More money for vaccines and outreach programs means better health outcomes for children.
Since 2017, PATH has played a key role in advocating for increased immunization financing in Uganda. Drawing from decades of global experience in vaccine research and advocacy, our teams have partnered with civil society organizations and other key stakeholders to strengthen their human resource capacity, conduct technical research, and engage with communities about the importance of immunization.
In 2019, the government of Uganda increased immunization financing from 9B Ugx to 21B Ugx-a significant step towards the realization of the country's vision of a population free of vaccine-preventable diseases.
