@@jamesbarry9477 This thing is quite simple. With Martinez and lately Evans being injured, the defense has been marshalled by your truly Maguire. Casemiro played some of his best football for Man Utd when Martinez was availble to step up into the midfield, a privilege he hasn't enjoyed this season, plus the sold the hardest worker in the midfield (Fred). The English media would never say that because they bought Mount who almost hasn't kicked a ball all season. If you are a true Utd fan, back the manager. He won't have injuries for ever. And if INEOS were to back him and the new team coming in, he will turn things around in the next two seasons. Besides Van Gaal, Ten Hag has been the most steadfast and consistent Utd Manager after Sir Alex.

There have been some decent performances from this team this season when things click, after a good season last year with a much fitter squad. They have a smaller squad with a far worse youth setup to rely on yet are in a comparable position to Man Utd and are the bookies favourites for 6th, look at the goal difference, goals scored and XG for Newcastle compared to Man Utd.
3 years ago Newcastle we’re fighting relegation, they are now probably expected to challenge for a champions league place each season. Man Utd have spent a similar amount to Newcastle but already had a team in the Champions League, so from a higher level they’ve spent the same and are now on par, that’s atrocious squad management in comparison and ETH has contributed to that.
Newcastle are a much happier club with players acting like a team and trying. How many of Newcastles current squad were “Championship” quality players who played under Bruce? That’s the difference between Newcastle and Man Utd, Newcastle for all of their spending still shouldn’t be able to match Man Utd, Spurs or Chelsea because half of their squad are still Bruce era players, they do because of good management, positive focus and hard work. Most Newcastle fans understand this too and haven’t turned on Howe, some still have though.

Without intending offense, the discussion about style of play should be halted or avoided by pundits. This is because fixating on style overlooks crucial factors. Firstly, Manchester United has had players from four different managers playing under one manager, making immediate style changes unrealistic within a season. A manager requires players who fit his systems. Currently, Manchester United has had managers with different play styles, akin to trying to turn a frog into a chicken or a chicken into a goat-it's impractical. To play like lions, players with a lion's mentality are needed. United's success hinges on structuring everything according to the system and acquiring players accordingly. Otherwise, success is unlikely. United's current position reflects decisions made by owners, not just managers.
Adding to this, Manchester United has faced 60 different injuries this season alone, and the season isn't over yet. This is bound to affect performance and explains why replicating last season's third position is challenging. Blaming the manager is unfair when his players come from diverse systems and backgrounds."

Everyone is aware of the injuries and other issues at the club, everyone is aware United have been trash for a decade, everyone is aware we are in the early stages of yet another rebuild which doesn't happen in two seasons anyway, everyone is aware we did have a good season when we weren't plundered by injuries, everyone is aware despite playing terrible football almost all teams with "better style of play" are below United on the table and none of those teams are in an FA Cup final. But yes lets turn a blind eye on all these factors and pin it on one single individual who has suddenly been labelled as incompetent and is the reason for all this. It's the easier and more convenient option, because you need to use your head a lot more to factor in all other aspects, which is quite challenging for some people.

And also, not being able to change things in the middle of a game to close it out and bring the points home while leading. We've dropped so many points this season from winning positions that nobody who knows the original Man United but hasn't been following events the past year would believe you when you tell them this team dropping points like that is Man United. People forget the horrible state of the squad he picked up last season. Without an adequate operational structure and so many injuries EtH has done a remarkable job in reviving the squad. Still he should not have signed Eriksen, Mount, Antony, Malacia and Onana. ManUnited is like a huge vessel and changing the course of the "Titanic" was never supposed to be an easy, straight-forward and smooth trip. Regardless a huge write-off will be inevitable this Summer transfer window as an agressive clean-up of the current squad will be needed. Getting rid of EtH will not change the toughness of ManUnited's bumpy road to greatness. Continuity will eventually lead to full recovery. I am curious what Sir Ratcliffe will decide as in football media tend to be short-sighted and extremely agressive.

Yes, he should. Stop with your ridiculiua agenda.
You obviously didn't see Ferguson's first few years, or Klopp's, or Arteta's, or even Pep's first 2.
There are United players in this squad who are on their SIXTH manager (Rashford), 5th (Mctominay), 4th (Bruno, Lindelof, Maguire)....all these players have been failures for up to a decade!
Despite this, Ten Hag in his second season has got 3rd and CL qualification, silverware (Carabao Cup), 2 FA Cup finals, is the quickest ever United manager to 50 PL wins, and has the highest ever United manager win ratio...but people think he's the problem!?
Ralph Rangnick told us all that "Open Heart Surgery" was needed, and suggested that 13-14 players needed changing. Jose has said that there are still players there that he wanted to get rid of. Ole has intimated about the problems he had with the squad...yet still people think the position today is Ten Hag's fault.
As long as managers are forced to play with the failed players of past managers, this club will continue to fall behind.
Rashford, Bruno, Shaw, Maguire, Mctominay, Dalot, Lindelof, Martial, Bissaka.....ALL have to be shown the exit so that a proper culture and style can be built with players who have intelligence and a strong mentality.
Even Garnacho has started taking on board the toxic nature of these players! He gets substituted after spending 70 mins running up blind alleys ,then scuttles off the social media to "like" posts criticizing his substitution. No Arsenal, Liverpool, or 115 player would feel entitled enough to do that.
Ten Hag, and some of the young players (Mainoo, Kambwala, and Garnacho when he's not being immature) are the only bright spots.

He wasn't playing the exact style he wanted, he's trying to do it this season and there's growing pains. But at some point you need the players to learn the system you want. There's a lack of IQ and technical skill in general, in part to all the injuries, and in part to years of poor signs before he came.
You're right, we need a clear out but that's gonna take more than a couple transfer windows. There's a process to a complete rebuild and no one has the patience to see it through. The second it doesn't go well we call for heads and a revolving door of managers. I'd what people think is going to happen in 1.5 years after inheriting a complete dumpster fire

This is disgusting. A recap of the season for Man Utd:
    60 total Injuries this season
Had to deal with Sancho’s Attics
Only CB available for last few games was Maguire
No impact Subs available or at least comparable to anyone above them in the table
Kids from youth team to fill the subs
Had to play 3 games in succession with a game going in extra time
Had to deal with Journalists who hate the manager from the start (Personal Vendetta)
Chelsea and Newcastle have worse seasons but are not under so much scrutiny.
Fake reports about ten hag and the players
Some players aren’t bothered or gave up
I can go on to be honest but I rest my case. No more Player FC!

I just want to see an unbiased and honest assessment of ten hag second season. Personally I’m not happy with our season but we have to be realistic. He’s had a mountain of injuries, pathetic medical staff and almost no support from the glazer. I don’t believe ten hag is bad manager after his time. I’m neither in or out, all I want is that he is judged fairly. The players have to take responsibility too, many of them have been very bad this season.

Ten Hag should not leave the club, he gas brought the club far, he should be given a chance, hope things will patch up. Players being injured is not his fault, referee being unfair to the club is his fault either so why would he be removed, he was there when he was needed, it unfair if he will asked to leave
