I watched the whole video on the other channel and then his videos started coming into video suggestions. Went and watched few videos on his channel, many things make sense to me. Now I've found at least two helpful channels with great information that are excellent in my journey to a secure attachment. 🙏🏻 I still have a long way to go, but now I feel calmer about the process than before.

My question is though, because i am getting so many messages from social media and relationship coaches... what about the ideas that what is for you will treat you sacred, and effort reflects interest, and you cant push the right person away by speaking your heart. Do these not apply for those expressing avoidant attachment???

Why do people with great family dynamics and upbringing still become avoidant?

      Feeling inadequate to measure up.

From what I've seen, a string of bad relationships, or one long term horrendously bad relationship, can cause one to become avoidant as well. They get the idea that relationships aren't safe.

With my situation, his family never or rarely had tough/serious topics brought up in his upbringing and is being adults he has a hard time raising whatever he is concerned about.

That’s an illusion. If the upbringing and family were capable of truly empowering the human being, they would be securely attached.
The fact that your perception thinks it was a great family doesn’t actually mean it is and it doesn’t take a persons inner feelings into consideration.
Just because it seems ok looking from the outside in, doesn’t mean it is.
Very few people do a good job of parenting. Many people raise themselves once they’re old enough to want more for themselves.

Lots of outwardly looking great families. If you were with these family's 24/7 you probably see the reasons.
