The cuts of her flailing around is the most 2000’s editing I’ve ever seen
It gets its job done tho its pretty spooky
Tinsle & CO not really, it’s hilarious
I think it's just obnoxious and adds nothing to the scene
tehc man right? You’re there to watch a horror movie, not a fucking spaz attack
@@elderrusty541 This is a horror movie not friends
her:acually survives
jigsaw: you weren't supposed to do that
Actually she was
@@alucardbloodyvampire6066 Are you joking?
@@yaboiwithnoname1233 technically all of them are in a way, the traps are to teach them "lessons" on their sins (things we all do like miss work, bully ect.) If they survive, jigsaw made the traps so they are beatable but not without hurting yourself or others. The traps usually correlate to what they did. If they survived they "learned their lesson" she survived and later on helped him with a different. trap (large mansion, was the girl that was thrown into syringe pit)
@@alucardbloodyvampire6066 thats the point of the series tho, "survive the challenge or you'll meet the consequences"
It's more of a you get what you get and you don't get upset thing
Jigsaw: “I don’t kill people, I give them a choice.”
Also Jigsaw: (drugs a man, puts a key to escape a trap in his stomach and tells Amanda that he’s already dead)
Technically he never killed anyone
That guy already failed his challenge. This was his punishment.
Nicolas Madrid that’s like saying i shot somebody and tell the cops that i didn’t kill them, the gun did.
@@starlytyt7260 Technically he never killed directly. It's like putting a cat inside of a box and the only way out is cutting through the box, but the cat is falling unconscious because he can't breathe properly inside the box.
Now, if the cat dies, who is at fault, the person who put the cat inside it or the cat for not being strong enough?
DrGM the person who put it inside, they knew the consequences. The man she had to cut through was okay, however, when he killed Adam. Even though he was apart of the game, he wasn’t givin any chance to win. Adams means we’re justified, he took those pictures to eat. He valued his life. Jigsaw is a murderer. He knows the consequences for putting them in a near escapable situation. He basically put them next to a time bomb, and said disarm it, knowing they can’t do it. There’s a chance they disarm it, but it’s near impossible.
The scariest thing about this franchise is not the deaths, they're expected anyways the scariest thing about Saw movies are those crazy multiangled shots of absolute panic and terror
@@_elly123 How dare you expose me (FUCKING HELP)

The trap is called reverse bear trap btw
more like: ANY MOVIE history (with the falling roof from idiana johnes i guess)
No, the needles were
The revolving shots of her flailing around in her restraints and then scrambling to rip the trap off her head is both very 2000’s and very unnerving, especially with the speed of the camera rotations.
Def very rare never see that anymore
@@LorMoeCoolerProbably wasn’t rare then. But, yeah I think it looks very cool.
The craziest shit jigsaw probably have seen is capturing a guy who wanted to die
Imagine jigsaw explaining the trap then the guy quickly activates it
I was thinking the same thing, how would he have reacted to me setting the trap and just sitting there?
But then the guy would be disappointed it lasts sixty seconds.
Nice grammar didn’t understand any of that

POV: You’ve never watched a Saw movie but you’re legitimately concerned about the people in the comments
I watched the whole series
I’ve watched them all 😌
You've got to watch saw it's pretty good at least I think so. The traps are all like puzzles and you've got to be smart about them except for saw 5, the traps were kinda obvious on how to complete but everyone was killing each other
@@forestspace5261 i liked saw 1 and 2 but saw 3 was horrible...there wasnt any games or puzzles only blood and flesh..it traumatised me for a long time
I’ve watched all the saw movies
ive always wondered why amanda had the easiest trap. With most traps they had to injure themselves, but with amandas, all she had to so was cut open another dude and find the key. No self harm necessary
True, compare that to the probably impossible razor wire maze in that movie.
It’s to show how truly nonsensical Jigsaw’s methods are. He thought he designed perfect tests for each subject but was really just making it easier for other people and harder for others.
Although I would like to add that murdering someone isn’t as easy as you think lol.
Yeah, that on top of the fact that when Amanda becomes Jigsaw, all her traps are literally impossible.
@@rud5101 killing someone to save her own life really did fuck her up
Keep in mind that he also knew Amanda. And in Saw 5, Hoffman pointed out John kept giving her more chances.
Why did the static scare the crap out of me and nothing else?

