Cool build and glad your enjoying the process, question i ask is it actually use able as a dirt bike anymore with the power you have? or more a track monster. I would get rid of the BOV but that's me i tend to not run them or good alternative maybe bypass valve and put the pressure back into the intake/exhuast
I run a PCv with my nitrous can am as well. I was curious what u are referring to when u say u are at ur limitations with the set up ? Over 300 horses have been made on a Rotax v twin on a turbo build . I personally make 143 on spray . With 250% adjustment avail for fuel and timing tables I would think u could do just about anything lol . And I'm not disagreeing with ur statement I'm genuinely just asking where your limitation is because my next step is a turbo build
Try adding fuel when retarding the ignition, this should produce bigger flames. I will try the same on my 701 when I got an exhaust without catalytic converter ;) (PCV just allowes +/- 20 degrees of spark advance adjustment)
Very nice man....I built a side by side with an R6 engine, and now I'm co considering a turbo.....my issue is compression and tuning.....I'm looking into that programmer.....nice work
@@The_StreetSweeper ok tnx alot. Would bee awsome to see a video from Your map. And some explaning. Go through the ingnition map. And the gassoline map.
So you can clock the output housing so you don’t have to have a 90off the hop make that more straight put a intercooler on they have intercooler the same size as the rad on the opposite side clear some space put the intercooler on get cooler air so you can get a bit more boost I have a power commander 5 for my crf250l went to get auto tuner for it and didn’t want to cut up stock exaust so I’m gona be doin a turbo set hopefully I can learn some things from your set up
Yo brooo U should see what it would take to do a rear mounted front facing turbo mounted like under the rear guard but close to the motor itself ??? If ya know what I mean, then U might be able to call it a sleeper LOLs hahhaha
Thanks man! Appreciate it! Typically you wouldn’t want a muffler post turbo (can create back pressure) but I did play around with the idea of routing a downpipe to where the stock muffler resides. This was more so of a “Quick n Dirty” setup just to make sure the functionality was there. Going forward this setup will be significantly revised in regards to fit/finish.
@@outfrontracing9526 yeah😂😂😂 I might actually just use a single slide carb... EFI would be ideal but to buy and it to where I am is just crazy expensive
Yeh, cool. If you look on my channel I turboed a klx650 I did it about 4 years ago, it ran but not to my satisfaction, so it’s waiting till I get motivation again to re rig it. One of my problems was the turbo was too small. I see you have what looks like a good sized unit there. Just found your channel today so I’ll look for more vids on your bike when I get a moment. You sure seem to have power there man.
Not long. It’s a 4 stroke fuel injected engine at the end of the day. Single cylinder stuff is a taddddd bit different. All in all though still the same as a multi cylinder SFI engine.
Keeps the turbocharger spooled so there is no turbo "lag", used mostly on rally cars due to their requirement for instant throttle response. There, some classic Aussie lingo!!!!!!
@@xfdfff2620I would imagine no good!, as the point of the system is to gain throttle response and minimise lag at the expense of fuel consumption and wear it would be a bit of a backwards step to map the engine to run at low revs I believe, better just to run a smaller turbo!!!!
I dream of having a bike like this
what for.... ??? he doesn't dare to ride it, don't you see ? :-)))))
I do not lol
I dream of having a bike😪
I probably beat him with my son's SXF250, at the end it's always the guy on top that makes the bike quick or not.
Bone stock is good enough
This thing is bad ass! Crazy how good it works
you should try a diverter valve instead of the blow off. turbosmart makes nice ones
Bruh when I seen this title I started laughing this shit keeps getting better 🤟🏻
That's a badass bike man , nice job

ohh thats crazy 💪💪loved 👌👌
Massive respect bro New sub from England UK 💪😎👌
use the space in front of the crank behind the wheel. cooling air, skid plate protectable. make it ride reliable. handle a few get offs.
the timing is sick!

Thats great😍
Bro i hope you warmed that thing up before testing your anti lag! Crazy setup i love it
I find myself to be armed when I'm depressed 😂😂😂 0:40
Nice bro!
yo your bike is sick bro
thing is crazy man
I wonder how this would work if you hooked up the map switch to the clutch being pulled in. It should keep the turbo spooled during gear changes
Couldn't you use the clutch switch that usually gets used to start motorcycles for such a purpose or rather something similar
@@s.a.f.r.a6403 yeah exactly. Most street bikes have them. The drz400s one is pretty streamline
That is savage would love to turbo my Ktm
Not telling you to sell, but if you were to sell what would be the price?
Great setup bro! waiting to see it on dyno. Anyway that turbo runs journal bearing or ball bearing? It looks like spin easier than gt15
likes your comment but doesnt answer lol

What do you actually plan on using the antilag for?
After watching this I might just turbo my 450 rmz and get some crazy power out of it😂😂
Turbo bikes are nothing new but this is the first Turbo dirt bike I've seen.
i race a stockish yz450 id love to know the power difference haha
What is the turbo brand/model
Do you use boost afr mapping on the powercommander? Would you like to share Your afr Numbers on different boost? I am building turbo on my ktm 690.
I keep the mapping pretty aggressive up until 4-5 pounds of boost then taper from 12.5 to 11.5 from 5psi to 15 psi

What does that red button do again
How many psi does it makes?
Crocs w the sport mode on😂😂
Favorite shoe to ride in tbh😓

I want to see dyno numbers compared to NA 450’s…
Nice setup, how much timing did you pull and fuel did you add in the pc5?
Actually I didn’t add any fuel at all for the AntiLag map. I think I only poor maybe around 8 to 10° of timing
@@The_StreetSweeper Thanks for the info, do you know if it's ok to run anti lag on launches? Only reason i ask is ifll burn up the clutch

Hi I love this bike

Ford Ecoboost turbo LOL

Just wondering why didn’t you run the charge tube directly to the throttle body it would be a lot cleaner
Because that’s not the correct way to do it lol. A large plenum is DETRIMENTAL to successfully turbocharging a single cylinder.
Is that a typo? I thought a big plenum was essential for turboing a single.

Dam I want one so bad
Quite a large turbo for 450cc displacement
What, no spark arrestor? Hehe.
Badass super moto
You should do it on a 2 stroke one day amagen have powerband + boost that would be insane
2 strokes can't be turboed well but can be supercharged (the Detroit diesels use the supercharger for positive crankcase pressure not power)
This is so stupid... It's perfect.
