The train episode is big brain. It’s a metaphor for how Dan Harmon writes all of his shows. That episode specially follows the structure he uses to a tee. Which is what the circle was when Rick was telling morty about the train they were on. I understand the concept but even I don’t get the entire episode even after several watches. Loaded with info
I still love the dragon episode for that wizard. Dan harmon plays him so good.

It's really hard to read chat, react, and watch at the same time. No one get everything the first time they watch something anyway. As long as he's still enjoying the show, it's ok!
After Morty was bitten by the snake he says "I can see the Black Mountain." It must have sounded so generic that I ignored it originally, but recently it's been a recurring afterlife reference in Star Trek: Lower Decks which I love, so I now noticed Morty saying it for the first time. It was too weird to ignore but still sounds like a pop culture reference I'm ignorant of. I looked it up, the reason is likely that Mike McMahan wrote for Rick and Morty then and also created Lower Decks. I was sure season 4 of Rick and Morty predates Lower Decks by a lot but it was actually a few months before it premiered, I realize the Black Mountain bits were a more recent season. He also created Solar Opposites which mentioned Black Mountain once. I shouldn't be surprised but I'm just learning all this now. McMahan won an Emmy for the Pickle Rick episode! What the heck is Black Mountain otherwise from though? Is it just something he made up?

@@Scootx Just a heads up, you're now in the decline of the show. It started with inconsistency's in season 3, and the characters start to fall starting season 4. Maybe in the future if you dislike it, there are many videos dissecting the issues.

Nothing in that episode mattered, it's just a bunch of random tales with Rick and Morty tying them together while they try to break free of the anthology cycle.

I recommend not watching season 7 live on stream when u get there, I'm not gonna spoil, but its not that good. So you should honestly wait until the full season has released, or just not watch it at all.

I dipped from Season 4 of Rick & Morty. That's how bad it got for a time. And I watch modern Simpsons so you know this shit got bad. Putting the horny dragon ep right before the snake subplot told entirely through hissing was just begging people to bail from the show. It's like they got full of themselves and thought "we can make any 'old shit and our stupid fans wlll watch it". Just reeked of arrogance.
Thankfully they grew out of this phase and started putting effort back into things around Season 6. (But not before they had Morty fertilize one of Summer's eggs to create an incest baby. Clearly they had to do that first.)
