s go”
It seems like we got an answer to the "I will make you beautiful" thing. It's Bon tethering the spirits to the animatronics. We still don't why he thinks this makes them beautiful, but we know what he means by "I will make you beautiful." Also, the shadow-y figure at the end is the "shadow man" that feeds Banny when lights go off. Still don't know who shadow man is or what he's feeding her tho.
In one of the showstopper songs it basically confirms felix is the shadow man

I have a weird fascination with figuring out why he thinks becoming an animatronic makes humans beautiful
is it some kinda "I'm disgusted by weak flesh, I crave the strength and reliability of the steel, robots are stronger than humans" thing (these pizzeria animatronics aren't some kinda destruction robots, I wouldn't exactly call them sturdy, but idk, that's the first thing that popped up in my head) or is it some kinda "I was turned into an animatronic and calling myself beautiful is my way to cope, so I'll make others like me" thing (I haven't watched Walten Files for a long while and I have trouble keeping up with the story in the first place, so I don't remember how Bon came to be? is it explained? I need a rewatch)? this "beautiful" thing really spikes my curiosity because it's so so grotesque, a serial killer mutilating victims because he sees these mutilated bodies as "beautiful" - absolutely disgusting and terrifying (the entire reason why I'm fascinated with the series)

100% without a doubt. Ash is the very heart and soul of GTLive. Without Ash, Mat would just be talking to a camera, no banter to be had there, and going on wild lore hunts that would make him unable to finish whatever game he is playing. Ash keeps Mat focused.

The breathing can last for minutes or even hours
That also means the person is near death.

23:00 I read the “i follows me and i can’t bring myself to get rid of it” line as both metaphorical and literal. The doll moves on its own so it’s literally following him regardless of if he wants it to. But the doll haunting is also metaphorical because he took it back with him and then lied about where it had been.
It feels weird when Jack says to Felix “..if you did anything to those kids…” I feel as their father it would have been more natural to refer to them as “my kids”.
Martin, the writer and voice actor of Jack, isn't American, so perhaps its simply a translation issue

I love that Ash uses terms like "My Dude". I don't know why, but it never fails to put a smile on my face lol
Matpat laughing when the ghost kids said “uncle Felix”… the sheer mirth and unbridled joy at the suffering of this character, dear god.
I know it's all fiction and they were just joking around, but it made me very uncomfortable - I'm hyper-sensitive to any indication of trivializing suffering (making fun of hurt people, telling them to "just get over it") because of my traumas
I emphasize this: I'm aware it's just my subconscious reaction, I can't help getting "triggered" and my body going "fight or flight" over completely innocent statements that my subconscious connects with some actually terrifying events because there is some extremely surface-level similarity (it's like getting triggered over completely innocent words because your abuser used them a lot) - I'm not criticizing anything (MatPat and Ash shouldn't censor themselves or anything because it'd be impossible to run a show if you took into account everyone's triggers, absolutely anything can be triggering to someone because of the way brains work, they can't analyse the context immediately, it's just loose associations triggering memories), I was still able to watch and enjoy the episode, but just saying it was a bit creepy to me (not on the conscious level, just this primitive subconscious level), just sharing my thoughts cos I think they're related

@@autumnblaze6267 With Felix it's not so much of a "get over it" situation, but rather a "you f*cked up, quit whining and live with your mistakes" type of situation. Trivializing suffering is definitely not good, it's just that it might seem like someone is doing that when they are dealing with someone like Felix who deserves his suffering.

I think the Felix didn't choose to keep the doll. From the way he talks and the ending of TWF 3(where they possesed the doll in the woods), it seems he left Rocket in the woods, but the spirits possessing the doll returned to haunt him, and he is unable to get rid of it. Also in the secret vídeo of Felix's tapes he says that he forgot where the graves where and that he couldn't find the spot, so he wouldn't be able to tell Jack and Rosemary where he buried them
The way mat talked about at the end how fnaf doesn’t deal with the emotional ramifications might be what is in the box. Two keys, one for Henry and William, and it is better left locked forever than to grapple with them.

It feels important that the parts of Bon that are visible in the reveal are the parts of Jack Walten that have been darkened out throughout this episode
I love the lengths to which Ashe and MatPat will "Yes, and..." each other.
Felix is so interesting to me. Felix is someone i hate. Tv tropes calls characters like him a hate sink. But he is not mustache twirling. He is Pathetic. And that almost makes it so much worse. There is NOT malice to his actions. Which almost makes it worse. As matpat says. He’s a coward. A selfish coward. Nothing more. And it’s despicable.
Yeah, oddly - I don't hate him, I just pity him... And not in the "Oh, you poor thing" kind of way, either. Just "I'm know you didn't want all this to happen, and I'm sorry for you... But you made this bed, so now sleep in it."
But sadly, there's no coming back from crossing that line. There is nothing he can do to make it right or better. Nothing. All he can do is admit to it and take accountability for his actions. It won't make things better or right, but it is just the least harmful thing he can do...