Jigsaw: Think of it like a reverse bear trap
Ah yes that makes her feel so much more comfortable
Never did I think I could describe movie editing as nu-metal but here it is
No fr it kind of reminded me of like a BMTH music video or something
This series truly makes you appreciate your life because it scares me to go to bed at night thinking that I will be abducted and end up like this does anybody else ever feel that way?
Yeah I be feeling that way sometimes too and what scares me the most is how suddenly it happens
It scares me to but jigsaw is smart with his traps you could walk in a room and not know that you might die in like 30 seconds
Yes
I was literally scared for like 2 months. Like it was living hell lol.
i first watched a saw movie when i was like 9, and it traumatized me for years. i used to have this fear, so i would try to calm myself by thinking "jigsaw doesn't hurt kids" lmao
Arguably the most iconic scene from the movie, other than the ending. This is easily the most iconic trap in the franchise as well.
this reminds me of sleep paralysis, you wake up and you realize what’s going on and know it’s going to be scary.
i hate it...always thought demons were attacking me...
@kimmyfreak200 That’s because sleep paralysis is a demonic attack. The “scientific explanation” just explains how it happens/the neurological mechanism. It doesn’t explain that metaphysical/spiritual phenomenon of what you’re witnessing. There’s a lot science doenst have the capacity to understand.
1:43 the cinematography in this scene is incredible

she was actually probably the best actor in saw 1
Fun fact: this scene is based off a short film that started the saw franchise Saw 5.0
0.5*
The short film was created as a way to kickstart funding for the movie.
Why do i torture myself to watch these videos
I like how everyone’s talking about what Karen’s see and stuff, but nobody is talking about HOW IN THE WORLD did JIGSAW GET A KEY IN THAT MANS MOUTH-
Umm idk maybe he cut him open while he was knocked out and surgically put it in there and the ? Is over the scar?? Idk that’s a good question
Dr. Gordon actually does the surgical procedure for jigsaw
@@Bingbumble true, but Gordon wasn't a jigsaw apprentice at this time. Amanda was in her trap at least five months before Lawrence was in his & Lawrence didn't become an apprentice until after he beat his game. This means the only options were that either John Kramer or Mark Hoffman ( + Logan Nelson but to be fair Jigsaw is more of a soft reboot than a continuation of i-vii so I don't really count him ) could've done it & that doesn't seem likely since neither of them had much medical experience. my best guess is that he literally just made the dude swallow the key. in SAW iv john swallows a tape so it can be discovered after he's dead without any surgical stuff, so who's to say he didn't just do the same here
@@resident_simon Gordon was never a jigsaw aprentice. He shot Adam when the time was over and didnt even kill him.
He was found by Kramer and died. Thats why he does not appear in the next two films. The real and only saw series. The ones written by the real creators.

Look around Amanda and know that I'm not lying, you'd better hurry up, live or die make your choice. Such a chilling line
My mum used to be a horror fan. Ever since she watched the first few Saw movies, she's never been able to watch horror again 😬 I'm now the new horror fan in the family, thankfully with a better stomach for these sorts of films 😂
Saw isn’t even horror though. It’s thriller. If you’re scared of blood then that’s on you
@@MagmaStress saw is more like:
wow they're passing such a bad time it gives me anxiety to think of it
Coolest thing is that they had no budget to afford two traps, so the same one Amanda wears is the one used in the mannequin demonstration. Meaning she had to wear a mask with enough force to rip her jaw and skull open if it was turned on
Edit: actually it wasn’t strong enough to rip her jaw open, just to cut her lip and maybe break some teeth at most
The one that actually did have force to injure you very badly was the one used in the short film with David

Epic. I was in high school when this came out and this remains one of the best ones from the series.
Congratulations. You're still alive.
Most people are so ungrateful to be alive, but not you. Not anymore.
- Jigsaw (John Cramer)
Just one of the reasons I love this movie is that it’s more about psychological torture than bodily torture. James Wan is certainly one of the greatest horror movie directors ever.
Should be more about targeting cults like Jehovah's witnesses who want to ruin the lives of innocent people similar to this woman
I love the way they keep the original concept and how good they adapt to this legendary clip.
While filming, the staff had to be extremely careful, because this trap was actually real
not in this movie, in the short film
yeah ok because they actually put a bear trap on shawnee smith’s head 😂
@@There6ofme They actually did, but they had it proofed so it wouldn't activate.
The directors and props team have mentioned that almost every trap ever made in the series was real, which required taking extra steps to ensure the actor remained unharmed while in the traps. Their reason for making literal death machines was because the traps had to destroy whatever prosthetics they were using for the death scenes, and it would've been too expensive to make two versions of every trap. Thus, they made one fatal version and modified it for the actor(s) involved.
@@LegionIvory idk if that's true but jesus I'd quite if I was in a movie and they told me I'd be in an actual jigsaw trap

THIS MOVIE GIVE SO MUCH NOSTALGIA
As the franchise has grown, there have been way more creative traps than this one. Still, I think this is still the one who has maybe the scene most brilliantly done. Not for the trap itself, but for the layout of the room, the lighting, the ugly lamp behind the girl, the rotating camera, the edition when she moves her head in desperation. It was done with a lot of care. And also, the fact that the scenery, the trap and the props are not as over the top as later films, makes this seem scarier as it feels more real.
