Awesome. My grandpa was in the NAVY for thirty five years, and he also served on Canada's last aircraft carrier: HMCS Bonaventure. I've always wanted to be in the NAVY, and I think I'm going to try before it's too late. "Ready, Aye, Ready!"

I loved every minute of my career in the navy... I hope you do too. Just beware there is a lot of down and quiet time, not all of it is high adrenaline time.

Great video. This is how you promote the CAF.

The RCN maybe? As in Royal Canadian Navy, CAF is for Canadian air farce.... i mean Force.

Oh boy! I remember the damage control exercises in this facility, and I loved it very much. Did all they show up here.... but the uniform was less cool back then. The flooding part was fun, but the fire one was much more serious and instructive.

1931, Ukrainian Canadians comprised 2.2 per cent of Canada's population. Today, there are roughly 1.36 million Ukrainian Canadians, comprising nearly 4 per cent of the population and making them the largest Slavic group in Canada. There was likely sporadic immigration of Ukrainians to Canada as early as 1812

I'll bet you were too tough to wear eye and ear pro as well. Or, God forbid, a respirator.
