I guess someone taught gullah to the actors in Hollywood way back starting in the early 30's when it was being spoken in movies that are readily available today online for viewing.
    Amazing right?
    SIDE NOTE:
I was born and raised on "gullah" island.
    Funny thing...
never heard anyone speak "gullah" there until a book was written and the word "gullah" was used in it, and 2 decades later "gullah" started making TONS OF MONEY through marketing. Then folks started speaking it. Ain't dat'uh hoot!???
    Anywhooooo...
I guess someone taught those Hollywood actors gullah at the start of talking movies.
    Seriously...that's amazing.
    And yes...I'm fluent in "gullah".
So...trust me, there's no misunderstanding what you're saying.
    😂
    OH...
    one more fact...
I've actually held one of Dr. Buzzards haint roots.
    Fact...not fiction.