What I’m curious about is where the ghost of Bon came from , because I feel like the scene where he gets scanned by the animatronic was the first time he possessed it. Has he possessed something before because he seems like he knew what he’s talking about

Yeah, I don't think they explicitly meant not committing suicide being an act of cowardice, but rather Felix never being able to commit to anything, and that just being another example. But a good disclaimer nonetheless.
I also think that mat may have meant that Felix attempt/ideation of suicide makes him a coward since he doesn't want to face the reality of what he's done

I dunno. i think phrasing it as “those kids” makes them sound innocent and perfect regardless whereas saying “my kids” centres Jack more, and comes off as like they’re important because of their relationship to Jack.
I feel like GTLive has become slightly more unhinged since matpat's retirement and I'm loving it
23:23 I really love the writing of this little speech because it honestly sounds like something you would get out of interrogation footage of a murderer. The narcissism, the continuous woes me attitude, and the mourning of his own lost benefits is extremely realistic imo.

What if 'Bon' is more a figurative spirit than a literal one? Susan's death is some time after the news was delivered to Jack, so it is possible that with the heightened emotions and tension between staff around this time, as well as the paranormal activity surrounding the spirits of Edd and Molly, that perhaps a spirit representative of Jack's ambitions and goals materialized, hence why they have no actual name. Bon and all of the mascots are close to the Waltens, as Rosemary herself designed them, so perhaps its goal is something to do with bringing the characters to life, but in a twisted realistic sense of possession rather than a determined businessman's dream of a family friendly animatronic burger joint. Idk, though, it's just an idea. We'll have to wait for the next one!

I watch this show called "Dead Files," and one of the hosts, Amy, is like a medium (whether or not she actually is, is besides the point) she says that the spirits or beings that she runs into a lot are not always dead folk, but can be literally embodiments of emotions, trauma or memories, it can be as simple as a specific scene from someone's life, not necessarily their soul. Which is actually pretty fascinating to think about, whether or not it's real, the concept itself is interesting.
Video 83 of asking Mat to play “The Unfinished Swan”. It gives more story to one of the characters in “What Remains of Edith Finch”.
That would be fun to watch

I can see how some people even now think "bon" is Jack but then again, Jack has an accent. The "bon" spirit doesn't.
Also the Bon spirit has a calculated malice and charisma that neither Jack nor Felix possess

i personally like to think that the "spirit" within bon is a manifestation of jack's anger, considering the fact that we can safely assume the car crash was the catalyst for everything means it's entirely possible.

I like to think that bon is a manifestation of either jack or Felix’s emotions surrounding the company and the twins.
Bon could also be the more vengeful half of the twins, having split itself from them. That could explain why the twins are very colorful, he’s monochrome, and Susan is in between.
But i think Walten is gonna go with Bob being an entity Jack accidentally summoned while attempting to locate the twins souls. And him going missing was supposed to be what made the killings stop cause Jack gave his life to protect Sophie. But that didn’t work so she was drugged and the finale will be her and bon’s final encounter.
Regardless of what he does, I’m loving the series and his storytelling has been good enough that I’ll enjoy wherever he takes it.

Always love the banter before getting into it properly. It's still clearly a video but it's also candid and more personal, we just get to see these two goofing off for a few minutes in a genuine way.

I think it might be a weird mix of "the kids are bon" theory. When the kids are in wonderland, they don't seem like anything that we see anywhere else in the series. They seem like even though they are in this horrible situation, they are aware of things happening and still try to do the right thing. It also seems like they are not angry or anything at felix, or the world around them. What if "Bon" is more of a manifestation of their negative emotions? it could make sense, but mainly due to the limited interactions we have with the children while they are dead. Also, in the previous theory, MatPat uses the holiday specials as a stand in for things we were not aware of such as charles' possible position in the company. In the holiday specials, the stand ins for Bon are more mythical(for lack of a better term) than the others. In Boozoo's ghosts, Bon's stand in is literally called Mortality, and the Pumpkin Rabbit also gives off this eerie otherworldy vibe. I think it might be possible that Martin wanted us to recognize this pattern and have us question why Bon wasn’t this way. i think this episode provides the answer is that he was
I would like to recommend playing a nancy drew game. Especialy now that they are making a small arg for their next game. They are detective point and click games. I would specifically recommend the ghost of Thornton hall. It's an amazing game, and I would love to see your reaction to it.😊
