Is This Game Trying To Kill Me: Preface is coming to Steam on May 16th: store.steampowered.com/app/28...
#IsThisGameTryingToKillMe - Hry
Games that try to kill you in creative ways with creative death animations is almost a lost art at this point.
I remember how big of a deal it was when Resident Evil 4 came out. "Did he just... get his head ripped off by a chainsaw?"
@@Crocogator That's one of my favorite games of all times and it is the main reason Dead Space 1 is the way it is which is another game I love with really creative death animations.
I like the aspect of “interact with something in the game, the outside changes” dynamic. Kinda what I hoped inscription would be more of.
It was inspired by Inscription
15:37 A deadly game is a beast. It RAMS into you, takes a byte out of you, but never enough to kill you right away. It's a port-tunistic killer.
In our lifetime we usually only get one death animation and it's usually lame. Gaming has always been the answer to this problem.
This is a standalone prologue/prequel for the full "Is This Game Trying To Kill Me?" game which is due for release in about 6-8 months time. It's got clever game-within-a-game puzzles and plenty of fun ways to die!
Ok
You really have to pay attention to your environment to solve these puzzles.
Also, most games try to kill you.
“You don’t think about continuing your journey in such a downpour, do you?”
Well… that’s actually a great idea.
*Jump out the window and run away screaming*
"Oh, don't worry, I have an umbrella. But thank you for the offer."
"...That's not really what I-"
**already walking away into the night, humming merrily**
This one definitely looks interesting; IDK about the horror theme, but I like the idea of puzzles with the game and external worlds interacting with each other.
"Is This Game Trying To Kill Me? - A Horror Game Where a Game is Trying to Kill You in Creative Ways!"
Well I guess that answers that question
Dude! Pick that cheese up! Talk about rude.
...waitaminute, I'd recognize those snails anywhere. This is by the One More Dungeon devs. Neat!
The game was, in fact, trying to kill them
6:21 that was a cheesy joke of a payment
2:14 I think he spiked your drink. With spikes or something...
Now I'm really craving some cheese, gotta join the snurch (snail church)
Man these intros are phenomenal 😮
that floor tile segment was really cool
I haven't watched videos from your channel in a while but your channel is great for finding even more new horror games lol so I am back
Kinda reminded Inscription for me. Great game, thanks!!
Tbh I’ve been enjoying the „game within a game” niche in horror games
That antagonist guy looks awesome. The art style is great ! Just the right amount of cartooney/pixels.
I feel sorry for the boar
14:55 I REJECT MY HUMANITY
I loved It! Remember me Inscryption,
Reminds me of what Inscryption pretended that it was going to be, before abruptly dropping the core mechanic and literally forcing the player to play a terrible gameboy CCG for several hours.
What a great intro.
Happy 666k subs
Thank you very much! I'm 100 away from 666,666! :)
Really clever and fun game.
Nice intro!
Is that denden muschi cosplaying as a the pope!?
kinda wish the deaths in the 'real world' corresponded to how you died in the game
kinda reminds me of Janitor Bleeds
Hey dude can u try felvidek? It's a game where u play as a drunk knight and it's kinda short so idk hope you'll try it out
I remember seeing the trailer for it. Is it in English?
now that you've mentioned it, i really hope abg considers felvidek in the future. the dev deserves more attention for their game
@@TheDweeb002 ye they made the english version of it
@@very_tired_child true I personally love the game
more likes more love for you awe
I'm not crazy chat is that the snail that looks like the snail phone from One Piece.
Honestly, I was half expecting Sierra-level death traps. It's both reassuring and a little disappointing.
I still have horrible flashbacks to that bridge from Kings Quest 2, but...
it would have been funny to see how many people skipped over a flight of stairs and immediately fell to their deaths.
Inscryption 2.0
Im not 100% sure but I think the game is trying to kill you
Thanks for the heads-up, I wasn't sure! :)
TIL snails like cheese.
I'm conflicted on this one. Horror generally isn't my genre, but I really like game-within-a-game puzzles.
Those bombs are 9 tiles, so I can see multiple safe spots. But good game otherwise
ABG: It megahertz.
Monster: YOU THOUGHT, N-.
