This recipe is the most like the actual dessert at Disneyland. The "Grey Stuff" sits on a lemon cookie (with a rose picture on it), then a small red velvet cupcake, raspberry and a raspberry jam on top of the cupcake, and then the creamy part and edible pearls on top. It is the one thing I love to have in the park each time I get to go. Each layer is different and delicious. Thank you Popsugar.

I go to Disneyland every month, regular at the hotel. I tried the grey stuff back in March and it was pretty good, but the best dessert at Disneyland is the Cinnamon Roll at the Jolly Holiday Bakery :)

I suppose you could substitute oreo pudding to make it actually grey- the chocolate pudding makes it brown as opposed to "Grey"

the grey stuff is not a sweet pastry. if you look at a screenshot of the plate it is very obviously a plate of savory hors d’oeuvres. The gray stuff is likely Foie Gras Pate or Foie Gras mousse.

According to the website and menu at Disney, the grey stuff is actually a white chocolate ganache. So I’m assuming it’s that with some Oreo crumbs or just straight up food coloring lol

Ugh. The "grey stuff" is most likely Foie Gras or Pate, which is made from fattened duck or goose liver.
In regards to the movie, yes, it likely was. However the "Grey Stuff" at Disneyland/Disney World is a dessert similar to this. :)
