This was extremely helpful. Thank you so very much. 👍👍👍
You're very welcome!
Excellent, thank you.
Your welcome. Many more videos on the way!
Thank you so much!! Very helpful video!
You welcome - All the videos by category are at thefrugalfactor.com/
Thank you!
Thank you for all this helpful information! I have been looking everywhere for it. I am so happy to have found you!
Glad I could help. Lots of videos on the channel out our van builds. I can help with anything about the RAM promaster.
@@FrugalFactor Wonderful! I will be get the new super high extended length 3500 Ram promaster next spring. I am building it out myself to live in it. I have no experience in this field so I will reach out to you if I have questions if that is okay? You info is so informative it is giving me more confidence!!
@@laurelanderson-rostami109 You can always reach out on CZcams or the website TheFrugalFactor I am working one a Van Build guide that will be free and available to download on the website when its complete. Take your time and enjoy the build process. Planning the layout and features is one of the most important things. Look at our Van Tour videos to see the features of our vans for ideas.
@@FrugalFactor Wonderful!! I will continue to look at your great videos and website. I am very grateful for you, your knowledge and all the precious time you are investing to help others! I hope to put up videos on CZcams once I figure out what video equipment to get and get started on the build. I bought a super high promaster 3500 EXT which is suppose to come sometime next spring. I will refer to you and give you credit on my channel for all the knowledge I use from your channel.
Even though I have a 136wb, I would have loved to have this information in my planning stages! Thank you for sharing :)
BTW, for tall folks who are trying to figure out the best way to insulate the ceiling without losing head space, remember you only have to worry about conductive and radiant heat in that area. One way to keep the interior head-room is by filling that 1" space with spray foam or Thinsulate glued directly to the metal skin, then cover it with 3/16" luan sheets to stop the conduction. Radiant heat can be mitigated by ensuring your roof rack has boards across any space not covered by solar panels - this creates shade from the sun no matter where you go.
Hope that suggestion helps.
I agree, but for the ceiling I will use 1" Polyiso, and will have a large roof rack/deck shading most of the vehicle. All that in future video's, stay tuned in :-)
We are looking at the Promaster 236 and finding information on the details is daunting to say the least, if not impossible. Thank you for taking the time to provide these and your other video on "Options" and all your videos which I'm slowly going through... Aggravating my wife! She doesn't appreciate research.
Not sure what a Promaster 236. I think you mean 136) We are converting a Ram Promaster 156 Extended. The 136 would be a tight fit for full time living. OK, for weekend trips etc. Be sure to have a floor plan, and maybe tape it out in your garage. That's how I started!
What was the floor to ceiling dimension?
Thank you very much for this video. It is very helpful. I am toying with the 159 WB (not extended). How much of a difference is this 159 WB different from your Extended Version in terms of Under and Roof dimensions?
The difference in length is about 14". This is directly behind the wheel wells. But as I say in many of my video's an inch in a van is like a foot in your house! I suggest planning your van build full size. Build a model in your garage or basement.... see my mock up video czcams.com/video/-0NE2U1JoXM/video.html
Hello, could you tell me please, i think your driver side is right side when sitting, is that correct. Because in Canada we are Left side so i imagine i have to flip the drawing. Thank you
I am in Florida, my driver side is on the left.
Hi do you have wheel well dimensions?
35" x 17" x 9" minimum inside dimensions.
@@FrugalFactor Great, thank you very much! So 35" wide, 17" high, and 9" from the wall?
@@user-cr6ki4qs4y Yes, this post has a link to a dimensioned drawing for the entire van. You may find it useful in your planning. thefrugalfactor.com/ram-promaster-dimension/
I've been looking everywhere for these dimensions! Great job! One dimension I am missing is the front seats from side to side & the dimension between the front 2 seats. Would you be able to measure these for me? Thanks again!
At the bottom of the seats the distance is 16 inches. That is exact, and touches the plastic cover on each seat. If you wanted to place a rigid piece of wood on the floor between the seats 16 inches would be the width. The closest is between the armrests at 9.5 inches. If your seats have armrests!
@@FrugalFactor Perfect! Thank you so much for taking the time to do this for me. I need this for a walk-through for my design. I've heard the floor in this location needs to be strengthened. Thank you again.
@@msspgj The floor is unusual like a hard memory foam. We placed a rigid board between the seats for more support. There is a panel between the seats for access to the gas tank. You may use that access if you install a gas heater. Also, there is a drop off just behind the seats. That is shown in this video - czcams.com/video/GEeXinUX0Us/video.html
Americans, when will you join the rest of the world and use the metric system? aren't you tired of those 7/16" and 7/8" ?
Well, I am happy with either the metric or standard system. I would use metric if the parts were available and the same cost. Here metric nuts, bolts etc. are at a much higher cost.
