Benny the Weaver

Last week, Carl Hansen & Søn paid us a visit and brought Benny Larson, their Master Weaver. Benny worked tirelessly all day in our front window, weaving Wishbone chair seats, one after another. His focus, speed and accuracy was astonishing.

Having weaved dozens of these chairs myself, this guy is a boss. It looks simple, and in theory it is a simple process, but to make it look this good takes a lot of skill. Benny is awesome. Awesome work.

Anyone know if Carl Hansen sells that little metal rope clamp 0:30 ? 😅 Also want to recognize the sweet workbench and accompanying ‘chair clamp’ keeping the chair solidly in place 🫶 need that setup in my life
