Being an introvert, I love the silence, the lack of voices, the quietness of the morning. There may be lots of noise in my own head but there’s also more room to seek God. The God who is quite confusing at times but faithful and full of the grace that I need day after day. ❤

My mind is more like the birds, but I do strive to quiet it. Love the topic of silence, it's so soul nurturing! As for a group name, I favor "fellow wanderers". ("The word 'fellow' derives from the Old English feolaga which means roughly 'one who shares something' and is etymologically not gendered!") I like wanderers over "pilgrims" because we both wonder AND wander - but as I like to remember, "not all who wander are lost".

Avoiding that "uncomfortable silence" in my classroom while nurturing the silence that allows deep concentration was one of my constant challenges as a teacher. The Lord is love and forgiveness.

I agree with you John that I'm not sure "you gentle people" is the best line but I guess it's better than "you stupid people". Just sayin'.....
