Overnight sensation Jim Carrey reprises his role as the eccentric detective in this follow-up to the runaway blockbuster Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.
Legendary pet detective Ace Ventura (Jim Carrey) returns for another adventure when he's coerced out of retirement while on a soul-searching retreat in the Himalayas. He must now retrieve an endangered sacred white bat from a village located in Africa. The sacred animal was offered up as a wedding dowry from the Wachootoo prince (Tommy Davidson) to the Wachati princess (Sophie Okonedo), and, if Ace can't track down the culprit behind the kidnapping in time, civil war will break out between the two rival tribes.

My dad used to try and embarrass me as a kid as we would drive thru a parking lot looking for a space. Popping his head out the side window and pulling off his shades yelling " if i could juuusssstt find a parking spot" or he would swerve around on the road while no one was around and say " steerings a little loose!" This movie almost didn’t happen because Jim wanted his former director Tom Shadyac from his first Ace Ventura and Liar Liar. Jim knew his line but improvised half of the movie an was concerned this new director wouldn’t like that but he did. Jim also had the monster truck come in because he thought it would be funny but didn’t tell anyone not cast crew director or producers
