I'm from Somerset (10 miles away from Taunton) and love the Germans :)
@@carolinesconcertvids860 It's very sad that we can't travel ... I miss my friends in Taunton. Best wishes from Hamburg 💗
Well thank you :))
I was Born in Taunton, really need to visit there again soon
I’m from Somerset 💚 Grew up on the outskirts of Taunton & went to school in Wellington. I’ve lived in other parts of the UK & travelled much of the world. Now I live in Australia, but I miss Somerset a lot, the beautiful hills & the lovely, down to earth people. 🥰 My mum was buried in one of those eco coffins!
Wellington gang
You had the Best idea, get away from the U.K!
Although I’m from the North I much prefer the south, I find the people much nicer.
Lots of northern people have a chip on their shoulders.
@@YanksandBritsProductions West Yorkshire here .
Come back for a visit, I’ll get thee a zyder in❤️
I used to live in Wellington Somerset.
Used to fly around the bloody Wellington monument in my ultralight, nearly hit it one day because I was giving my mates the finger .
Great place to live.
I work in Bristol but have always lived in North-East Somerset, and yeah it's a really amazing place to be. I'm not that close to Glastonbury, a good thirty minutes away, but have spent a lot of time there as my father was in a nursing home there before he passed. I miss him a lot, but wouldn't have had it any other way. If you've never been, it's worth spending time there at least once. Thanks for making this video.
Was werking in Lincolnshire in the seventies and a bloke making a delivery ask could one of us travel to Somerset to pick up a caravan. My hand was up like a lite as I just wanted to here that accent.
I have been exploring my genealogy & recently discovered my ancestors left Somerset in the 1600’s for America. Now I am looking to learn more about their home and where I came from ❤ Thank you for sharing!
I live in Somerset born and bred, where abouts did they come from? I’ll help you if I can.
Wonder I'd this may be related to the Monmouth rebellion
My ancestor as well! Richard Sawtell left Aller Somersetshire in 1636.
Somerset, best county in England. 👍
Stowell bloodline here😁Emigrated in 1634 to U.S.A.Thank you for making this video🥰♥️
Richard Sawtell, 1636. You got me by 2 years!
Hi From Arizona, I miss Somerset a lot.
This Brit is from the North but I much prefer the south …….I used to live in West Virginia for years, Wow I miss the states!
@@YanksandBritsProductions used to live in Lynchburg VA it is a dump, bro why in the hell did u go back to that shite hole of a country?
Fitting name for Arizona
It's weird how Somerset accents vary from place to place.
I'm from north Somerset, while this video isn't gibberish I find it fascinating how different it is to my accent.
I also think it might be a generation thing as well.
I’m from Buxton, I love the way southern people talk, the accent is Fantastic!
I much prefer the south and the people, if I can find a place to rent in the south I’m leaving Buxton as fast as my legs will take me …. lol
I am North Somerset as well!😊
yes, youtube and tv/movies have resulted in dreadful homogenization of dialect
My great-grandmother was a war bride in WWII who moved to the U.S. Her mother's family was just about entirely from Merriott, so that's my distant connection to this lovely countryside
My Mum and Dad lived in Merriott and my Daughter spent a lot of her childhood there, Lots of happy memories 🙂
I was searching for a video to show my friend a Somerset accent. Ended up really enjoying the video. Thanks ☺️
My ancestors came from Priddy in Somerset. They emigrated to upstate NY in the 1850s. Hello!
I miss Somerset. Stayed outside Taunton, visited the 7 Sister hill with the wild horses a few years before the pandemic started. Will definitely go back when it is over.
You got a great rhythm with your editing. I hope you're still doing it! This character piece is really good :)
Great people in a great video, enjoyed watching it.
Excellent video - you deserve way more subscribers
Great video, enjoyed that. Keep doing them you’ve got a great skill 👍
Ohhh this made my heart sing 🥰
I’m in the Merchant Navy.
Born is Somerset, lived most of my life in TA4.
Travelled the world.
Love coming home.
A beautiful film that captures the essence of the county.
Yes I bet that’s great in many ways, but living in many places especially in the North is very depressing.
Then again I have lived and worked abroad, America for years.
I’m planning on heading south, and then back to the states at some point ……much prefer the people in the south to the North where I was born & raised.
Loved this
Just traced my ancestors moved from here to Wyoming lol
Rip Mike, gone but never forgotten.

what Tolkien wrote about
Any relation to Julian, of Somerset Cider Brandy fame?
Yep
Born and raised in Somerset me.
Are places expensive to rent there?
I’m from the horrendous north but I really like the south, people and love the accent.
@Yanks & Brits depends where you go
Not sure if you still need this advice tho
The villages can get extremely expensive, with some being some of the most expensive outside of London
The towns and larger villages are more affordable, with the cheapest most likely Bridgwater though I can't confirm that.
I can confirm that bridgwater is currently the cheapest. There's an interestingly big gap between rent price and sale price in Somerset compared to other Counties in the south west though, not quite sure why because lots of historical farmland is now being developed into housing estates.
Yer old boy thur ooh liked iz zyderr... e knows wher e's to.... other ones not so much
My mate Murray lives in Taunton.
That's right, Mr Numpton! Glorious country.
What’s that Irish bloke doing in there?
